Description You are bidding on this 11 3/8" high Rudolstadt art porcelain vase/ lamp base made in Thuringia. Germany between the years of 1882-1918. Marked with the blue RW in a crown mark over the glaze and number 2317 impressed under the glaze. Decorated in matte fawn glaze with stylized yellow and red poppies outlined in gold. The body has raised fretwork at the neck base. No chips or damage.This vase was made as a lamp base;the hole in the base was created during time of manufacture(it is fully glazed) and not by an owner afterwards. Bisque Rudolstadt Vase Florals Creamy Satin Two Handles Gold Gilt Highlights
Wow. Is this a beauty! It is a gorgeous twin-handled vase of cream-colored bisque porcelain. It has hand painted flowers, leaves and stems in peach, reddish-peach, pale blues, spring green and yellow, with outlines in browns and gilt. The front features a beautiful free form floral bouquet with a tan emblem at the top and a complete circle of emblems around the base. Front emblems have gold-painted raised accents. On the back side is a smaller. Beautiful floral spray, and the emblems are not gold accented here, just raised. The intricately formed handles are completely over-painted with gold. The rim edge and around the base have gold accents. The bisque background is exquisite, as are the flowers. It's a very special piece. Condition: Very minor gilt loss on handle top and rim. Antique Rudolstadt Bud Vase (free shipping)
This is a Rudolstadt bud vase measuring approximately 6" tall and 3" wide at the base. The mark on the bottom is the initials"RW" in the shield with the crown on top. Including the words Germany and Rudolstadt above and below. This mark was used by Rudolstadt between 1904 and 1924. The front of the vase has handpainted daisies with their stems and leaves. The flowers are yellow, orange and purple with the green stems and leaves in the background. The back of the vase is a small, handpainted outline of daisies, painted in a maroon paint. The vase has gold-painted handles with nice details in the porcelain base and neck. The vase is in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There is some slight flaking on one of the flowers(nothing distracting- take a look in the pic tures) It displays beautifully and is clean& bright. Measuring approximately 6" tall and 3" at its widest. It is marked on the bottom with the RW with the crown over it in a shield and says Rudolstadt underneath and Germany on top. Here is a vintage Royal Rudolstadt vase in very nice shape. I'm not an expert and this is a recent auction find. So my research is from the few sources I can find about RR. Based upon the bottom marking, this is a Royal Rudolstadt piece dating from 1895 to 1924. It could use a cleaning. I believe it to be porcelain. When I received it, I thought the gold paint smears around the bowl were signatures.but then I put on my glasses and realized they were not signatures. Along with the RW Crown symbol marking on the bottom, there is also in gold, the number 46. I'm assuming that is either the pattern or the artisan who painted the vase. I'm calling it a vase, but the lip on the top could be where a lid would fit if it is a pot and not a vase like my unexpert opinion is saying. No chips or cracks. The bottom has the maker's raised crown mark that dates from about 1890 to 1910 and is stamped"1802 28" with an artist's mark. Antique Rudolstadt Vase made in Germany with Handles 8 3/4" tall
Up for sale is a beautiful 2 handle vase with flowers and gold gilt trim made by Rudolstadt of Germany. This vase has a stamp on the bottom that dates it between 1904 thru 1924. It is made of porcelain and has a cream color which is a trademark of theirs. On the bottom along with the stamp the number 7018 which I think may be mold number and the number 56 in ink. It does have some gold loss due to use and age. Check pic.9& 10, but does not have any cracks, chips or any other damage. The measurements are 8 3/4" tall and 5" wide. I will insure this vase for free. When I ship fragile items I build a wooden box then put that inside a box with packing for safe shipment and is insured. Thanks for looking.

