Vintage lot of 3 Glass door knobs + a stem antique
Two vintage glass door knobs on a stem. Also another glass knob but it is not exactly the same design as the pair. Nice art deco. The pair thread on the stem fine and the set screws are good. About 7 inches long including the stem and 2 inches wide. I do not know exactly how old they are but they are old. It has aging and wear. But not much, these look real nice. See photos for condition. I do not see any serious cracks. Dents, repairs, nor damage. It is vintage and in as found condition and will look even better if properly cleaned. The Antique Primitive Door is from a 100 year old Country home that had to be demolished. I have cleaned it up some and it would be great to use on a porch or country home for looks not to be used as a door to open and close best if used somewhere under roof due to age. The Door is very heavy and some rough shape see description I have written. The Original White Porcelain door knobs are wonderful. Also the Buttermilk white Paint is original and has chipping. One side of door has a old pink paint or red with a lot of fading of color over the white paint which is neat. The size of the door is 81 inches tall and 34 1/2 inches wide. A nice antique 4 panel wood door I removed from a 1870's Victorian farmhouse here in Mathews county Virginia. It measures 29 7/8 x 77 3/8 inch. It has the original lock and 2 white porcelain doorknobs. It uses a common skeleton key. It is in good condition with original surface. One side has old white paint and the other side has great patinated varnished surface. Bottom corner has a little gnawing and 1 panel has a crack. Being sold local pick up only. 1886 Russell & Erwin Door Knobs & Lock with American Eagle United States Seal
Here is a wonderful pair of door knobs still attached to their lock. Both have the United States or American Seal with the Eagle. They are marked as having been made by Russell& Erwin and have two patent dates. One from October 12. 1886 and the other February 1896. I don't know what building they came out of and haven't been able to find anything about them other than Russell& Erwin made locks in the mid 1800s. As I tried to show these brass knobs have verdigris and one has a dent. I haven't tried to clean these up in any way and will let the new owner do that if they wish. I have no key. Vintage Door with Antique Hardware Oval Knobs and Decorative Plates
Offered is this old door with original hardware. I was going to just list the hardware and not the whole door but it is a very heavy strong door so I thought I would do this first and see if anyone wanted the door as well. As you can see the door needs refinishing but it is very solid. I am not sure of the wood. It has very decorative hardware on one side and plain on the other. It has a keyhole cover on one side. I think this it may have been a hotel door because you can see the memory of a number on the ornate side. There is some kind of little round thing where it looks like a peep hole was but it doesn't go through so it wasn't a peep hole. The hindges are not complete and are plain. The door measures about 80 1/2" tall and 32 1/2" wide. If someone is interested in only the hardware please contact me and we can go from ... morethere.
