LOT X2) ANTIQUE NICE! Jaeger& Co Louise Plate 8-1/2" Fruit Motif Bavaria 1898-1923 HTF This is a LOT of TWO(2) gorgeous porcelain plates by Jaeger& Co from Bavaria Germany. The plates measure 8-1/2" across. The pattern is Louise. The plate with the cherries is signed on the front. Both plates have gold remaining- a copious amount where the ruffled edge turns in from the rim to the front. Neither plate shows any sign of usage or wear other than the loss of gilding. I examined the plates carefully. I find no chips. No cracks, no crazing, no utensil marks, no evidence of repair, no loss of color apart from the gilding. Both plates have been stored in my home since 1952. I don't know where they were prior to 1952. But I assure you that they were never used and never displayed during the last 61+ years. I inherited these and other beautiful items from an elder maiden cousin whose motto was"I saw it. I liked it. I bought it. Queen Louisa of Prussia Portrait Plate A beautiful Queen Louise of Prussia portrait plate. The plate is a deep green color with wonderful gilt filigree accents. The portrait in the center is a transfer reverse image of the original portrait by Carl Gustav Ludwig Richter. The back of the plate carries a gold"Empire China" mark and"949" for the pattern. It's 9 3/4" across and as shown there is an impression from production in the lower left but no chips or cracks. A very popular portrait. It can be seen on many pieces from the late 19th century. Stunningly beautiful antique hand-painted Jaeger& Company 7" plate. It bears the J&C Louise Bavaria mark which dates between 1898-1923. Plate has been gently used and greatly maintained. It is predominantly white with a blueish hue mixed in giving it a cloudlike appearance. It is bordered with various size lovely blue and white flowers. Slightly textured due to the handpainting. Antique Jaeger & Co.(J&C) PLATE W/Gold Plaster Frame Bavaria "Louise" Series
Here is an antique plate made by Jaeger& Co. J&C) in the Louise series. The company produced porcelain pieces between 1898 and 1923. This one is of pears and leaves in oranges. Yellows and greens in a very ornate gold plaster frame made to display dishes. The plate measures 6" in diameter and the frame is 10" square equipped with wire for hanging. The plate is hand painted and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scrapes. Really no wear at all because it has not been used in years. This is one of three such plates with frames I am listing today. All three plates are different and made by entirely different companies. If this one looks good to you please take a minute to look at the others. I am open to discussion of the prices if you are interested in more than one.
