Austrian Vintage No. Porcelain Plate from Famous Dulin &Martin Store in Wash DC
Estate Find! You are bidding on a beautiful plate. Dark and light pink flowers(roses I think) measures about 9 3/4" in diameter, trimmed in gold. It is marked on back with Dulin& Martin Co. Washington, D.C. SAXE Austria and is numbered with 2724 and 838. This company handles the delivery of most of the china to the White House according to my research and has been around quite awhile and is on the tour book for Wash, D.C. Some of the gold around the edges is worn some, but no chips, cracks or breaks. One of the roses looks like a little speck of the paint is gone. I only ship to the USA and only accept returns if the item is not as described. I will discount shipping on multiple items won whenever possible, so please check out my other items.

It is signed on the front by the artist. M. Taylor, and marked on the bottom with the MZ Austria mark and an impressed number 933. MZ Austria is the wording on a mark used by Moritz Zdekauer on porcelains made at his works in Altrolau, Austria, from 1884 to 1909. It is unmarked and predates 1890 when the McKinley Tariff Act required goods to be marked with the county of origin for export. This scalloped plate with embossed rim features a transfer pink rose design in the center and around the rim with blue swirls against a white background with 22k gold accents. The four embossed four petal flowers with gilt add an extra touch to its beauty. The rose design appears to be a decal rather than being hand painted. Austrian Plate with Bluebells
Here is a 7 1/2 inch plate in perfect condition with a lot of gold around the rim. There are 8 indentations and then decorative gold in a scallop design. The plate shows no wear to this gold. In the center is an ivory/pale yellow that changes to a pale green. The flowers have bright green leaves.the flowers themselves are a baby blue with a teal blue over the top. It's quite different and in lovely condition. I pack well and send Priority.

Antique Charger Plate Austrian/German Cast Steel Honoring Royalty-15 lbs-21 Inch
You may be bidding on this antique charger that carries the"Gesetzlich Geschulzt" German Stamp. Protected by Law" and a foundry mark with a crown above the flames and cross hammers that is in all likelihood, Austrian. This unique charger honors the Emperor Franz Josef and his wife Empress Elisabeth, with six busts that decorate the rim of this plate. None of the busts are the same as the other as each one carries a different wardrobe. In all six, the figures wear a crown. In the inner plate/bowl, you see another protruding bust of Medusa surrounded by men in battle. The attention to details in the scenes is impressive. Just look at how nothing was left to chance in this inner section. The outer rim switches to mythological figures, typical of the Victorian style of ornate decoration. I know this was done in some form of electroplating. ... moreI searched high and low to find a plate like this on the internet and couldn't, nor was I able to identify the foundry. The other thing about this charger that is unusual are the attached busts. This again seems to be quite different. It is over 21 inches across, weighs about 5 pounds and is over 2 inches deep. This is an absolutely stunning Austrian charger that measures approximately 12 3/4" wide at the widest part of the scalloped edges. It boasts gorgeous& huge cabbage roses in burgundy. Pink, and pale yellow/ivory. The edges of the roses are traced in paint which really makes them pop! The lovely scalloped edge is laced with two rows of different patterned gold floral trim that is also in excellent condition. The stamp on the back shows that it was made in Habsburg Austria. The hunt scene contains red-jacketed hunters. Horses and hounds in the heat of the chase. The scene is encircled by ornate lighter gold designs and the rim is darker gold with green leaves and red berries. In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is age-related fading of the lighter gold although it's hard to tell where it was intentional from the design versus the result of age. This oyster plate has no chips or cracks. The thin gilding on the edge has a bit of wear. But still remains bright. It measures about 8 1/4" in diameter.
