Beautiful 19th century Staffordshire transferware mulberry 9-1/2" plate in very good condition. No chips. No cracks. No hairlines. No repairs. Threre's typical overall crazing throughout and a few light utensil marks in the center. There's a very slight bit of roughnes in a few tiny areas of the rim. very insignificant. Lovely pattern called"Albion" by S H& Co. The background is creamy white and the transfer color is an eggplant or plum color. I think the plate was made in the late 1800's. Nice and early. This auction is for a matching set of 4 Old Ironstone Polychrome Mulberry Transferware Plates. I am not certain of the exact maker but I believe they date to the late 1800s. They are each marked on the back"Marone Dresden Flowers" and with the number 1955. Which is clearly a pattern number and not a year. These plates are very rare and are especially hard to find in this quantity. If you can find them. It is typically one plate at a time. They measure 8 inches across and each have 12 sides. I believe they would be considered lunch plates. There are no chips or cracks in any of the plates. All the plates have fine. Even crazing as is expected from ironstone of this era. One plate is in very good condition without any discoloration. One plate has some discoloration on the back only. One plate has moderate discoloration on the front ... moreand back. A standing individual in the forefront and several dogs. This scene is in the center of the 9 7/16 inch plate. A thick border of scrolls, flowers, and other decorative designs frames the scene. Up for auction is a beautiful 10" Mulberry or Black Transferware Plate in the Dresdon pattern. By E. Challinor and CS. It is very old and the transfer does show some flow. Beautiful a ntique T.J. J. Mayer mulberry/black transferware plate Rhone Scenery. This plate measures 9 3/4" in diameter and is made of a heavy earthenware. The mulberry/black transfer is ornate and detailed. Scrolls. Floral swags and a textured background surround the rim. The scene depicts a castle on the Rhone River, with mountains in the background and a family standing by a set of marble steps in the foreground. It has a slight Asian influence in design from the many Chinese export pieces of the period. It is in remarkable condition for being almost 200 years old but does have one good size chip on the rim that occurred some time ago. The chip reveals a dark earthenware that has soiled so much over time the chip is barely noticeable at first glance. It can be seen in photos 1, 2 and 4 at just about 3 o'clock. It is a lovely example of fine Mulberry Transferware. The plate has no chips but does have 2 hairline cracks, some discoloration and crazing.mostly on the back side. The glaze is still in fairly good condition as it is typical that at this age there is often areas of missing glaze but other than the crazing the plate still has a nice shine. I have other pcs in this pattern that are signed Clews, although this one is not, so I can't guarantee that, just an assumption. No chips, cracks, or damage. Offered here is the antique Job& John Jackson Clyde Scenery English Transferware mulberry color 8" plate with a Scotland scene on the front. The palte is from the Scotland Clyde Scenery Collection. Job& John Jackson operated in Burslem Staffordshire from 1831- 1835. The plate is in overall very nice condition. It has some slight darkening on the back. There is a small fleabite rub on the rim. This may be a small chip but it feels like a rub wear. Either way it is not new to the plate and has been there for many years as it has some slight darkening. Antique black and white mulberry/flow/staffordshire/transferware cup
This is an antique Black and White flow. Staffordshire/transterware cup. I am not sure of the pattern name, there are two blue hash marks, or the no. 11 on the bottom of the cup. It is a pretty scene with a couple in the foreground, and a castle off in the background. There is normal crazing to the cup, and one flea bite on the rim, in the 5th picture, and a small nick on the bottom, in the second picture. Neither shows up when the cup in merely sitting, and do not detract from its collectible value. The cup stands 3 1/8" tall, and the rim is 3 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" with the handle. It would be a great addition to a black and white collection.

Antique Transferware Cups 2 Mulberry Transferware Cups Two Panama Transferware
Auction if for two transferware cups. There is no markings on bottoms. But I believe these to be the Panama pattern by E. Challinor& Co. I also have 4 plates listed that are marked with Panama, E. Challinor& Co. and they match the two cups. One cup has a small chip on bottom. Both have the usual discoloration for dishes that are 160 years old.

