Beautiful 18th century French Charger. Measures approx 15” wide. This is from 1700’s so has lots of age wear………it’s gorgeous! These 18th century Faience ... morepieces when made have lots of glaze chips/skips bubbles/marks etc. to glaze and are meant to look this way. It has no cracks and no crazing and rings wonderfully when tapped which means it’s structurally very sound. There is one larger glaze chip to edge and I show in a picture. This piece also has some deep scratches and look closely at pictures for details. What a beautiful piece of history and these larger pieces are very hard to come by. Thanks for looking

*RARE* 18thc. QUIMPER like Delft Faience Peasant Polychrome Charger Signed!!* #1
WE ARE OFFERING A BEAUTIFUL POLYCHROME DELFTWARE SIGNED CHARGER I have two of these beautiful chargers and this is#1. Peasant Woman in Garden with Scenary and Foliage. Beautiful 18th century Dutch Delft QUIMPER like pottery polychrome hand-spun plate with splendid decorations that were handpainted. It depicts highly sought after peasant and grass motif. It is paneled and has a scalloped edge. Very early and signed. This fine charger is in beautiful condition. This nice charger has a diameter of about 10 1/2“ An absolute must for collectors of antique Dutch Delft ware. You can see the glaze"pops" and the over all period look of an authentic period piece! This is thought to be Quimper pottery. Quimper has a long history. Tin-glazed. Hand-painted pottery has been made in Quimper, France, since the late seventeenth century. Pottery ... morewas made in Quipmer when the city was part of the Roman Empire, long before tin-glazed pottery was being made. The tin glaze w ill only adhere to a porous body. So delftware was made from a mixture of two clays. One was a local red clay, the other was an estuary clay containing a high proportion of chalk. They were referred to as fat and lean clays respectively. London obtained their lean clay from East Anglia or Kent, the other factories from Carrickfergus in Ireland. Early English delftware tended to be similar to Dutch. During the latter part of the 17th century a different style evolved. Often referred as English majolica. Notable examples of this are the royal portrait chargers. Chinese designs were copied, but by the end of the 17th century the copies were often far removed from the originals. Much surviving delftware has'chinoserie' decoration. Dutch pieces have an additional clear glaze(a kwaart) on top of the decoration. Resulting in a glassy appearance. This can occur with English pieces, but is rare. Pin-holes are very common in the glaze. On the back of plates and dishes, particularly those made before 1750. Some plates and dishes have markings under the rim.

Rare Bohemian Austria Majolica Faience Charger Plate Plaque Reticulated Luster
After selling on Ebay for more than 15 years from the beautiful state of Florida. I find a move is necessary due to job relocation. Too much inventory to transfer safely, so I am placing many beautiful items up for auction and reducing prices on many"Buy it Now" listings; hoping to offer incredible savings to all and reduce inventory. I will continue to sell wonderful antique glass and objects of art on Ebay, but from a new base location. If you have had your eye on something in the past, but cost was out of your comfort zone, please make an offer. My goal is to reduce as much inventory as possible before my final move. Rare Czech/ Bohemia/ Austria- Majolica Faience Earthenware Luster Portrait Charger with Reticulated Open Work Border. This is a stunningly gorgeous earthenware faience charger. No makers mark. c. 1880 and 1890. The charger has a high fired enameled glaze with a gorgeous luster finish. Amazing gold gilded highlights make the charger glow with life. The border edges are reticulated open floral work. The charger/ plaque is 14 7/8" diameter. The background behind the rider is a stunning cobalt blue. It looks nearly black in the photos. As it appears a bit dark. The charger is in wonderful condition for the age. There is really no age crazing to the glaze. The charger has no issues other than a few minor surface scratches on the cobalt only noticeable if the light hits just right. I can't stress how wonderful this piece is in person. Photos are nice but even better when seen for yourself. Reduced from $995.00 I have a matching charger of Female rider listed as well. Please take a look as they make a stunning pair. I have had many opinions on who produced the chargers; an ebay buyer stating they had one just like it with Czechoslovakian maker mark; J. Steidl. Another stating they had the male version

Antique Majolica Faience Charger w Horse & Armed Rider Italian
A decorated heavy charger with a painting of an armed rider on horseback in a very yellow landscape The back is cream colored with cobalt lines and a hanging mount It measures 29 cm or 11.5 inches in diameter and is about 5 cm or 2 inches tall I think that it is Italian but since it is not marked I cannot be certain. The rider wears an odd costume of mixed plaids with both vest and breeches, he wears a feathered hat and is carrying both a sword and a gun. Very well done and in good antique condition- showing a little of the usual fritting to the glaze on the edge here and there. International Postage by Priority or Express Mail only
ANTIQUE CHARGER CRIEL ET MONTEREAU PORCELAIN HAND PAINTED FAIENCE FIGURAL ORMOLU
I will ship anywhere! A great find.a mid 19th century scenic Criel et Montereau French charger which was framed in a fruitwood. Ebonized wood and inlaid mother of pearl immense round frame with a gorgeous detailed ormolu gallery and ormolu trim around the outside edge of the frame. Diameter of the charger(which is showing) is 13 1/4" and there most certainly is at least another 1/2" under or"in" the frame. The entire diameter is 18 3/4" and the height or the thickness is 2 1/4" Best guess is that this platter is hand signed by the artist more towards the rim which is enclosed in the frame. Creil et Montereau(france) was a faience factory founded in 1796 by Saint- Crieq- Cazaux which also attempted to produce porcelain. After several bankruptcies. Production increased in the early nineteenth century possibly thanks ... moreto the arrival of Baignal to the company. In 1840, Saint- Crieq- Cazaux dies, the Criel(Oise) factory merged with the one of Montereau(Seine et Marne) The company became"Creil and Montereau Faienceries" under the name(Leboeuf) Lebeuf Milliet et Cie(L& M Cie) until 1876. Fine stoneware was produced circa 1840 and up until 1863, soft paste porcelain after the English manner was produced but only by Leboeuf and Milliet. This large hand painted charger has the under glaze impressed and printed green L& M Cie mark which would date the platter from 1876 to 1920. Not sure when it was framed in this fabulous framed gallery. However, it speaks to the importance of the charger. The production of the two earthenware factories remained similar until 1895, the year the factory in Creil closed after a fire. Production with the mark Creil et Montereau was used until 1920. I will ship anywhere! If the shipping calculator gives what seems to be high shipping. Please email your zip and city and I will manually calculate. NOTE*I love to sell Internationally so please don't let Ebay discourage this. I am not signed up in their Global Shipping program as it adds more costs
