The urn measures 21 inches or 53.5 cm high to the top rim. And is 7 ¾ inches or 19.5 cm at its widest. The urn features a large hand painted portrait of a courting couple in an outside garden setting. It is signed on the lower right. But is hard to make out. The back features a lush landscape with a flowing creek and a stone pillar on one side. The side of urn has two bronze handles with floral relief work. The base is stepped with a cobalt blue glaze and applied gold. The condition of the urn is as follows; it is missing its cover. There have repairs to the porcelain stepped base and the neck, the bronze mounts have darkened with age, there is also craquelure to the glaze on the body of the vase. Please note. The two Sevres style porcelain panels also feature putti or cherubs with birds. I am not a clock expert so please bear with me. The clock has a pendulum that that is numbered"347" the same as the movement- so I think it's original. The key was made in England so I doubt that is original. I gently wound the clock a little(without the pendulum installed) and it runs. But obviously too fast. It chimes on the hour. I hung the pendulum where I thought it should go and the clock did not run very long. Please email me if you have any specific questions, and I'll do my best to answer them. SIZE: The clock is 12.75 inches tall. And approximately 13.5 inches wide. It weighs 11 pounds 3 ounces. The clock face is just under 3.5 inches diameter. CONDITION: There are some rubs and tarnish to the finish. I haven't tried cleaning the clock. I don't see any repairs or damage. In the photos. You can see what looks like some"separations" in the metal but it is not damage- some pieces were cast separately. Please see the close up pictures for the best description of the cosmetic condition. 18C 1753 FRENCH LARGE SEVRES PORCELAIN VASE BRONZE MOUNTED HAND PAINTED NoRES This listing is for a 18th century Sevres porcelain hand painted vase with gilt bronze mounts. The vase dates to the first year of Sevres general production 1753-1754. It measures 18 1/2 or 47 cm high. It measures 11 inches or 28 cm wide at the handles. The base is marked with the Sevres mark with an"A" and an impressed"H" The vase is beautifully decorated and Sevres used a variety of techniques to achieve this decorative beauty. The body and the foot of the vase are connected by a bolt and long stud. The gilt bronze ormolu base is also held to the vase by the same means. The body of the vase itself has both flat and raised porcelain work. The raised work of the two applied gold leaf handles continues into the body of the vase and flanks both ... morehand painted reserves. The reserve on the front shows a sweet scene of two young women conversing in a bucolic setting as a small smiling girl folds laundry. The reserve in the back of the vase is a basket filled with roses hanging from a purple ribbon. This reserve has a hand painted leaf and berry border. The background of the vase and foot are in Sevres Celeste blue and white. The design is cleverly done with white and applied gold dots simulating a field of flowers. The top of the vase is fluted and scalloped and has much applied gold. The condition overall is excellent and the bronze foot is original to the vase. Both ends of the handles show old restoration. This restoration is limited to the very ends of the handles and does not extend to the body of the vase or the rest of the handles. A beautiful example of early Sevres porcelain work. Mostly French Empire period to Napoleon III porcelains, circa 1800 to 1870. All of them will be listed here on eBay over the next week or so. Each is quite ... morelarge measuring at their bases 9 by 7 inches and are 8 1/2 inches high(23 by 18 by 22 cm) They are unusual in both their design and their colors. Above the shaped bases is 4 picture frame like decorations each containing a different hand painted reserve. The front of each cachepot has a signed painting of Cupid and Phyche. Both are signed by the artist"JACOBE" The other 3 reserves have floral bouquets. The color combination used here is very rich. The main background color is what Sevres called celeste blue. The secondary color is Sevres cobalt blue. Note that the flower reserves have a very unusual deep gray background. Each has the Sevres mark in under glaze blue containing"ff" This mark dates the pair to 1783. The condition of the cachepots is excellent. Ormolu handles on each side and it sits in a footed ormolu base separate from the porcelain Ormolu cup which is bolted in the top of the piece. The lamp is approximately 262 years old and made in France during the period of the best Sevres Cobalt blue Porcelain hand painted urns. Many of these were later made into lamps. This one