A very unique and impressive 19C. Edwardian Period Prussian Rudolstadt Dragon Vase. In a Renaissance Revival Style, with a beautiful hand painted Rose Motif with other Floral and Foliage Design, all of which is hand painted. It also bears amazing incise work throughout and Gold Gilding as Highlights and for shadowing. The Gilding around the Roses and the Foliage attached are all elevated. There's a Dragon on each side with high detail and double tails. I inherited this dynamic piece of Antique Porcelain and have kept it for a long time, just because it is a cut above your normal Rudolstadt piece and is therefore an example of what you might see in a book or museum. This wonderful piece of Antique Rudolstadt is much more than Fine Porcelain, it's an incredible example of the Renaissance Revival Movement during the Edwardian Period, ... morewith all of its fine detail and it would enhance any Edwardian Renaissance Revival collection, Fine Porcelain Collection or any beautiful home. The Vase is not only beautiful but is also in fairly good condition, especially for it's age and being so delicate; there is a small chip in one ear of each Dragon and the top edge at the front of the Vase was once broken and has been partially re-glued; all of which is shown in the photos#8& 12. All of which can be restored by a professional quite easily. This great piece is well marked on it's base, with the Early elevated Rudolstadt mark with gold trim and incised monogram, it's numbered 2869 and is also signed with a W. This amazing Renaissance Revival Dragon Vase measures 11 1/2 inches tall, 4 1/8 inches across at the base and is 5 7/8 inches in diameter at its widest. The photos don't really do it justice, being that I'm not the best photographer. I can only hope that it goes to a good home with other beautiful Fine Porcelain or Renaissance Revival pieces. We are unsure of the exact age of this vase but know it was made between 1895 and 1924. The mark on the bottom has a raised shield with a crown and the initials R W within the shield. This particular mark was used only during that time period. It also has the numbers 1622 and 13 on the bottom. Hand painted, this vase is charming and shows the little boy and girl in period dress. Beautiful antique double handle tall vase. It is ivory colored porcelain with a yellow and white daisy print pattern on the body of the vase. There are raised relief scrolls and flowers on the neck of the vase. The handles are ornate gilded gold handles. It measures approximately 8.5" tall. It was produced Rudolstadt of Germany. We don’t know the exact year of manufacture. But company information and the porcelain mark dates it to having been manufactured sometime between 1887 and 1918. Rudolstadt was a faience factory in the Thuringia region of Germany from 1720 to about 1791. In 1854. Ernst Bohne began working in the area. Antique German 19th Century ~Rudolstadt~ Cobalt & Gold Gilded Lidded Urn Vase
Great piece. Late 1800's. Has markings on the bottom of it. Measures 11" tall and 5" across at its widest. Very good shape for its age with a couple small flaws shown in last two photos. Both lion heads did have rings in their mouths connecting on each side but as you can see they are missing and each side of their mouths were touched up with gold paint. The top gold piece on the lid has a chip off two tips of the leaves and were touched up with gold paint. Beautiful rare piece that still displays great. Thanks for looking at my auction!

The morning glories are painted in blue and pink with gold highlighting and set among green leaves all on a cream background. The handle and rim are finished in gold gild. The vase is in very good previously owned condition with light wear from use and age. There are no cracks. Chips crazing or repairs. There is some minimal loss of gold gilding to the handle and rim. This vase has the blue crown RW Rudolstadt Germany mark. This mark was u sed on porcelain made by the company between 1904 and 1924 or possibly earlier. This wonderful pair of antique figural vases was produced by the company of Lazarus Straus& Sons and feature a boy and a girl standing on stairs that wrap around the vases. Excellent form and decoration. The painting is very expertly done. Very intricate work. Although Lazarus Straus& Sons was based in Rudolstadt Germany they also had wares made in Limoges France and Carlsbad Austria so it possible they were produced there. Approx measurements are 10 1/2" tall(and 10 5/8" tall) and 6 1/2 wide at widest part. The boy was is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The girl vase leans a bit to one side as shown. It appears the base was possible chipped at the factory and shaved off to fix it. You can still see some minor chip like areas to the very bottom as shown however they have been painted over as shown. ... moreIf you look at the way the applied blue beads have been painted on base, you can see this all happened in the making. Other than the little lean, you do not really notice the bottom due to the way the vase is made with the large bulbous body. No other cracks, chips or repairs. This auction is for a very nice Rudolstadt(Germany) vase. The marks on the bottom indicate that it was made between 1904 and 1924. These hand-painted vases are basically one-of-a-kind. The vase has a couple surface scratches and some areas of faded or worn gold paint. The black on the bottom looks like the remains of a pad attached to avoid scratching a wooden surface.
