Up for auction is this BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE WARWICK ELEGANT WOMAN PORTRAIT IOGA TANKARD VASE ~ DOUBLE HANDLES. This vase is marked on the bottom in green IOGA. A knight's helmet with crossed swords, Warwick on a banner, and A17 in red. It has double handles and stands 10 1/2 inches tall and the top opening is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The diameter of the base is 5 3/4 inches from edge to edge. It is very good condition with no chips. Cracks, or repairs. There is heavy crazing throughout this vase which indicates that it is old. The surface has tiny specks of paint loss(see photos) This is a very pretty unique and elegant vase! I will combine shipping costs on multiple items. Thank you very much for looking. The lady is a flirtatious young lady with a large blue bow atop her curly brown hair. The vase is 10.5" tall and in above vintage condition showing little to no age related wear. Rich shades of brown. It is decorated with the portrait of a beautiful woman on the front. I have read that the models for these Warwick portraits were prostitutes who were paid to work as models but I don’t know if this is fact or fiction! The vase is approximately 10 ½ tall and 6” across at its widest point. There are no chips or repairs but there is overall age crazing throughout the vase. IOGA Warwick Portrait Vase 12" Vintage Antique Porcelain Pottery Lady Carreno
Warwick Vase Estate find. Measures 12” tall and weighs 2 pounds. The underside is marked IOGA Warwick and A.33(I think) There is a faint impressed mark on the underside that looks to be Gem in script. The lower right portion of the portrait transfer has an artist signature that I believe to be Carreno. This artist mark is somewhat illegible to me. So I could be wrong. Good vintage condition. There are no chips and no cracks. There is an evident amount of crazing throughout. This crazing is quite prominent to the illustration area. I think the vase displays wonderfully well. I have been admiring it as part of my personal collection for a few months now. However. When you pull the vase down and get it under a bright light, the crazing definitely jumps out and captures your attention. The illustration has several blackish lines that are noticeable ... morebut definitely seem to be part of the transfer. Done in the making. There is one on the right side of her head, going across her hair to the eye. Near this side of her head, there is a faint approximate 5/8” dip in the porcelain that I noticed with a light glare– it’s also clearly maker related. The crazing on the underside is discolored with staining. The underside edge is worn and dulled some(table wear) The bottom edge has a few insignificant blemishes to the surface. The back of the vase has an approximate 1/4” scratch(white showing) There is a small 2mm paint skip of sort. Under the glaze(white dot) There is a 2mm surface flake and a couple additional tiny specks of white. I noticed a 1/4” scuff to the surface, and there is a somewhat faint approximate 5/8” area of scratching on the back as well. There’s some additional minor and light surface wear here and there. Most of the top gold border is worn away. Evident loss to the gold. The top inside edge has an approximate 1.5” area or line of blackening. I studied this area with a magnifying loupe. And I can see that the surface is irritated, kind of blistered, and this blistering or irritation to the surface h

Vase measures approximately 8"W x 8"H. It is made of porcelain that is glazed white on the inside and transitions from yellow to brown on the outside. The piece has pillow shape to the body. The front is decorated with a brown transfer portrait of a lady of the evening. Underneath. It is marked: IOGA, Warwick" and deeply imposed"buba" Possibly the name of the portrait along with some other marks. There are no apparent cracks or chips. It looks like the mouth rim was once trimmed in gold. But this has almost completely worn away. Light general wear from use. Exact age is unknown.
