Penn Antique Restoration. 31.5"x81" Antique Arched Door w/4 Raised Panels. Unusual. Antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted on both sides. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has an arched top with 4 raised panels on both sides. Quirks& ... moreConsiderations: The door originally had a 5th panel at the bottom. ANTIQUE ROUND TOP EXTERIOR ENTRANCE DOOR WITH FRAME
This pine-I believe door is 84" tall by 39 1/2" wide and is 2 1/4" thick. All original hinges. Knob, latches etc. There is plenty of wear from use. This needs refinishing. It is structurally sound as is the frame. The trim as you can see has some cracks/breaks that need work or just get new trim. I will build a special long pallet for this. ONLY ONE DOOR-the door on the left. With hardware removed(although it will be included) Solid wood door with original glass removed from my 1904 Victorian home. Again, this buy-it-now is for ONE door. Most of the woodwork in my house, including the floors, is pine, so I'm assuming these doors are pine. Beautiful scalloped carving surrounding the glass. One door has a significant chip on the top inside corner, shown in one photograph. Otherwise, minor nicks and scratches, overall in good shape. I believe if you stripped these, patched and finished, they will look beautiful. And the original wavy glass is gorgeous. The doors are not perfectly square, so I will give the range of measurements. I removed the lockset from one door to distinguish the two, but mortise lock, plate, knobs, and iron hinges ARE INCLUDED! All are original to the doors ... moreexcept the deadbolts. A remarkable antique arched exterior door ornamented with a leaf design. In its original jamb with leaf-detailed interior trim and a beautiful stained finish. Salvaged from a house in Kentucky, this Eastlake door dates from 1880’s. It features a gorgeous leaf design throughout, with rosettes at the top above the glass, and decorative chamfered edges surrounding the panels. The inside of the door features a simpler paneled design, with the leaf pattern on the trim surrounding the door.
