Here is a beautiful Antique Majolica Boulanger Choisy Le Roi France Hand-Painted Plate made in France. It depicts a sweet nature scene of a Hen& her Peeps and measures approximately 9" in diameter. The Choisy-le-Roi faience factory of Choisy-le-Roi. France produced majolica from 1860 until 1910. The firm's wares are not always marked, however the most common mark is usually a black ink stamped"Choisy-le-Roi" pictured to the right with the large"B" The"HB" stands for Hippolyte Boulenger a director at the pottery. Antique French Choisy-le-Roi Majolica plate depicting the Forth Bridge. Edinburgh, Scotland This superb majolica plate was made by Hautin& Boulanger in Choisy-le-Roi. A faience factory which was renowned for its majolica produced from 1860 to 1910. It depicts the Forth Bridge in Edinburgh. A wonder of modern engineering when it opened in 1890. The plate comes from a rare series showing iconic British views; I am also listing'Dovedale' a beauty spot in the Peak District of Derbyshire, from the same series. The design is in harvest gold and is signed AD in the corner. The reverse of the plate is cream and is backstamped with the company's majolica trademark. Measurements: Approx 9 inches in diameter. This is a beautiful antique French majolica plate in a peacock pattern. It was produced in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s by the H. Boulenger Faience Co. in Choisy-Le-Roi. France. Background color is mustard yellow or tobacco gold with the peacock and its feathers in brown. The color of the back side of the plate is actually ivory or off-white. The photos make it look more of a bright white than it is. Size: approx. 8.75” diameter Condition: Excellent. There is normal age crazing. SHIPPING FROM FRANCE Early 19s century 12 ceramic plate made by Choisy le Roi with the mark used in between 1824 and 1836 with the mark PH for Valentin Paillart and Hyppolite Hautin- with a black transfert decoration on soft paste porcelain- the plates belong to 3 different series: the months- Medieval/Neogothical- and Napoleon 1 wars Sizes: diameter 21.6cm- height 2cm- weight for 12 pieces 3273gr Condition: all have a worn off decoration and infiltrations- only 1 has a crack December- there are also some scratches left by knives- more or less depending of the plate- mostly for their age and material rather good condition

Two spears criss-cross to separate a deep sauce well. Referenced on p.113 of Maryse Botero’s book, Artichauts et Asperges en Barbotine. Marked with the Choisy-le-Roi back stamp. 9 1/2″ across. This large. 10 1/2" item appears to be a soup bowl or a deep salad plate. I have matching plates that are 1/2" deep but this is 3/4" deep. It is made by H. B. Company near Paris France. It is called Choisy-Le-Roi and the company was started in 1863. I do not know the age of this plate but it has an impressed D1( in the back. It is marked on the back in pale blue and I believe this is the Louis XIII collection. This plate features a blue border with blue leaves. There is a slight oval rise along the rim. It also has three dark brown symbols. In the center of the plate is a bleak, winter landscape with a river and geese with a sign La Mare. Below this is very faint Cheyer and over to the left is A. Carrier( There is no damage and no discoloration. There are some utensil marks. The glaze is intact and shiny. Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovely antique French Majolica plate. Made by the Choisy-le-Roi faience factory. The Choisy-le-Roi factory in France produced majolica from 1860 until 1910. Hippolyte Boulenger was the director at the pottery. This factory made some of the most delicate majolica produced in France. This plate is a great example of the beauty of work created in this factory. It features colorful pansy flowers with green leaves and three green dragonflies at the tip of each flower. It is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. It does have overall glaze crazing which is normal for antique majolica. We do have 2 available. Each has a different back mark so I photoed each one.
