I can't identify the backstamp but it does feature a beehive, often found on Royal Vienna. It is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, flakes or crazing. ALSO: Incised marks: 3; TK and 9 The piece is featuring exquisite pink roses on a branch with leaves all painted by hand; fancy scalloped edge tipped dark blue/green. The piece is marked in the back with VIENNA AUSTRIA ROYAL CROWN& SHIELDS MARK. According to Collectorscircle.com. And other collector's reference cites, this mark was in use from 1898 to 1913. The mark tells us that the piece was manufactured at Count Thun's factory in Klasterec, Austria(which closed in 1913) and was imported to the United States by the major American importer P.H. This Bavarian Royal Vienna cabinet plate is decorated with bright red roses on a vine against dark violet and light green back ground. There is a signature on the right side. Fouret) The plate measures 12 1/2 inches and is quite breathtaking. There are no cracks or repairs to the plate. In beautiful condition. A 9.5" cabinet plate by Royal Vienna. A heart-warming scene of a working mother taking a break to speak with her children, a son and a daughter coddling the baby. The details on their clothing are marvelous and in the background you can see home and a little further back a boat sailing down the waterway. And to frame the art work is a dark forest green border heavily gilded.
