Antique Art Nouveau Vase Arts & Crafts Movement Hammered Metal
For sale is this exquisite antique Art Nouveau Vase. I also list this under Arts& Crafts as I believe it to be a cross-over piece. There are elements of both movements in its design. I found he vase buried in an old house. It was just filthy but I loved the design so much that I had to purchase it. Really did take me an incredibly long time to polish. I left the underside unpolished so you could see how much it needed to be cleaned. I believe this is silver plate over brass. Some of the brass is showing through. Which is most apparent on the bottom ring. There are a few dings as shown, which is why I have my opening bid priced so low. However, really lovely and a wonderful find. Measures approx. 13 1/2" h with a base diameter of 5" Shipping is $9.95 across US connecting states.

Antique Art NOUVEAU Arts& Crafts WATERBURY Brass Clock w/ BIRD c. 1894 Here is a gorgeous original antique brass Waterbury art Nouveau clock. It stands 7 1/2 ins. tall by 4 ins. wide at the base. It is in good condition. I have no idea if it works as I am always scared to wind these to test, so I don't. The clock face is in good shape, original glass cover. It is marked Manufactured by Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A. On the back plate it is marked with this. Last patent date is 1894 for this one. Then you see the other Waterbury mark. Clock face is about 1 15/16ths ins. approx. I liked the little bird down here. I believe this is brass with a brass finish. A magnet does not stick to it( besides the back cover plate)It is fairly light-weight. So not bronze. I am also listing some other Art Nouveau clocks I bought in separate auctions. The longer piece is 6.25" x 3 5/8" deep and 2" tall, this seems to be missing the bottom plate. The other piece is 4.5" long, 5' deep and 3 3/8" tall. Both have the similar methods of construction. These antique tudric pewter napkin rings are becoming scarce and this one is a beautiful one to add to your set. It has no defects. The only mark is"made in England" These come from Liberty& Co. Though this one is not marked as such. They were retailed in the early 1900s. I have seen these attributed to Archibald Knox in prior auctions but I am not certain about that. This is a solid walnut carved art- nouveau/craftsman- styled desk which is finished on all four sides. I am estimating it was made between 1895-1915. When this style was gaining popularity. However, this kind of desk is extremely RARE. Especially since it is finished on all four sides. The very first photo has the front finished side with the five drawers/cabinets, and the other side has the identical carvings but with no drawers(last photo listed) There are also two different close-ups of either side of the most carved part, photos 2 and 7. The very first picture is a photo of the desk without the red felt covering, which was replaced recently after it was discovered through restoration work that the original top of the desk was red felt originally. ANTIQUE ROYCROFT ART POTTERY LITTLE BROWN JUG ARTS CRAFTS OVOID STONEWARE CROCK!
I am selling my highly collectible ANTIQUE early's ROYCROFT SHOPS ARTS& CRAFTS ART POTTERY" LITTLE BROWN JUG" As I need to downsize some of my pottery collections. This darling"Little Brown Jug" stands 5" tall X 4" at the widest point of the jug body. The spout sits 7/8" above the body and the handle is large enough to put a fat finger through. The handle sits 1 1/4" out to the side. This little jug is heavy art pottery stoneware in the traditional Arts& Crafts manner with the typical satin matte glaze. The glaze is a rich coffee brown and there are several decorative"rings" under the glaze at the widest point in the body(see photos) This was made by the Roycroft Shops out of Aurora NY in the early 1900's. The jug is marked on the unglazed underside with the Roycroft" ... moreR" in a circle below the stylized cross. The impression of the stamp is not deep. But legible. The jug is in very good antique condition, it is almost 100 years old! There are no cracks, chips or repairs however the rich brown glaze does have a few little"glaze pops" here and there in the glaze only, not the clay. There are three small glaze pops that are the size of a large pin head and another a bit larger, about 1/8" in diameter. Most of these are in one area so the jug will display nicely. They are old glaze pops that are often found on art pottery, as this is the nature of the glaze. This is not considered damage as these"pops" usually occurred during firing and manufacture. The glazes are never smooth and there are usually little lumps and bumps under the glaze. These pops are tiny and well documented in my pictures. Roycroft shops art pottery is highly collectible and this is a nice size. This would look perfect with your other primitives. Mission setting or for display with dried straw flowers. I have a lot of Mission furniture and this is a nice accent piece. This is a thick, heavy little jug, thus the shipping cost. This is a great price as

From estate. Hard to describe the type of decor of this item other than to say it is great. About 16 1/2 inches tall and 20 inches wide. The condition is very good. Only this item could get away with missing three out of four front finials. I took a picture of the top left corner and you will note that there is a wooden finial which comes out towards you so to speak. If you removed this one no one would notice the other three are missing. Otherwise the only condition issue is a small about 3/4 inch surface crack at the very top edge on the right. see photo) Not visible unless you look down on it. This early hand blown green Satin Art Glass Vase has a polished pontil. Applied around the top is a hand tooled pewter design of Leaves and Flowers that contour to the shape of the vase. At the top are four Arts& Crafts designs accented with iridescent“turtle back” glass jewels. These jewels have a textured uneven surface which reflects the blues, purples and greens. The larger jewels are 5/8” in diameter and the smaller ones are 3/8” This hand tooled, pewter top is also unsigned. 2 Table Doilies Arts& Craft Doily Mats centerpiece antique Here are two lovely linen antique small table doilies with an arts& crafts art deco motif. The hand embroidered table doily features a side view of a butterfly done in a chain stitch on each side of the doily. The butterfly's wings are in bright shades of orange embroidery threads and the body is done in black embroidery thread. Above this is a flower design in a chain stitch and embroidered french knots. At the top of the table doily are 2 more embroidered flowers with chain stitch embroidery and french knots. The table doily's is hand embroidered using embroidery threads of black. Orange, yellow, green and blue. It is nicely accented with a black embroidery thread around the edges. The table doily measures 10" x 7" approximately. The antique small table ... moredoilies are in very good pre-owned condition. I saw no wear or holes to the table doilies however you may want to tuck in a few stray ends of the fabric at the bottom edge.
