It ... morewas made by Henry Marc of Paris. The putti are taking birds from the nest at their feet. The open cage sits next to them. The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. You can see what looks like some"separations" in the metal but it is not damage- some pieces were cast separately. Please see the close up pictures for the best description of the cosmetic condition. Sevres has long been considered the most elegant of French porcelain. Having enjoyed a long history of ownership and promotion of its products by French royals. King Louis Philippe(1830-1848) ordered vast quantities of Sevres porcelain for the French palaces and for his personally-owned chateaus. Each piece was marked with the Sevres manufacture date(in this instance, 1846) Louis Philippe's personal monogram and date(again, 1846) and finally the inventory mark from which chateau the piece was manufactured(here, the Chateau de St Cloud, a gorgeous palace on the outskirts of Paris that was a victim of the 1870 Franco-Prussian War) These three plates, measuring 8 3/4" across, are of pristine white porcelain with elegant gold borders decorated by sky-blue ribbons interspersed around the rims. The plate has an old sticker on the back labeling it a portrait of Louis Philippe. Dated 1834. The background of the plate is a bright, vibrant yellow, with exquisite gilt detailing in two shades of gold. The portrait is very well painted, quite detailed and expressive, from Louis' impressive mane to the shine on his armor. The plate is in great overall condition. There are no chips. No cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The underside of the plate is signed for Sevres porcelain. The portrait itself has an etched signature. Which is hard to read but looks like'Faby.
