CONDITION: This cake place is in very good condition and would be excellent except I found a few very light knife marks on the top surface. I have taken a close up of them. They are on the pink roses in the center and one right below the flower basket. These are very small and not very noticeable but I wanted to mention them. I also found 2 places on the outer rim that have small chips. I have also taken a close up of these for you to see that they are small and not bad at all. The two“spots” on the the back of the plate are from being fired so they are original and not chips. There are no other chips. Cracks, nicks, crazing or repairs. This is clean and ready to use. Display or give as a gift. MEASUREMENTS: Diameter of top: 11 ¾” Height: 2& 1/8” Diameter of“foot” or base: 6 ½” I'm sorry about the glare and reflections in the photos. Lovely cabinet plate features what we view as a Renaissance-style figures of a man and a woman following a cherub. Lovely cobalt blue and gold tone. And floral cameo decorations. Measures 9-3/8" diameter x 1-1/8" tall. Marked on bottom with a beehive or shield mark, and several script numbers. 12. and"1700. While this looks to be the mark of a Royal Vienna piece, we are not experts and can't say for sure. This piece has several significant flaws. There's a 2-1/2" tight and light. But visible hairline crack on back side starting at outer rim and extending into the plate, and lightly visible on top side when looking closely. There are three 1/8" shallow chips in three separate spots on top outer rim, and one of the small raised dots on the gold tone decoration on the inside middle at bottom of the plate has ... morechipped off. Beautiful gamebird plate with heavy gilding.I think its some kind of grouse.The border is a solid gilded stripe thats decorated.There is also a raised dot gilded border around the birds.Its 10.5 inches across.There are no flaws.No chips,cracks,or scratches.The blue is great like cobalt blue.
