SUPERB ART NOUVEAU DESIGN ROYAL DOULTON LAMBETH WARE STONEWARE VASE 1893 Up for auction is this ROYAL DOULTON LAMBETH WARE STONEWARE VASE- SUPERB ART NOUVEAU DESIGN 1893- As the photos show. This is a really lovely example but alas it is not perfect and so is being sold as seen. The neck of the vase has been off and reglued. There is a fleck of glaze missing from the join. On the underside of the lip there is a big chip with a little fleck off the top rim. Measures 10inches high. 2.5inches wide at base and top. It has the full'Doulton' marking to it along with the number 5520 which dates it to 1893. Semi-porcelain china has a feel very much like ironstone. The red poppies are supported by the classic nouveau era tendril shape of each stem. The first four photos are of the four sides. Royal Bonn small round vase; Made in Germany. Artist signed Bauer. Tones of green. Violet, blue, yellow. Delicate painted face. The vase is 5" tall and 4" across at the widest point. The diameter of the base is 2 and 1/8" There is some loss of gilding at the edge of the mouth of vase. Some crazing on surface. But no cracks. The gilding at the base is intact. The vase may need some cleaning. But I have left it alone. Also, there is a very small object inside that I can hear and tried to remove but the mouth of the vase is so narrow I wasn't able to get it. Perseverance will do it, though.

It is in fabulous condition- I would say MINT. I love the stylized blue flowers against a wonderful mottled-dark blue glazed ground. All done in tube-lined glazes with swags and dots connecting the Flowers near the bottom. When I first saw this magnificient piece, I thought it was Moorcroft, as the Doulton Lambeth stoneware in Art Nouveau or Sucessionist style was not known to me at that time. Now, I'm a real fan! It has a hand painted landscape scene that travels all around the vase. The surface of the vase is a soft matte satin. It is then accented with very heavy gold outlined enameled Art Nouveau Iris florals in a deep gloss enamel of burgandy/ bronze. This wonderful pair of antique figural vases was produced by the company of Lazarus Straus& Sons and feature a boy and a girl standing on stairs that wrap around the vases. Excellent form and decoration. The painting is very expertly done. Very intricate work. Although Lazarus Straus& Sons was based in Rudolstadt Germany they also had wares made in Limoges France and Carlsbad Austria so it possible they were produced there. Approx measurements are 10 1/2" tall(and 10 5/8" tall) and 6 1/2 wide at widest part. The boy was is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The girl vase leans a bit to one side as shown. It appears the base was possible chipped at the factory and shaved off to fix it. You can still see some minor chip like areas to the very bottom as shown however they have been painted over as shown. ... moreIf you look at the way the applied blue beads have been painted on base, you can see this all happened in the making. Other than the little lean, you do not really notice the bottom due to the way the vase is made with the large bulbous body. No other cracks, chips or repairs. Art Nouveau Royal Bonn Ceramic Vase
A bold Art Nouveau design with its artfully spiraling and reticulated"vine" all sumptuously gilded. Expertly decorated with a hand-painted bouquet of multicolored asters or daisies. The maker is Poppelsdorf or F.A Mehlem factory. Franz Anton Mehlem was the father of the two founders. Paul and Everard Mehlem. There are several marks: The first being the red Royal Bonn stamp. With"Royal" above and"Bonn" underneath the crest. This mark was used from about 1890- 1920(the other markings indicate it is most certainly at the earlier end of that range) Notice in the photos the rather indistinct initials"F.A.M" in the monogram under the crown these are for the father Franz Anton. The second being the impressed Anton Mehlem circle mark used so that the undecorated'blanks' could be identified. Above the ... morecircle is the impressed number"2" with the letter"i" off to the right. The third being the numbers 1152/2. 4, 3099 written in red- these letters and numbers refer to the pattern, the shape and the decorator. The fourth being the impressed large numbers 6 5 9 This beautiful vase is over a hundred years old and from that period of Royal Bonn's output when artistic creativity was at its finest. The condition is remarkable. With almost zero wear to the gold. At 17" tall(8“ diameter at widest) this is an imposing piece that I'm sure will make quite an impact wherever it is placed. Available for auction Matched Set of Royal Doulton Ceramic Vases Circa 1912-13 Art Nouveau style in deep blue glazed pottery. Showing the Royal Doulton seal used in the 1902-1922 era. The imprinted"n" probably indicates the artist Annie Neal These vases stand 10" tall and are 3 1/2" in diameter at the base. These vases are in near perfect condition-no chips or cracks. Upon very close inspection one may see a couple of very minor flaws in the glaze. Pictures are of the actual item being auctioned. We never use stock photographs. Royal Copenhagen Vase Art Nouveau Signed RV Porcelain Denmark 1900-1940 Blue
This lovely vase comes from Denmark, It is made by Royal Copenhagen and is signed with the traditional 3 wavy lines and RV. It stands 6 inches tall. It has one large flower and a smaller bud on a beautiful blue background. The blue tint is lighter at the bottom and then intensifies as it goes upward. It is reminiscent of the Art Deco era. There are no crazing marks. Chips or cracks on this vase. The bottom has a area that is unglazed around the white rim. There are 2 numbers under the wavy lines. They are 2668 and 2032. From a pet and smoke free home.

Royal Doulton Miniature Art Nouveau Pitcher c. 1903- 1905 Decorated by E Violet Hayward and Minnie Forster Small but perfectly formed in a deep blue glossy glaze with tube lined floral relief decoration. Frilled rim with lustre brown color wash to inner neck. Rim, handle. 3.5 inches tall No chips. Cracks or crazing. Royal Doulton impressed mark to base with decorators initials'hd' for E Violet Hayward and regular and inverted"ff" for Minnie Forster Also numbered 6543 This piece is stunning!
