Golden yellows, browns and greens. It features scalloped edges and mottled handles with clam shells at the base of the handles. It’s accented with leafy borders, mythical figures, griffins& a cherub medallion in the center of the bowl. Maker’s Mark: It bears the overlapping letters of the trade mark GIEN. This mark was used from 1875 to 1935. Measurements: The bowl measures 13” from handle to handle and it’s 3”high. Just feels rough& is white/black) overall crazing, a"line" on the underside(which looks like a very faint yellow scratch under the glaze) some pops, I see no issues. Green mark(feels like underglaze) dates this to 1920-1930. Colors are beautiful- my favorite color PURPLE- a beautiful deep shade- plus white. Gold, lavender& greens. In the Art Nouveau style with a border of olive green& light blue Artichoke leaves, five asparagus spears lie across the center of the plates, a shell shaped sauce well in pale pink, on a cream colored ground. Heavy bodied pottery. Marked Depose KG Luneville for Keller Guerin Luneville. France. One plate shows the sauce well glazed in a deeper pink& there is a painted nip to a high point, as shown. This is a wonderful set of four antique majolica french cups and saucers from Saint Clement or Luneville. France. Circa 1800-1885? In the 18th century, the pieces were not marked. The manufacturer did not file any particulaire marks with the courts except one in 1885. From 1830 we see marks mostly painted by hand.St. Clement could be painted fully or abrieviated and sometime with numbers" The decor"au coq" or rooster was one of the traditional decorations of the St. Clement factory. These are all painted by hand. And some items are marked France and some are not marked at all. I think these were made between 1800- 1880. It was made by the French faience factory of Les Islettes. The Les Isletttes pottery was founded in 1735 at Bois d'Epense near Luneville in France and continued in production until 1848. This lovely antique plate features a central bouquet of tulips and flowers. The center well is for your asparagus while the two side wells are for you sauce and jambone de parme(parma ham) YUMMM! Very beautiful. This plate measures almost 10 inches in diameter. Condition is excellent for its age with no chips or cracks! It has a small pin hole mark in the clay from manufacturing. France between 1892-1922, It features six wells for oysters and a center well for lemon or vinegrette. It has raised molded seaweed around each well.
