What is now Poland, by the Herman Ohme Factory, this porcelain plate was probably imported as a blank by a firm that sold unpainted plates to the studio and hand crafters of the early 1920s. The decoration consists of a 5 floral sprays that were divided by art deco influenced straight line patterns. The edge and deco lines have all been enhanced with gilt and the flowers are done in shades of pink. Blue, yellow and green. The plate measures 8 3/8" across and is in excellent condition. There are no chips. Cracks or nicks. No surface scratching and minimal wear to the base. The back is marked with the logo or back stamp used by the Herman Ohme facility ... morearound 1920. Antique P K Silesia German Porcelain Plate Beautiful. Very old porcelain plate made by Porzellanfabik Konigzelt, Silesia, circa 1910. The plate is very ornate. It has piecing, beading and scalloping on the edge. It has a light green paint over the beads. The main decoration is pink roses on the white back ground of the plate. The roses appear to be transfer as opposed to hand painted. It has a green underglaze mark on the back. It measures 10 1/8 inches in diameter and is 1 1/2 inches tall. This auction is for a Pair of Prussia Antique Germany Hermann Ohme Plates Porcelain. Fair condition. Gold edging is worn on both, otherwise good shape. Measure about 8" in Diameter, 1" deep. Hermann Ohme Porcelains Ohme china is a beautiful porcelain produced by the Porcelain Manufacturer Hermann Ohme between 1882 and 1928. The factory was located in Niedersalzbrunn. Silesia, Germany(now the town of Walbrzych in Western Poland) This factory produced two major types of porcelain. Which are generally referred to as clear glaze and Old Ivor(y) porcelains. Both lines of Ohme Porcelains were produced in full dinner sets and multiple accessories similar to those produced by the Haviland Factory in Limoges, France, during this period. Ohme clear glaze porcelains were produced for sale in Europe. As well as the United States. Numerous undecorated ... morepieces were also sold in the United States for hand decorating, a popular activity in the early twentieth century. Some were purchased by commercial decorating firms such as Pickard, and numerous souvenir plates were produced for sale here and in Europe. Delicate Design in Soft Pastels! This Gorgeous Porcelain Cabinet Plate was made between 1932 and 1938 in Silesia. A region of then Germany, which became Poland in 1945. According to my research, the backstamp is attributed to porcelain manufacturer Kuno Steinmann(K.S. of Tiefenfurt Parowa. The Plate is 8-3/4" in diameter and in Good to Very Good Condition, with No Chips, Cracks, or Repairs. It is beaded around the gold trim. The roses on this plate are a lovely soft pink. Porzellanfabrik Koenigszelt Silesia. P K Silesia, Refers to Porzellanfabrik meaning"porcelain factory" and Koenigszelt meaning the town near the factory in Silesia in Northeastern Germany. Silesia was part of Germany until 1880 and after that it was part of Poland until World War II. The backstamp on the back was named"the king's tent" because the thought was Frederick the Great might have pitched his tent nearby during the Seven Years War.