works well too. The artists signature that is under the picture of the romantic man and maiden, is"De LaMoize" King Louis XV signature stamp is stamped on the bottom. King Louis actually owned the factory at that time. Stunning Pair of French Sevres Faience Art Nouveau Aesthetic Foil Glaze Enamel Vases. This is a gorgeous pair of French faience earthenware vases dating c. 1890-1910 and attributed to P Milet. Sevres France. The vases have an amazing foil underglaze of azure blue and eggplant purple with high gloss glaze finish. A stunning combination. They are then decorated in heavy gold gilt enameled birds in flight going after butterfly with japonism style floral accents decorating the front and flowing around the sides. The back side of each has a lone dragonfly with sprigs of gilt florals. The detail in the birds is wonderful. There are no chips or cracks, no repairs. One tiny fleabite flake of glazed enamel at the foot, seen in photo. There is some normal glaze crazing to the high fired outside glaze. There is minor wear to the gold gilded rims. A large piece, it measures 8.5" tall altogether, the plate measures 11" from handle to handle. France Rue de la Roquette The Factory Les Trois Levrettes. Owned by Vincent Dubois from 1774 to 1787, was near the center of Paris and across the river from the factories of Sevres. These were the first factories producing hard paste porcelain forms supported by the French Royals. These two pieces of work are a matched pair from this period. This pair of squared flower holder forms are very distinctive. The floral decorations are hand painted glaze. The leaf gold on these is applied by a method known as"Honey Gold" This was a process mixing ... moreground gold leaf and honey. And applying it to the porcelain with borax and water gum before firing, bonding it strongly to the porcelain. These distinctive pieces came from an estate that included a great many old pieces from this period through the mid-1800's. All were said to have been acquired by the same family. And passed down. This listing is for a pair of 19th century French bronze mounted Sevres porcelain urns. These covered urns measure 19 inches or 48 cm high. And are 5 inches or 13 cm at their widest. They feature beautifully hand painted reserves on both sides and gilded bronze mounts. The urns are covered and are cobalt blue with heavy applied gold enamel decoration. The main decorations are paintings of well dressed"country folk" on one side of each urn. And wooded lush landscapes with houses on the other side. The reserves have applied gold borders around them. The paintings of the country folk are signed"G. ROCHETTE" Note, often the French aristocratic class dressed as these country folk this fashion was started by Marie-Antoinette at the Petit Trianon Palace. FOR AUCTION* 99 START NO RESERVE* On offer is this lovely antique(early 20th century) old Paris French Porcelain hand painted(by Sevres artist E. Debonneville) lamp in old Paris Blue with gold trim. Bronze base and bronze ormolu figural handles and a french blue guilloche finial. The bronze ormolu handles are in the form of a siren or lady. This lamp has everything you want in a fine old Paris, France porcelain lamp. Arrow socket with GE bakelite paddle knob. Rewired with gold cloth cording. This piece is hand painted on both sides by Sevres artist E. Debonneville and signed on one cartouche. One scene depicts two putti or cherubs perched in an idealized garden with a bird's nest and a bird house. On the other side is also a hand painted garden featuring a sachet atop a book with bows and boughs of greenery and posies. The tones used ... morein these hand painted scenes are done in the finest understated pastel coloring where pale pinks and greens abound. Well marked with E. Debonneville's signature in the bottom right of the putti scene. Bronze gilt ormolu figural handles on both sides. Unlike other Sevres lamps, this is not a converted base but was produced as a lamp. 19C French Sevres Style Old Paris Gilt Bronze Mounted Porcelain Vase No Reserve, This listing is for an antique French. Sevres style, Old Paris porcelain bronze mounted vase. The vase measures 8 ¾ inches or 22.2 cm high. And is 4 inches or 10 cm in diameter at the foot. The vase is hand painted; there is a large oval cartouche at the front of a gentleman walking in a landscape setting and a city rising up behind him. At the back is a scene with sheet music. A trumpet and a drum. Around the front cartouche is a heavy applied gold border. The porcelain is supported by a bas relief bronze foot and has an open work scrolling top rim. The vase is in overall very good condition. There is some minor wear to the heavy applied gold and darkening to the gilt bronze.
