Porcelain Charger / Coronet Limoges / Two Wild Boars Frolicking in the Snow
This antique porcelain charger was produced in France between 1908 and 1914 by the P.M. de Maveleix porcelain factory and was hand-painted by the Limoges artist Pradet who was known for animal illustrations. This particular charger depicts two wild boars flolicking in the snow. Coronet Limoges porcelain was brought to the United States by George Borgfeldt who was a New York based porcelain importer with a decorating studio in Paris. The"Pradet" name appears directly under one of the wild boars. This charger is fully marked on its underside with the green P.M. de Maveleix factory logo and the green Coronet Limoges logo that reads"Limoges/Coronet/France" and a crown. The gilt rim is scolloped. Very minor wear to gilt edging. No chips. Cracks, breaks, or crazing. Factory pierced on the underside to accommodate a wall hanger. ... more10" in diameter.

Such vibrant colors on this blooming rose scene! Artist signed by A. Broussillon(or Alfred Bronssillon) A famous Limoges artist especially known for his lovely roses. His yellow rose scene is done on a large, rather deep charger with a scalloped rim. Because of the depth of the plate, the roses are set back within it and the thick gold rim serves as a frame. It is even more beautiful in person! Backstamp: has the Coronet George Borgfeldt Limoges France(early 1900's) backstamp which is the decorators mark and the Mavaleix Factory mark(1908-1914) which is the porcelain whiteware mark. Beautiful Limoges Punch Bowl Set with Grapes. The set consists of a large bowl measuring 14 inches in diameter. The tray is 18 inches in diameter and the bowl sitting on the stand measures 9.5 inches tall. They are all in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There are 5 cups, 4 in good condition one with a broken handle. The gold looks good on all the pieces with minimal wear and normal age signs. The bowl, charger and cups are marked T&V, the stand is marked JPL France. The grapes are multi colored with dark green around the base of the bowl and green on the stand. A fantastic, original set. This is a beautiful plate bearing two marks: the white ware mark of Borgfeldt. CORONET LIMOGES FRANCE, ca. 1906-1920. And the decorating mark of Mavaleix. P.M. DE M. LIMOGES FRANCE, ca. 1908-1914. The plate is signed by the well known Limoges artist L. Coudert. It depicts a blond cavalier holding a pipe with a white plume of smoke escaping from his mouth. The plate has an impressive size. Being 10 1/2" in diameter. The condition is excellent with no chips. Cracks nor repairs. No visible scratches. Only some light wear to the gold on the very edge of the piece. It is customary with this type of plate to have four holes on the back for hanging on the wall. The hangers are still in place. I remember this plate on my grandmother's wall when I was growing up. Then it was handed down to my father and then to me. It is overall a beautiful hand painted plate. Flambeau LDB Limoges Plate Charger Signed Levy $29.00 This is a beautiful charger hand painted and signed by the factory artist. Levy. There is a grouping of 3 pears done in warm shades of peach and apricot. The branch and stems have hints of burgundy in them. The leaves are mottled greens ranging from palest mint to an olive. The background is peach on one side a grayish umber wash on the other. It picks up just a hint of purple by the artist's signature as it goes across the bottom fading into the green. The edges are gilded and for being 100 years old in excellent shape. I can find no chips or crack or crazing. If you run your finger over the surface you can feel the brush strokes. I have tried to capture the colors and the brush strokes in the photos but they do not do them justice. There appears to be a matching charger to this one. ... moreI found it on Ruby Lane. It has the same lovely colors, identical shape, and a grouping of 3 peaches. This plate has 2 holes on the back for hanging(much better for the china than those metal and spring plate hangers) It measures 10" in diameter both ways so although the edges are scalloped, it is basically a round plate. In my research I found quite a few of the peach chargers but none of the pears. According to Mary Gaston's"Collectors Encyclopedia of Limoge Porcelain" 3rd edition) The quality of the painting by Flambeau was quite high and many of the Limoge artists signatures such as Rene, DuBois, Luc, Levy or Andre can be found on their wares. The company was only in operation from about 1895 until 1914(World War I) LDB& Co. was a New York importing firm with ties to both Limoge, France and Bavaria. Flambeau was a manufacturer of porcelain whiteware and a decorating workshop. Email me with any questions and be sure to look closely at the pictures. Tresseman & Vogt, Limoges, France large charger/plate 14 1/2" floral design
Up for your consideration is this captivating very large cabinet charger/plate by Tresseman& Vogt. Limoges, France is a delight to the eye! Measuring 14 1/2" x 13" in diameter, the rim is decorated with acanthus style gold that sets off the green inner band which is beautifully decorated with pink and green scalloped inter trim-centered with pink flowers-I believe they are a wild flower-and green leaves. It has handles on both sides. The porcelain has a matte finish, so the decoration really shines and stands out against the background. The plate is in lovely antique condition with no chips or cracks, very slight wear to the gilding on the outer edge and little use wear. The plate is marked on the reverse with the red TV France bell as well as the green T&V France mark, which dates this plate from 1892- 1907.

Hello and thank you for looking at this beautiful piece! I am selling things to help fund my only sons' college costs so your purchase is going toward a great cause and much appreciated! This plate was purchased from an old estate and was part of an elaborate collection. In my opinion the pictures don't begin to capture its beauty! Plate is at least a century old and appears to have been well cared for. Upon bringing this piece home I researched the makers mark on back of plate. It is in green and appears to say"France" under that"BM de M" in a scrolling type lettering. Then under that is also printed in green"Limoges" I tried to capture this in the several pics of that I provided. Upon research I found that the"B" in BM de M is actually a"P" with a fancy loop. This mark was used by ... moreP.M. Mavaleix co. of Limoges, France from 1908-1914! I would never have guessed that until I researched. I am NO expert so please feel free to research all you want before bidding or buying. Company was known for exquisite hand painted china pieces in Limoges. Hand painted with four bright roses along with leaves and some stemming. Plate is round and when I measure it measures just under 9 inches in diameter, maybe 8 3/4 inches. Name on back of plate is faded but legible and is"D. Carey" which I also pictured best I could for you. I myself could not find any information on a"D. Carey" when I briefly researched name. I could not find plate either exactly like it but I imagine they are becoming harder to find and may be one of a kind. Again, I am no expert, but I try to research some so I can describe what I find. These plates were often called"charger plates" and were popular in the era. Charger plates were a type of service plate used to"dress up/ decorate" a fine dining table. They were not used to eat off of. Also displayed in cabinets in the homes of the more"elite" of the time period. Truly a beautiful find to have survived

CONDITION There are No Scratches. No Chips, No Cracks and No Crazing. There is wear to the gold trim on the rim and light wear to the paint near the rim. The colors are vibrant.
