Antique, interior door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door has a solid Douglas Fir core covered with 1/4" Rift and Quarter Sawn Oak veneers. This door also features 4 recessed panels! Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/4" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. Hardware: The door is not equipped with any hardware. However. We have a good selection of period hardware to outfit the door(check out our eBay store) If you would like any of the hardware holes patched with a solid block of wood. Please email us for a quote. Condition: This door ... moreis in very good shape with only surface scrapes. Scratches, small nail holes-minor cosmetic blemishes, which would be removed during the finishing process or covered if painted. Quirks& Considerations: There is a gap approx. 1/8" between the top rail and lock stile; and the height of the door was unevenly cut by approx. 1/4" at some point.
