This set is in excellent ... morecosmetic and mechanical condition with only the typical signs of wear and use. Although the design on the lock and door plates are often refered to as the"Ceylon" pattern. That name was limited to the knob design seen with this set. This set includes a matching strike plate that has been opened up a bit, but otherwise looks fine. The switch on the face plate of the lock allows the door to be closed in a prelocked position and the included latch bolt key is needed to properly utilize this feature. The set includes one bronze faced reversible entry mortise lock. Two"Ceylon" pattern knobs, one large door plate and round knob escutcheon, matching strike plate, single keyhole cover, and both the latchbolt and deadbolt keys. Also included is a reconditioned knob spindle with new set screws. The set screw holes have been deburred so the screws turn in easily. This is a very nice functioning lock set ready to be installed. The mortise lock's backset to the keyhole is 2 5/8" and the face plate is 6 13/16" tall x 1" wide. The lock box is 4 5/8" tall x 5/8" thick x 3 9/16" deep. The large door plate is 7 1/4" tall x 1 15/16" wide. The knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. Pair of Victorian antique 4x4 door hinges - plus one cracked one
For sale is pair of Victorian door hinges. Stamped on back"4x4" and measures 4"x4" not including the pin. They have old white paint on them and are otherwise in good condition. I have a 3rd hinge which has is broken on one side; if you want it I'll include it. Please see photos. I am selling quite a few lots of hardware.please see my other auctions. Antique Vintage Interior 6-Horizontal Panel Door 1900s Interior Door with Six Horizontal Panels Nice Ogee Thickness: 1.75 inches Exact measurement: 31.75 x 70 This door was in our 1912 home. It was a service door. And was between the kitchen and the mud room. It has the same design as the doors on our third floor, which was for the live-in help(like I have any! It is different in style from the"formal" doors in what would be called"the family's" area of the house. There is a nice ogee surrounding each panel. There was a towel bar on one side of the door. So there are two screw holes on each side. Please see the photo. These are easily filled and painted over, of course. If you are thinking of stripping and staining the door, those are the only holes in the door(other than the holes for the door knobs, plates, etc. ... moreThe nickle-plated knobs. The nickle-plated back plates, and the brass locking mechanism are NOT included, but were left on to show you the thickness of the door. These pieces MAY be available for purchase separately. I believe it is birch. Since all of the other doors in the house are birch(and I stripped all of them, so I know they were birch) I have not attempted to strip this door. It is heavy. Much heavier than a similar size pine door I have stored in the basement. We weighed it on a bathroom scale, and it is approximately 75 pounds. Measurements: 70 inches tall by 31.75 inches wide. 1.75 inches thick. Much thicker than more modern doors. You can pick this up locally in St. Paul. Minnesota, or I will work with your shipper to get it to you. I got estimates for someone who lives in Rutherford, New Jersey. I'm in St. Paul, Minnesota. The least expensive freight charge was about $85. Our home is smoke-free. Perfume-free. But pet-friendly. Nothing I send you will smell of smoke or perfume. Ever. SUPERB PR VICTORIAN ANTIQUE ART NOUVEAU DOOR FINGER PLATES 1880 These are a superb MATCHING PAIR OF ART NOVEAU DOOR FINGER PLATES. In my estimation they date from around the late 19th Century. Circa 1880-1900, but please make up your own mind about this. The finger plates each measure approx 11 inches(280mm) long by 3 inches(75mm) wide. And are made from metal, with a copper plated finish. They are in very good condition. Apart from a worn patch on the copper finish on one plate(see photos. There are no splits, dings, or repairs. Description This is a nice antique French door that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian mansion. It is made of pine and is currently unapinted. It is a double swinging door and the lower hardware is intact. The upper hardware is missing the pin. 4 pieces of glass are missing but the mullions are intact. It has both push plates. It needs sanded and restained or painted because the old finish is uneven. It measures 30 inches wide. By 79.5 inches tall. It's 1 and 3/8 inches thick. Overall. It is in decent condition. Description This door surround was salvaged from a beautiful farmhouse circa 1805 near Liberty. Maine. The two legs have arched designs at the top. The