Antique Transferware Plates (4) Mulberry Panama Transferware Chargers 8.5"
Auction is for four(4) original Transferware plates made by E. Challinor& Co. from 1853-1862. In the Panama pattern. I believe the color is called mulberry. Center is a river or canal scene with 3 figures. All in all, plates are in good condition for 160 years old. Three plates are 8.5" across, and the one that is more discolored is thicker and 1/8" smaller. Two has some bubbles from when they were made. One has an eraser size chip on back side.

These 2 were in the most presentable condition. While at one time they were used for meals. As there are utensil scuffs on the surface, for the last 25 years they were hung on a wall. Both plates are not perfect and have hairline cracks all around the inside middle. Fine Clews Zoological Gardens 8" Mulberry Transferware Plate ~ The Otter House
Here is a wonderful mulberry transferware plate. Made by Ralph and James Clews about 1830. The pattern is Zoological Gardens, and it pictures the Otter House. This is a scene taken from the book"Henry and Emma's Visit to the Zoological Gardens, In the Regent's Park" The 8" plate is in wonderful condition. With no chips or cracks. It has very light use marks on the surface. There is wear to the edge of the plate, which rubbed off the glaze and caused darkening to the back side of the plate aound the edge. These were only used for wall decoration, along with platter shown in main pic) Size is approx 10" Was salvaged from a set that had staples and repairs on every one. These 2 were in the most presentable condition. While at one time used for meals. As there are utensil scuffs on the surface, for the last 25 years, hung on a wall. Not perfect. But beautiful, dainty, very cheerful and colorful. Has hairline cracks all around the inside middle. Someone has attempted to glue/stabilize these(prior to present owners purchase of these) Date produced was: Oct 23. 1847 VANDYKE may be the manufacturer or the name of the pattern. Pics show hairline crack in front/back. has 2 little flea bites on front(pic#6) ... morehas a ruffle or flaw in the transfer print(pic#7) Chip on outer edge(pic#4)doesn't really show up from front.see pic#2.lower right corner of plate between brass hook on the right side and large orange flower. STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE MULBERRY ELSMORE FORSTER "VAQUERO" PLATES 1853-1871
Set of eight gorgeous mulberry plates by Elsmore Forster. Made between 1853-1871. Pattern name is"Vaquero" Center scene depicts a mounted Vaquero who has lassoed another horse. Color is a deep purple transfer with a tan luster to the border. Horses and the rider. Size is about 8 7/8" diameter. Condition of all plates is excellent with no chips. Cracks or repairs although one plate may have a slight bit of glaze loss to the rim. Reverse side is impressed with the Elsmore Forster manufacturer's mark. Antique Ironstone Purple Mulberry Transferware Soup Plate Challinor Corinthia
This auction is for a Lovely Antique Ironstone Purple or Mulberry Transferware Soup Plate made by Edward Challinor in mid-1800s. It is in the company's Striking Corinthia Pattern. Which depicts a classic Romantic Era Scene with People and Dogs in a garden with castles in the background and a scroll and floral rim with vignettes of castles. Some might consider this a soup bowl; others a deep plate. I prefer soup plate. It is very thick and heavy ironstone and measures 10 3/4 inches across. It is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age, which dates from between 1842 and 1867. There are no chips or cracks or damage. There is some toning on the front and back and fine. Even crazing, which only adds to the character and authenticity of the soup plate, and several glaze slips on the back. The piece is has a purple Carinthia E. Ebay Listing Page Antique Historical Staffordshire Battery New York Mulberry Transferware Plate I tem Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique historical mulberry transferware plate manufactured in England during the early 1800s by Job& John Jackson. The plate features Battery C in New York which was one of the artillery units used by the north during the Civil War. The border displays a flower pattern. And the edge is scalloped. The back is marked with the pattern name and manufacturer's name, and overall the plate measures approximately 7 7/8" in diameter. Item Condition: The overall condition of the plate is very good. It is extremely clean with no chips or repairs. But it does have a crack on the side of the top inner rim of the well. The white earthenware is still very bright and clean with no stains and the mulberry ... morecolor of the plate is extremely deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with minimal crazing and the edge displays minor glaze loss or rubbing. There are minimal utensil marks on the surface of the plate as well.
