The door is made of solid white pine and features 4 raised panels and 4 glass lites which align and create a beautiful fan-like design. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like ... moreany of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. The door is made of wrought iron or steel and features 2 removable window panels with tempered, safety glass. On the exterior side of the door, there is a strip of lovely scrollwork spanning across the center of the door. Directly above and below the strip, are 3, vertical bars and a 2 beautiful, ornate vine, leaf, and acorn motifs. The door and details are painted black. Hardware: The door comes equipped with a handle with push button latch-activator(no key. But currently unlocked) and a lever and latch. There is a bracket on the interior side of the door, in the center to attach a closer, and 2 hinge halves on the exterior side of the door. Vintage Wood Exterior Screen Door With Copper Grid 35" w x 84" h My parents bought the house we live in now in 1964. At some point after that. They removed the wood screen doors and wood window screens and put them in the barn. This door was on the front entrance, but has been in the barn now for many years. The house was built in the late 1930's so I assume it is original to that time. The door has many layers of paint. Some of which I am sure contain lead. The top layer seems to be a black or a very, very dark green in color and is chipping in numerous places. The frame is about 35" wide and 84" tall. I believe all parts are intact and original. The grid is made of copper and needs cleaning. FINE VINTAGE EXTERIOR/ INTERIOR SOLID WOOD DOOR W/ BEVEL& TEXTURED GLASS# 43 with 8 small Jewels. Size: 35.75" wide x 83. high x 1.75" thick. 85 lbs. A very heavy duty door that shows average wear. Had been used as an interior door. The beveled and textured leaded glass is in an octagonal shape. The door in general has a nice design and is very substantial as it weighs 85 lbs and the wood is thick. Shows some typical wear with some surface scratches. There is light paint residue that should clean up.Nice graining. One hinge is bent. But hardware is intact including the door handles. No lock. There are two panes with cracks as shown. 8 small jewels. Good looking door that just needs a little TLC.
