Penn Antique Restoration. 51"x82" Antique Chestnut Double Entry Doors w/Leaded Textured Glass. Gorgeous. Antique, double entry doors salvaged from a recently demolished church in Northeastern WV. Each door is made of solid chestnut and has 1 half-length window with 2 horizontal, recessed panels underneath. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. Which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940. Hardware: Besides 1 flushbolt. The doors are not equipped with hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. If you prefer. We could also plug all hardware holes with solid blocks of wood- email us for a quote. Restoration: see photos under"At ... morethe point of salvage" We found the doors completely covered under many layers of paint. There were a few broken pieces of glass and the leaded skeletons of the lites were weak and falling apart. On top of that. Someone replaced the original glass with modern, green, slag glass. Since then. We've stripped the paint and sanded the doors. We took the lites to the local stained glass repair shop that we've been going to for years"Kasmark& Marshall" in Luzerne. PA, and they completely reworked them! They took out all of the glass from the lites and separated the old pieces from the new. They replaced all of the new pieces, with old pieces(many of which are no longer commercially available) and then encased them in a new, leaded skeleton. The work took weeks and cost over $900! Condition: The doors are strong. Sturdy, and in great structural shape! There are a few cosmetic blemishes(character marks) including some chips in the inner corners; there is a long, but shallow crack in the lower portion of the hinge stile on one of the doors; the molding around the glass was cut to accommodate the support bars of the lites; and there are 2 slivers of wood under one

Vintage 1930’s Arts & Crafts Leaded Opaque Glass - Tudor Style Door Sidelights
Here’s a good solid pair of vintage door or window sidelights- nice old white paint with leaded thumbprint Tudor style or Arts& Crafts 1930’s glass windows which measure 47” Tall x 7.25” Wide. Both wooden side frames measure a total of 80" Tall x 10" Wide and 10" Deep. They are great for new construction or even restoration projects. Glass is good throughout. You might even be able to take out the leaded glass and use them as a pair of defused lighting windows for a faire booth. This was a salvaged pair of door sidelights from an antique shop. Condition: Very Good to Excellent for their age. A finish carpenter would have to bring out the true beauty of these unique sidelight doors. I do not know for sure what the wood is made of. The doors measure 30" x 80" w/ a 5.5" wood frame around the leaded glass centers. The doors came from an estate on the Detroit River that was being torn down in the early 1980's. Up for auction is an Antique door and matching side lights. The door and the side lights are both leaded and beveled. The items came out of a building dated 1893. Items are in good shape despite their age and consistent use. Some of the lead on the door will need sealed as with any old leaded glass door/windows. Door has typical water damage areas where the wood has swollen a little during the years. The door was previously painted white(exterior side) at one time and the paint is chipping off. AWESOME door set. The glass is in perfect shape. I don't see a crack anywhere. The wood is in good shape but could use some sanding and a fresh finish. The pictures are from my garage and don't do this set justice. I didn't even clean the glass. It's a really beautiful set. All pieces have nice sturdy weight to them. This is the real deal! The hardware is all original and very cool. There has been a newer deadbolt added at some point. Gorgeous salvaged 36" door with a beautiful leaded glass window. Dating from the early 1900s. This exterior door's pane is crowned with an egg and dart trimmed pediment with a stylized fleur-des-lis at its center. The window features a geometric pattern of curved shapes, rectangles and diamonds, with a central quatrefoil composed of beveled glass. The surrounding glass is a combination of different patterned panes with rippled, ribbed and glue-chipped glass. Below the pane is a simple shelf accented with swirling volutes and foliates underneath. The door has been stained a rich dark brown and has the wear and tear typical of an old door. Here are 2 sets of Arched 9 Panel Leaded Glass Doors. Original Finish. Each door 8 foot 31/2 inches tall by 34 to 35 inches wide. over 2+ inches thick. First 3 pics. Quarter Sawn Oak on one side and Figured Mahogany on the other. Second Set Last 3 pics Mahogany on both sides. About 2/3 of the Mahogany sides are Quarter Sawn. They were hinged as to open just part of door all are froze up. Some glass wood trim missing and 3 small squares of glass broke, I will include 2/3 of another door with trim and same glass.
