Very nice Zsolnay Pecs Reticulated Vase. Marked Zsolnay Pecs and has the impressed number 2673 indicating production between 1887-1889. It also has the 5 medieval church towers. Measures 4 3/4" high and 4 1/2" across the base. The colors are cream and tan with gold and tan painted beads. There is an inner liner so it can be used as a vase. Condition is great. up for your consideration are these Yellow Form 465 Teapot& Vase(no form# ZSOLNAY PECS Antique Hungary Art Pottery c. 1880 These two pieces are late 1800s. In standard yellow glaze used during this era of production. The form number 465. On the base of the teapot, is an early one, dating the teapot to between 1873 and 1882. The vase does not have a visible form number. There are some cracks. Chips, dirt and age related crazing on both pieces- see photos and review carefully. Both pieces have fluctuations to the tone of the glaze. Some of which is likely due to a residue of dirt on the pieces. I have left method and choice of further cleaning to buyer. Vase measures 9-1/2" tall x 6" wide. There is some cracking on the base. But there are no chips or repairs. The teapot is 13" high and 7-1/2" wide. Ignatius Zsolnay(1826-1880) on the outskirts of Pécs bought a small stoneware manufactory.Equipment with the lukafai small ceramic plant in half, stopping the purchase and delivery of Pécs provided. The plant mainly use items, plates, jugs, water pipes began to manufacture. Zsolnay Ignatius commercial sense could not handle the lack of leadership and approaching bankruptcy gave the facility. In 1865 his brother, Vilmos Zsolnay(1828-1900) took over management of the plant. A very pretty antique pierced bowl or centerpiece. The bowl is signed with the 5 tower mark of Zsolnay. It features a pretty reticulated floral motif on both sides and the ends and is highlighted in gilt gold. Overall dimensions are 11 7/8" x 2 3/4" x 4" The Bowl is in very good overall condition with no chips. Cracks, hairlines or repairs.
