This is a 6" chinoiserie plate made in England about 1820. It has a transfer print of"The Birdseller" which has been enhanced with hand painted colors. It has a pink lustre border and is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or damage. This pattern and plate is from the time when the English were competing with Chinese Export ware. It represents the British version of an Asian pattern.

Done in the making and only really visible when viewed at the right angle in the right light. It appears to have had only very light use. Copper lustre decoration is in excellent condition, not worn. The variation of the lustre decoration from reddish to shiny copper in photos is just a function of lighting. This is a beautiful hand-painted and luster-decorated(pink and copper) soft paste porcelain plate with a central green blossom motif and a garland of blossoms around the edge. Within the garland going around the plate. There are dots of yellow/brown that punctuate the garland just after each of the green blossoms. I’m sure there must be a name for this pattern, but we do not have it. This wonderful old plate measures 7 inches in diameter. It has no chips or cracks on this plate. It measures approximately 10 inches across and is glazed in the most beautiful pink. Violet, peach and gold colors. It is very good condition with no damage that I can detect other than stacking and gilt wear. Please examine the photos carefully to see that this wear does not detract from the beauty of this piece. The back is impressed with"No.709" and with the number 33 painted in brown. There is also a very faint overglaze mark that looks like the letter"H" and"R" or perhaps a"K" in a diamond shape. Pink Lustre Plate with classic farm house transfer!
BRILLIANT! This beautiful dessert size pink lustre/ lusterware plate. Made in England is a spectacular example of the craftsmanship of those days. This finely highly detailed plate depicting the classic iconic luster farm house transfer is unusual as this one has embossed flowers along the beaded rim. Display in a china cabinet. On a side table or use for serving cookies, cheese or dessert for special company. Normal wear due to its old age. It still shines with beauty! It is marked on the back with a pink luster mark.It has one tiny crack and natural nubs in the glaze, which doesn't affect the plate, but I want to be specific. Not sure it's manufacturer or origin. Estimated circa late 1800's- early 1900's as per antique dealer. It measures 7" in diameter. We do not ship overseas. Sorry. Enjoy!

Pink Lustre Style Plate with Roses
This sweet plate measures approximately 8-1/2 in diameter. It only has one flaw that I can see- a tiny chip on the edge(upper right if roses are positioned straight up) Not really noticable. There is some wear to the edges as if it may have been handled over time but does not take away from its appeal and value. It has no markings and I am not really sure how old it is- if I had to guess. I would say it is Victorian. Never the less, it is a pretty plate and could be added to any collection. Plate stand NOT included! Non-Smoking home.

For those unaware. Pink lustre is a marvelous technique of applying pink paint over gold to create a beautiful lustre appearance without being gaudy. It's a very old technique developed in England. This is a particularly beautiful piece"Not Marked" MADE IN ENGLAND, meaning it is a much older piece, from about 1830. The paint is unusually bright and crisp. A lovely piece. I had this plate mounted in my dining room for many years. The edges of the plate show some age related wear, as might be expected. A Staffordshire Pearlware Child's Motto Plate circa 1830 ~ ELIJAH FED BY RAVENS ~ Pink Lustre& Embossed Daisy Border ~ Old Testament Bible Story ~ 6 5/8" across the middle A Staffordshire octagonal child's plate or nursery plate printed in black transfer and enameled in turquoise aqua. Blue, green and yellow. There are two rows of embossed daisies in the border and the edge or rim is molded like rim and painted with pink lustre. A Fine Staffordshire Pearlware 12 Sided Enameled and Lustre Plate circa 1830 ~ Lotus Flower Center with Rows of Embossed Daisies Border ~ 7 1/8" across the middle A Staffordshire 12 sided plate molded around the border with four rows of different sized embossed daisies with the rim edge molded like a twisted rope. The flowers are enameled randomly with red. Yellow and green and some are painted with pink lustre. The edge of the plate is painted brick red. The center is painted with a large lotus type flower or perhaps it is a lily? or rose? in various shades of bright to brick red. With small branches of leaves in pink lustre and green enamel. See the pic shot from the side which shows how much lustre is painted on the plate, and all the lustre is in very good condition with very little wear. In excellent condition; there's so much ... morecolor and design to look at that it takes a while to notice that one green leaf is flaking slightly. The Central Decoration is an Unrecorded Black Transferware Pattern Featuring a Seated Demeter Tending a Ewe whilst Passing a Bundle of Wheat to a Thrashing Boy. A Classic Harvest Scene. Very Rare. Beautiful dappled pink luster plate and chalice. The plate is marked Staffordshire England on the underside. The chalice is in very good condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. The chalice stands approximately 5 1/8" tall x 2 7/8" diameter at the base x 3 1/2" diameter at the top rim. This chalice displays a beautiful deeper pink dappling than the plate. Pinder Bourne & Co. Lustre Plate, Pattern "Bottle Japan", with Old Plate Holder
Lovely Chinoiserie-style plate by Pinder. Bourne& Co, using fine enamels with pearly iridescent lustre on the urn and on the gold border(hard to capture with a camera) The plate is in excellent antique condition, with no chips or cracks, but the often found overall crazing in the glaze. On the back of the plate is the P.B. Co. stamp and impress marks. Pinder, Bourne& Co. manufactured china between 1862 and 1882 in Burslem, at which point they became Doulton and Company. The plates measures 10 3/8" in diameter by 1" deep. The plate includes a wonderful vintage plate holder to hold the plate on the wall. Should you so wish. This Ironstone plate with a copper lustre rim was made by Livesley. Powell& Co. c1851-1865. It has ten sides and has a copper luster band 3/8" wide. There is crazing to both back and front. It stands approximately 3/4 inches high and has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches, the inner recessed area is 7" across. The outer rim stands 1 1/4" high.