pediment has several simple corbels supporting the top shelf. The wood is age appropriately weathered with white paint. Looks very cool. One board and one piece of crown molding will need replacing if you wish. See the pictures carefully. It measures 94 and 3/4 inches at the widest point. Is 112 inches tall and is 8 inches deep. Antique Vintage Interior 1-Panel Door 1912 Interior Door with One Panel Nice Ogee Measures: 89 10/16 x 31 3/4 x 1 3/4 Solid Birch(not a veneer) This door was in our 1912 home. It was the formal door separating the kitchen from the foyer. The design on the formal doors in the house is a simple but elegant one panel with ogee. The service doors had six horizontal panels with the same ogee. I have one listed separately. By service door. I mean where the servants worked and lived. The six-horizontal-panel doors were in the kitchen and on the third floor. All of"the family's" doors were the one-panel design. There is a nice ogee surrounding the panel. The nickle-plated knobs. The nickle-plated back plates, and the locking mechanism are NOT included, but were left on to show you the thickness of the door. These pieces MAY be available ... morefor purchase separately. I believe it is birch. Since all of the other doors in the house are birch(and I stripped all of them, so I know they were birch) I have not attempted to strip this door. It is heavy. Here is a great old painted entry door w/glass that was removed from a home that was built in the 1920's or 30's. All of the hardware is included: 3) surface-mounted hinges and complete lockset(minus key) This type of door is really not well-suited for exterior use. They were typically found inside of a covered porch or entry as this one was. The glass pane is fully intact with no cracks or breaks. It is flat glass with no bevels or ornamentation. Both sides of the door are painted, one side is white and the other has a faux-finish that's supposed to look like wood. There are a few nicks and gouges throughout, but these could ... moreeasily be addressed if the door was to be painted. Please note: this door has finger joints on the stiles(see pic) Though it is solid wood and not veneered. It looks like these were paint-grade doors that someone had stained instead. These really should be painted! Also,there is a crack near the hole for the lockset(see pic) Here is a 2-panel door removed from an older home. Most likely from the 1950's-60's. The door is in nice overall condition. Though there are scratches, gouges and small holes throughout(see pics) It has a light layer of stain on it, so just a light sanding/hole-filling and it's ready for paint. Penn Antique Restoration. 31.5"x81" Antique Arched Door w/4 Raised Panels. Unusual. Antique door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern Ohio. The door is made of solid, old pine and is painted on both sides. If you think that pine is a weak. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has an arched top with 4 raised panels on both sides. Quirks& ... moreConsiderations: The door originally had a 5th panel at the bottom. But I believe that it was removed to let a pet cross between rooms. We could make and add a new panel- email us for a quote. The height of the door is slightly uneven. It doesn't look like it was modified. And it just looks like that was the way it was built-possibly a custom-build door? The lock stile is a 1/4" taller than the hinge stile. Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door doesn't come equipped with any hardware. However. The door has a solid pine core covered with 1/8" thick, red oak veneers, and has 1 impressive, full-length window. When most people hear"pine" they think of a cheap. Weak, and soft wood. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. Vintage Sliding Fire Door & Hardware Commercial Factory Antique Barn Door
1930's fire door 2-1/2" thick 68" wide 92" high on tall side 88" tall on short side. Manufactured by Willis in Galesburg IL. Around the 1930's UL Tags on the door. There is a counter weight attached by a rope to a pulley system that allows the very heavy door to slide open and closed with very little effort. In the event of a fire the rope burns off and the counter weights fall to the floor and the door will automatically slide closed. For sale locally so auction may end at any time if sold. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has a rare design featuring 4 recessed ... morepanels: 1 square panel on top and 3 long. Vertical panels below. Notice that there is no molding around the inner edges of the panels-shaker style! Hardware: Although the photos show some hardware installed; the door doesn't come equipped with any hardware.
