This set is in excellent ... morecosmetic and mechanical condition with only the typical signs of wear and use. Although the design on the lock and door plates are often refered to as the"Ceylon" pattern. That name was limited to the knob design seen with this set. This set includes a matching strike plate that has been opened up a bit, but otherwise looks fine. The switch on the face plate of the lock allows the door to be closed in a prelocked position and the included latch bolt key is needed to properly utilize this feature. The set includes one bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. Two"Ceylon" pattern knobs, one large door plate and round knob escutcheon, matching strike plate, single keyhole cover, and both the latchbolt and deadbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice functioning lock set ready to be installed. The mortise lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 5/8" and the face plate is 6 13/16" tall x 1" wide. The lock box is 4 5/8" tall x 5/8" thick x 3 9/16" deep. The large door plate is 7 1/4" tall x 1 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. The round escutcheon is 2 1/8" in diameter, the strike plate is 4 1/4" x 15/16" and the keyhole cover is 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" If your going to spend real money on a vintage lock set you should expect no broken or missing pieces. A look inside the lock box, pieces that have not been abraded and diminished by sand blasting and at a minimum the ability to make a return. There are all sorts here including wood ones from the victorian period. A few early metal ones, and a weird brass figural rabbit. I think the rabbit may not be a door stop but it sure looks like one. It may just be a draw pull. The most awesome is that massive brass/bronze one as seen close-up in the last 4 pictures. It is simply massive and beautiful! The condition of the stops are generally good with varying degrees of typical wear from age and use, as pictured. One is missing a screw, another has some nail holes, and none have been cleaned. Beautiful Antique Eastlake Victorian Brass Doorbell Pullchain Bell Hardware NICE
Up for auction is this antique doorbell. It was purchased at auction here in Ohio. It measures@ 5" in diameter. It has nice Eastlake style decoration on the brass bell. The back and inside components appear to be made of cast iron. The patent date on the inside is 1876. The bell is complete except for the pullchain. You can see on the photo which shows you the back side a channel that the chain goes in. You can easily attach a small chain or rope to make this complete. It has a nice ring to it. Up For Auction A Matching Set of Three 4" x 4" Hinges(auction is for the set of 3) Brass Plated Cast-Iron beautiful restored condition Cleaned. Polished, and sealed. These hinges have no looseness, or play in them when they are opened. A high quality set of hinges that have not been abused. A couple of areas the brass plating was thin so the iron shows through, these areas polished up nicely so they appear shiny silver, not noticeable as they blend in with the shiny brass as seen in the photos. The pins come out with a little effort(by hand) as they fit tightly, the other ball knob on the other end of the hinge unscrews out. The came out of a really old farmhouse off the front door, after removing several heavy coats of paint the brass was revealed! The black background on the hinges show the brass detailing even better.

There are 4 doors. 2 have door jambs(We DO have other door jambs that will work with doors)and 2 without. Each of the doors has its original heavy brass ornate door knobs& plates& lock sets(sorry no key) all the brass is in need of polishing to bring out the serious beauty that hidden here, also all the hinges are present as well. The doors are in good condition. Some will need some work if you desire restored. These haven't even been wiped down yet. a few places where veneer is lifting, one spot of abrasion, lower edge chip needs glued. See all photos which shows areas of imperfection. Salvaged decades ago from a major bank. This is a Bronze(or brass? entry door. The door is stored in a Jersey City warehouse and photos were hard to take as the item was extremely heavy and located behind another object, and it was stored'upside down' So, the vertical decorative columns within the door are actually in the lower half; the upper portion is open- should have glass in it. The door is 81 tall, 34 wide, and 1/5 thick. Appears to be solid metal. Fantastic, elegant detail. The lower hinge is present(in photo) Could not determine what the top hinge looks like. Lock set appears to be a standard item( see photo) A terrific addition to a custom home, garden house, or commercial space. Local pickup only.

These doors measure 79"x 22"x 3" Each has 43 brass pegs on front and the back has an interesting iron designs throughout. Doors are some form of hard wood, I believe one part is Oak with maybe a Teak but not for certain. They are very heavy, each weighing about 200 pounds. These came from an old church/mission in Carson City Nevada, believed to have existed since late 1700 maybe early 1800's. The character/ design of these doors is very unique. It is brass plated and there is a mix of brass and steel underneath. It appears to have been used quite a bit, but overall in decent condition considering its age. This is a very cool and unique piece of door hardware that would make a great addition to someones collection!
