Antique decorative pieces taken out of 1875 house. I know the ones like this are called coins they have the round circle in the middle but not sure what these are called. There are a total of seven avaliable if not sold. Price on auction is for one. They were all in the same room and painted white in good condition. I have bent the nails back as you may want to cut them off. Very decorative with the three wood dots-flower or sunburst in the middle. They measure 10-1/4" long x 5" in width x a depth of approx. 1-1/4" There will be two more stained ones in my store as a bin not in as good condition.

The doors are made of solid pine and have large glass lites. One of the doors(Door#3) has plexiglass installed instead of glass. Unfortunately. We do not have any old glass this size, however, we could order a new glass lite(i.e. beveled, tempered leaded, stained, etc. and install it- email us for a quote. New pine hewn from 10- 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Also. Please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. ... moreThe door could be sanded and refinished several times before the door would need to be re-veneered. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. The door has 5. The door has a solid, ash core covered with 1/16" thick, ash veneers. Ash is a hardwood that looks very similar to Oak. The door is finished on one side and painted on the other. There are 6, horizontal, recessed panels on both sides of the door. Also, please don't think that"veneer" means inferior quality. Unlike the paper-thin veneers used on modern doors and furniture. These veneers are almost 1/8" thick and provide strength and stability to the door. There are globs of dried paint stripper on the painted side of the door. And some of the globs on the lower portion have some mold. The globs are not positioned in a logical pattern, and they seem ... morelike the got onto the door by accident. The globs and mold are very easy to remove, and pose no threat to the door whatsoever; we only mentioned this to you so there is no confusion about what the dark spots are. Hardware: The door is equipped with a spring-loaded. Double-action, floor-mounted hinge in the lower, hinge stile corner, and a pivot hinge in the upper corner. The spring-loaded hinge is functional. But whether or not the spring is strong enough to swing the door back and forth will be unknown until installed. There are no push plates or pulls/handles, but we have some in our eBay store. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. This is a very unique relic wooden door or gate from Southwestern America. It could be in a Spanish style. We found this piece to have a very unique look and many possibilities for actual functional use as a architectural piece. It appears to be made of either Hickory or Birch but it is a hard wood used. This piece is very sturdy and strong and has several iron patch repairs which gives it a wonderful look. This piece could be used as a cabinet door or a pass though door it is a very nice size. The frame is 26 1/2" wide and with the extensions on the end boards it is 39 1/4" high and 2 1/2" thick. It is like a piece from the old west. Really old west, early 19th century. Soft wood; please keep in mind that the wood milled from modern pine trees, which only grow for a few decades before they are cut down, is not the same quality as the wood that was milled by our forefathers from trees that were hundreds of years old. This door was built using the wood from mature pine trees, and exhibits the qualities of wood that has endured the test of time. As a result, it's physically harder, less susceptible to warping and twisting, and more insect and rot resistant than today's pine lumber. Hardware: Aside from ... morea mortise lock.
