Beautiful 19th century Staffordshire transferware mulberry 9-1/2" plate in very good condition. No chips. No cracks. No hairlines. No repairs. Threre's typical overall crazing throughout and a few light utensil marks in the center. There's a very slight bit of roughnes in a few tiny areas of the rim. very insignificant. Lovely pattern called"Albion" by S H& Co. The background is creamy white and the transfer color is an eggplant or plum color. I think the plate was made in the late 1800's. Nice and early. This is a beautiful example of ANTIQUE TRANSFERWARE IN FLOW MULBERRY. It is a relish dish. In a nappy shape. The pattern is Asiatic, with temples and a lake. The handle has a great scroll shape to the mold. Unmarked. There is a tiny transfer mark and an incised line. But they are not enough for identification. Condition is excellent. A standing individual in the forefront and several dogs. This scene is in the center of the 9 7/16 inch plate. A thick border of scrolls, flowers, and other decorative designs frames the scene. This plate is in very good antique condition. There are a few glaze imperfections which are displayed in the photos. The imperfections are on the reverse of the plate. It appears that a bubble under the glaze had burst- though the marks are about 1/4 the size of a pencil eraser. We enlarged the photos. This is a wonderful. Near-mint example of antique English Mulberry transferware ironstone. It is in the"Tavoy" pattern. Which was registered by T Walker C. 1850. T Walker potted from 1845-1851. This plate is in a nice dinner size- 9 3/4" It is in remarkable condition. With no chips, no cracks, no rough edges, no knife marks. It is nice and glossy. There are the usual stilt marks on the front and back(from stacking in the kiln) It has very. Very faint fine allover glaze crazing. There are some places on the face where the glaze skipped- they show up as light splotches. But actually have some glaze on them so that they feel glossy. Wonderful deep mulberry color. This is a very rare 9 1/4" soup plate made in England between 1839 and 1864 by Joseph Clementson of Staffordshire. The back stamp reads Opaque Pearl Oriental J. C Warranted Staffordshire. After about 150 years of use it shows some wear: scratches and browning on the back. Edge shows wear to the transfer, and the front has some loss of glaze in the center. Nevertheless, it has no chips or cracks and displays beautifully. Variations of this type of design were used by several mid-19th Century Staffordshire dish makers but the pink mulberry color is rare. Shipping is by USPS. The plate weighs 22 ounces unpacked. Antique black and white mulberry/flow/staffordshire/transferware cup
This is an antique Black and White flow. Staffordshire/transterware cup. I am not sure of the pattern name, there are two blue hash marks, or the no. 11 on the bottom of the cup. It is a pretty scene with a couple in the foreground, and a castle off in the background. There is normal crazing to the cup, and one flea bite on the rim, in the 5th picture, and a small nick on the bottom, in the second picture. Neither shows up when the cup in merely sitting, and do not detract from its collectible value. The cup stands 3 1/8" tall, and the rim is 3 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" with the handle. It would be a great addition to a black and white collection.

Auction is for four(4) original Transferware plates made by E. Challinor& Co. from 1853-1862. In the Panama pattern. I believe the color is called mulberry. Center is a river or canal scene with 3 figures. All in all, plates are in good condition for 160 years old. Three plates are 8.5" across, and the one that is more discolored is thicker and 1/8" smaller. Two has some bubbles from when they were made. One has an eraser size chip on back side.

Antique Washington Vase Mulberry Plate By Podmore Walker 1849-1859
This wonderful antique Mulberry plate is the"Washington Vase" pattern. Composed of a central scene of several large garden urns, foliage and buildings in the background. The border features a repeated urn and buildings image, separated by scrolls, floral and textured design. The plate has a diameter of 7 ¾ inches and from what I have read. It was made between 1849-1859 in England. The front of the plate does have some scratches, however you would have to hold the plate in the light at an angle to see them. I don’t find any of the scratches to be a detraction to overall look of the plate. There are 3 manufactures dimples in the boarder and 7 small manufactures dimples in the center of the plate-none of which I find to be a detraction. On the plate’s edge you will find a few places where the top glaze has lightly been worn away. ... moreThere are no chips, nicks or cracks on the front of the plate or on the edges. The white isn’t a brilliant white, it is more of a grey/purple color complete with crazing which shows off it’s age beautifully. The black has a beautiful blur/soft edge to it, which gives you the same feel as flow blue. This is a beautiful antique plate. Nice antique Staffordshire pottery plates in the multi-motif pattern called"Antiquarian" by Thomas Fell& Co(1817- 1890) It is marked with the pattern name printed on the reverse. The plates date to circa 1840.Though they appear somewhat reddish in the photos(at least on my monitor) they are actually purple in daylight. The plates are 8 inches wide. Which depicts two large eagles perched in a tree with a lake and mountains in the background and a floral and Victorian Scroll design border. The plate measures 9 3/4 inches across is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks. There are not even any scratches or utensil marks, which is highly rare. It has fine, even crazing throughout, which adds to the character and authenticity of the piece. Antique Ironstone Purple Mulberry Transferware Soup Plate Challinor Corinthia
This auction is for a Lovely Antique Ironstone Purple or Mulberry Transferware Soup Plate made by Edward Challinor in mid-1800s. It is in the company's Striking Corinthia Pattern. Which depicts a classic Romantic Era Scene with People and Dogs in a garden with castles in the background and a scroll and floral rim with vignettes of castles. Some might consider this a soup bowl; others a deep plate. I prefer soup plate. It is very thick and heavy ironstone and measures 10 3/4 inches across. It is in Very Good condition. Especially for its age, which dates from between 1842 and 1867. There are no chips or cracks or damage. There is some toning on the front and back and fine. Even crazing, which only adds to the character and authenticity of the soup plate, and several glaze slips on the back. The piece is has a purple Carinthia E. Stunning, purple, mulberry floral transferware pattern on white background with gold trim on rim and handles. The rims are all fluted and scalloped. Here is a lovely antique stoneware 8.75" plate in mulberry or purple. It is titled Washington Vase and was made by Podmore Walker& Co. in Staffordshire. England. Podmore Walker was part of the Wedgwood Group at the time. There plate is in very good condition for its' age. There is one small repair, see pictures. There are no other chips or cracks. Ebay Listing Page Antique Historical Staffordshire Battery New York Mulberry Transferware Plate I tem Description: Up for auction is a stunning antique historical mulberry transferware plate manufactured in England during the early 1800s by Job& John Jackson. The plate features Battery C in New York which was one of the artillery units used by the north during the Civil War. The border displays a flower pattern. And the edge is scalloped. The back is marked with the pattern name and manufacturer's name, and overall the plate measures approximately 7 7/8" in diameter. Item Condition: The overall condition of the plate is very good. It is extremely clean with no chips or repairs. But it does have a crack on the side of the top inner rim of the well. The white earthenware is still very bright and clean with no stains and the mulberry ... morecolor of the plate is extremely deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with minimal crazing and the edge displays minor glaze loss or rubbing. There are minimal utensil marks on the surface of the plate as well.
