Sevres portrait plate artist signed. Portrait of a woman surrounded by a cameo of raised aqua blue beads and a garland drape of roses framed with a green and red wreath and a cobalt border with raised enamel decoration. It measures 9 ½ inches. The back is signed with the crossed L and the artist mark. The condition is as follows; very minor gold leaf wear on a part of the very outside edge of the border. Some of the raised enamel beads are gone. There is a place on the very bottom of plate that shows in the photograph as black but is not damage; I believe that to be where the glaze did not fire. Absolutely no chips. All quite visible in the photos. Please refer to photos for detailed condition also all questions are welcome.

11" Charger Plate This beautiful hand painted porcelain plate is artist signed Ds Boucher The scene features two lovers sharing a romantic feast of berries in the French Countryside. I purchased 12 of these plates as a set from a rather unscrupulous auction house that misrepresented them as Sevres. The under glaze Limoges mark on the back was painted over with a thick gold paint and an over glaze blue Sevres mark was left visible. Please examine picture 4 to see exactly what I mean. I personally believe this was done in an effort to increase the value of the plates. These are still high quality antique pieces showing a high level of artistry and craftsmanship. Sevres 1846 Chateau de StCloud S46 Signed Debrie Portrait Plate – Mm de Lamballe
Here is a beautiful Sevres. Chateau de StCloud, Louis Philippe portrait plate on a scalloped, molded blank. It's marked on the back with the green, oval Sevres mark with S.46. in the center, indicating it was fired in 1846. There are additional Sevres decorator marks on the back, indicating that the plate was decorated in 1846. The plate has a lovely blue outer band along with an extensive gold filigree inside of that. The center of the plate is decorated with a portrait of Madame De Lamballe, better known as Princess Lamballe. She was born Marie-Therese-Louise de Savoie-Carignan in 1749. She was married in 1767 at the age of 18. Her joy was short lived. Her husband died shortly after the marriage and she was one of the victims of the French Revolution, dying in 1792. Up for bids is this Antique Late 19thC Authentic Sevres Porcelain Portrait Plate Of Woman In Mansion. This plate was made during the late 19thC in France by Sevres. This fine Sevres portrait plate depicts a scene of a woman sitting in a highback chair at a dining table with a fringed tablecloth. On the dining table there is a plant in a silver bowl. A statue and a covered compote. The background are two large paintings one of two women and a man kneeling in front of one woman. There are sheep in the background and the other painting on the right is of a castle on the side of a mountain. There is a magenta sofa with gold fringe behind the woman. The center scene is surrounded by a cream color and gold gilt leaves and garland done exquisitely. The artists signature is on the lower right hand side of the hand painted center scene. We can not ... moredecipher the signature but it is dated 1891 and the piece is truly by a master. The plate has the Sevres mark on the back as well as a small gold sticker saying: Gift of Nina C. Mackall. Georgetown University. Nina C Mackall, perhaps the last of the"grande dames" of Saucon Valley in Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania. Home of Bethlehem Steel where her brother was a Vice President and whom she shared a 33 room mansion, traveled abroad and picked up antiques in her travels and brought them home. The Mackalls were not natives of Lehigh Valley, they came from an old Virginia family whose roots went back to the early 18th century. They lived in Georgetown, now a part of Washington, D.C. I think this is an indicator of the actual age and the production process. There are a couple of bumps. Mostly on the back and if you look at it at a side angle it is not perfectly shaped. I think this is a result of the use of a soft porcelain.

A very rare antique. Circa 1880's, French porcelain 10" portrait plate with an exceptionally well done miniature portrait of a beautiful young lady, and signed by the artist, Lesueur. The shoulder of the plate has a remarkable decoration or transparent and opaque Limoges enamels: crimson background with raised gilt traceries, the shaded gilt backed shield shapes with bosses imitating peacock feather eyes. The edge of the well is transfer decorated with gilt designs. The plate has no marks on the reverse, of the faux Sevres type so popular at this time. There is a fine hairline crack vertically through the figure to the glaze(the crack does not appear on the reverse of the plate. Otherwise the plate is without chips or repairs, the enamels and gilting are unworn.

Sevres style plate with transfer partially hand painted portrait of Josephine Bonaparte signed with a name and initial CD on the right. The border is delicate blue with floral swags alternating with symbols of Bonaparte empire inside wreath. This auction features a 19 th Century French Sevres porcelain portrait plate. The porcelain plate is marked on the back with a blue Sevres mark for1846 along with the red“CHATEAU DE ST. CLOUD” mark in red and“S.46” in green. It is also titled“LOUIS XV FRANCE” The scalloped edge plate measures 9 ½ inches in diameter. In the center of the plate is a portrait of King Louis XV of France. That makes it very special and you can read why at the bottom. It is signed on the lower right by the artist“DEBRIE” The edge of the plate is further enhanced by a fancy gold border and thick gold edge. The portrait plate is in very good condition. This is a Handpainted Sevres portrait plate of Marie Antoinette signed by the artist. The detail on the plates is amazing with gold raised dots on fleur de lis. There is some gold loss.
