Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This listing is ... morefor a 19 th century French Sevres porcelain bronze mounted urn. Being sold in as-is condition. The urn measures 21 inches or 53.5 cm high to the top rim. And is 7 ¾ inches or 19.5 cm at its widest. The urn features a large hand painted portrait of a courting couple in an outside garden setting. It is signed on the lower right. But is hard to make out. The back features a lush landscape with a flowing creek and a stone pillar on one side. The side of urn has two bronze handles with floral relief work. The base is stepped with a cobalt blue glaze and applied gold. The condition of the urn is as follows; it is missing its cover. There have repairs to the porcelain stepped base and the neck, the bronze mounts have darkened with age, there is also craquelure to the glaze on the body of the vase. Please note. The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. You can see what looks like some"separations" in the metal but it is not damage- some pieces were cast separately. Please see the close up pictures for the best description of the cosmetic condition. 18C 1753 FRENCH LARGE SEVRES PORCELAIN VASE BRONZE MOUNTED HAND PAINTED NoRES This listing is for a 18th century Sevres porcelain hand painted vase with gilt bronze mounts. The vase dates to the first year of Sevres general production 1753-1754. It measures 18 1/2 or 47 cm high. It measures 11 inches or 28 cm wide at the handles. The base is marked with the Sevres mark with an"A" and an impressed"H" The vase is beautifully decorated and Sevres used a variety of techniques to achieve this decorative beauty. The body and the foot of the vase are connected by a bolt and long stud. The gilt bronze ormolu base is also held to the vase by the same means. The body of the vase itself has both flat and raised porcelain work. The raised work of the two applied gold leaf handles continues into the body of the vase and flanks both ... morehand painted reserves. The reserve on the front shows a sweet scene of two young women conversing in a bucolic setting as a small smiling girl folds laundry. The reserve in the back of the vase is a basket filled with roses hanging from a purple ribbon. This reserve has a hand painted leaf and berry border. The background of the vase and foot are in Sevres Celeste blue and white. The design is cleverly done with white and applied gold dots simulating a field of flowers. The top of the vase is fluted and scalloped and has much applied gold. The condition overall is excellent and the bronze foot is original to the vase. Both ends of the handles show old restoration. This restoration is limited to the very ends of the handles and does not extend to the body of the vase or the rest of the handles. A beautiful example of early Sevres porcelain work. ORNATE SEVRES STYLE URN OR VASE For sale is a wonderful Sevres style urn or vase. It may possibly be Sevres. But I cannot find the makers mark, so am listing it as being in the Sevres style. The stands a foot tall and has a romantic couple painted in the center medallion. The cobalt blue glaze is trimmed with detailed accents, such as gold scrolls and cross hatching, an embossed design on the gold surrounding the center medallion and white raised glaze dots(jewels) I believe it may have had a missing mount along the rim, as the glaze work is less evenly finished on the rim. The ormolu mount on the base has lost most of its gold finish(there's just a hint of gold where the vase attaches and underneath the mount) Perhaps the previous owner may have removed it through a heavy cleaning. We offer here a fabulous Pair of 19th Century Ormolu mounted Sevres vases with their original covers. These vases have beautiful paintings on both the fronts and backs. The backs are pleasant landscape scenes, while the fronts depict interior scenes, one vase with a boy playing an instrument for his mother while she tends to some knitting, and the other vase with a girl helping her mother with a blanket. Quite charming as they are dressed in 18th century attire. The quality of the work is amazing. Maybe even more stunning. Is the raised gold decoration around the paintings, and all over the vases. Scrolls and flowers galore! They still get better. they are mounted ... morewith bronze ormolu mounts, as handles, and then adorning the porcelain base, and a finial top on each original cover. Both vases are artist signed L. Bertren on the front paintings. The bronze patina is still good as it has naturally oxidized from its original gold finish. There are a few traces of some type of cleaner or polish in a few spots on the handles that someone didn't quite clean off all the way. The background color is a lovely sky blue. These vases are mid 19th century and have some serious bulk and weight. The porcelain is thick. And then the bronze is solid, not the type that can be bent by hand. They feel like they are about 8 lbs each! On one vase, there is a bend on the brass fitting that the cover fits over. It does not disturb the fit of the cover, and you can not see it all when the cover is on. This is an outstanding pair of original French Sevres vases with all of the extras! This listing is for a pair of 19th century French bronze mounted Sevres porcelain urns. These covered urns measure 19 inches or 48 cm high. And are 5 inches or 13 cm at their widest. They feature beautifully hand painted reserves on both sides and gilded bronze mounts. The urns are covered and are cobalt blue with heavy applied gold enamel decoration. The main decorations are paintings of well dressed"country folk" on one side of each urn. And wooded lush landscapes with houses on the other side. The reserves have applied gold borders around them. The paintings of the country folk are signed"G. ROCHETTE" Note, often the French aristocratic class dressed as these country folk this fashion was started by Marie-Antoinette at the Petit Trianon Palace. About 6 1/8" tall and 3" in diameter at the widest. This gorgeous piece is complete hand painted on a deep blue ground. Raised gold details. Portrait masterfully executed in an art nouveau period manner. The portrait may be of a mythological figure like Mercury as there are wings on the head. This is an antique ca. late 1890s-early 1900s.
