A knight's helmet with crossed swords, Warwick on a banner, and A17 in red. It has double handles and stands 10 1/2 inches tall and the top opening is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The diameter of the base is 5 3/4 inches from edge to edge. It is very good condition with no chips. Cracks, or repairs. There is heavy crazing throughout this vase which indicates that it is old. The surface has tiny specks of paint loss(see photos) This is a very pretty unique and elegant vase! I will combine shipping costs on multiple items. Thank you very much for looking. Measures approx. 12" tall by 9 1/2" handle tip to handle tip) by 3 3/4" mouth opening width. Hallmarked on bottom in black ink stamp. We believe this to be from the 1920's since it is marked Japan and not Nippon. Nippon was used in hallmarking prior to 1921. This equisite vase is in overall good vintage condition. Very few chiggers flea bites/ chips mostly on pedestal foot(bottom perimeter) from age/ usual wear. A paint smudge on back leaving the area white(done during manufacturing process- flaw) Has a x type hairline on back under the paint smudge area(x hairline measures approx. 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" we flicked the vase with our fingers and we did not hear a thump- meaning the vase is safe and ... moresecure and the hairline did not affect its integrity) Raised gold moriage design accenting on front appears to be in great condition with very little paint loss(see pics) Vine flowers are in the colors of black. LG White Cherub Vase, Porcelain Pink Roses, Gold Accent, Double Handles, 10.5"
Large white vase with cherub faces and wings in the center of the front. Along the top and bottom of the front are several porcelain roses in pink with gold trim and mint green leaves. The only visible flaw I find is one of the roses has a small nick that is not very noticeable. The vase has two tall side handles outlined in gold- the top is scalloped with a gold outline. There is a raised ribbon loop design that connects the front to the back design- all white with roses& rose leaves tied in a bow. The vase weighs almost 3 lbs. Is 10.5" tall and has a 3.5" opening. Antique Porcelain Urn Vase W/Double Handles, Gold Trim, Hallmarked, Oriental!
Estate unknown age very unique porcelain vase. Double handled, wide mouth with gold/vermeil deep trim, in the style of a Grecian urn on base. Front has raised cloisonne-like artwork of an Oriental scene, with two story temple, island off to the left, white birds in flight, palm trees highly detailed, all situated on what appears to be a body of land with dark purple foliage and green"water" evidenced by white"waves" in both foreground and background. The piece is distinctly hallmarked on the inside of its base, but I neither recognize nor can make out the specific designer/manufacturer/artist. Double gold-trimmed handled, gold trim at squared base. Vase has four firing holds in its interior, which is very clean. A few areas on both handles of tiny scrapes. The back side of the vase shows a single body of land, again in ... morea purple'mountain' color, with two palm trees, 2 birds, and white'waves' drawn below the'land' Really a very special piece and conception. One or two areas where the artist'ran' paint over the art, which is all raised and for much of it, outlined in white. The piece has no chips, cracks or crazing. It shows wear on each of the four corners of gold on the base. Some loss of the gold on the outer rim of the mouth. Antique Nippon Vase / Transitional Art Deco Squared Double Handles 9 Inches
Antique Nippon vase in the Transitional/Art Deco styling with double handles and a squared shape was beautifully hand painted with flowers and pale green foliage. It is finished off with raised enamel accents on the top and bottom. It does have a repair on the top. But is structurally sound, and I think if given just a few strokes of closely matching paint over the repair lines, this could be made far less noticeable on display. There are a few lines of crazing on the front as well, but these are hard to notice from any distance. I have not cleaned it and will leave that decision up to the buyer. Please use photos to gauge condition, as these speak better than words. The vase measures 9 inches in height and 5 inches in diameter at its widest.
