You are bidding on a E Challinor Pelew flow black Mulberry soup plate c.1850. This measures approximately 9.5" across and 2" deep. The print is not razor sharp. But it is still pretty clear. There are two spots with imperfections introduced during the manufacturing process. One is on the outside rim of the plate and one is near the center of the plate. There are no cracks or chips. There is some crazing, but it is very tight so there is very little discoloration. Let me know if you have any questions. For glasses. There is crazing and staining which adds beauty to the piece. This auction is for a Lovely Antique Ironstone Black Mulberry Soup Plate made by Podmore Walker of England in the mid 1800s. It is in the company's Beautiful pattern known as Corean. Which depicts an Asian River Scene with a Large Pagoda, Boat, Trees and an Urn and a Victorian Scroll and Floral boarder. This piece Displays Wonderfully and is a Great Example of mid 19th Century Mulberry Ironstone. Some might consider this a bowl while others view it as a deep plate. I prefer Soup Plate. It is very thick and heavy. It measures nearly 10 inches across and is about 1 5/8 inches tall. It has crazing and a chip on the underside table ring(see last photo) and a tiny hole of missing glaze that is hard to see on the rim(see photo 11) and brownish discoloration rings and lines on the bottom. Antique black and white mulberry/flow/staffordshire/transferware cup
This is an antique Black and White flow. Staffordshire/transterware cup. I am not sure of the pattern name, there are two blue hash marks, or the no. 11 on the bottom of the cup. It is a pretty scene with a couple in the foreground, and a castle off in the background. There is normal crazing to the cup, and one flea bite on the rim, in the 5th picture, and a small nick on the bottom, in the second picture. Neither shows up when the cup in merely sitting, and do not detract from its collectible value. The cup stands 3 1/8" tall, and the rim is 3 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" with the handle. It would be a great addition to a black and white collection.
