8 ANTIQUE HALL PORCELAIN china OYSTER PLATES SET-size10 1/2" -WHITE-NYC PICKUP
SORRY-NYC PICKUP ONLY! Set of eight antique china(porcelain) oyster plates from the Hall company. Founded in 1903. The color is a warm white. And they measure 10 1/2" across. The plates are substantial. Have a nice weight, and are not fragile. They have a slightly scalloped rim and a swirling pattern effect. Deep wells hold six oysters and a deep center star-shaped well is for sauce or lemon. Six of the plates are perfect. They have very small discoloration spots from age. Set in the glaze, which are only visible upon very careful examination(see picture#9) Two of the plates are flawed: one has a crack that is only cosmetic. Not structural and does not go through(the plate is sound) The other has a small chip that has been professionally repaired, and is hardly visible. These two flawed plates are in the last two photos. For your consideration is a set of old French majolica oyster plates. They measure approximately 9 1/2 inches in diameter. The color is mostly deep green with touches of blue. White and brown. The back reads Longchamp, Terre De Fer, 1006. Both pieces have crazing due to age. They also have a few chips on the bottom and front. These could be filled in with paint if you wish to display them. Know that they are NOT PERFECT. They would be a charming set to hang in a Country French kitchen. Please look at photos to see their condition. Antique oyster plate manufactured by the prestigious Haviland& Co. Of Limoges France, circa 1893-1930 This porcelain oyster plate was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges in the 1890s. It has a diameter of 7 1/2 inches. It has 5 wells. The plate is decorated with a factory transfer design. There are garlands of little ribbons and roses and elegant gilding. The rim is trimmed with gold. It is a highly decorative plate with wonderful detail. 10 individual plates.

Trio of Antique 6 Well Oyster Plates ~ Blue ~ Tan ~ Grey
Offered is a trio of antique oyster plates. All three plates are of the same blank and pattern. But are finished with different colors. Each plate measures 8" in diameter, has six outer wells along with a smaller center well. One plate is done in blue, another with tan/beige and the last with grey. All three plates are accented with brown paint along the outer wells and gold along the outer rim of the plate and the outer rim of the center well. Unknown maker, there are no maker's or importer's markings on the back of the plates. All three plates are in great shape. No chips, cracks or repairs. All three show very little wear, if any. The only noticeable point to make is that the grey plate has a small dark brown dot(as shown in the pics) that appears to be under the glaze. As with all of the oyster plates that I sell. Late 19th Century Antique French Sarreguemines Majolica Oyster Plates 9.5"
The colors are salmon and Ivory. Made by the Sarreguemines majolica factory in the late 1800's to early 1900's. It is well marked on the back#2209 and a letter H? It features six shells for oysters and a center well for a slice of lemon or vinegrette. It measures 9.5 inches in diameter. If you purchase multiple plates I will combine shipping and let you know what the total charges will be in the invoice. They are in very good condition with only a few 1/16" or less glaze chips. It does have overall glaze crazing as you can see in the photos which is normal for antique majolica. Please ask questions. Please see all photos as they are part of the description. Here are 6 antique porcelain oyster plates. Made in Germany. Each lovely plate has 5 wells for oysters highlighted in purple luster. With a gold edged sauce well and gold scalloped edge. According to the website Porcelain Marks& More, the Registrirt mark, meaning registered, was an early form of copyright notice used between 1840- 1875, the German spelling of the word was later changed to Registriert. Condition: All are in very good shiny condition showing very light signs of use with no chips and minimal gold loss. One(1) plate has a star crack in the center well. Clearly shown in the last picture. Measurements: 8 1/4" diameter x 1 1/4" high Weight: 4 lbs 12 oz prior to packing for shipping.
