We are selling a ROYAL VIENNA URN SHAPE VASE with DOUBLE HANDLES. The vase has a classic urn shape with double gold handles. Green background on the neck with Greek key design along with gold raised jewelling. Below the neck of the vase is a hand painted seated maiden with cupid behind her holding a bow signed Wagner at the base of her foot. See Photo) On the other side of the vase is a cherub in flight, holding a flowered garland. See Photo) On the bottom of the base is a blue beehive mark, with the word GERMANY written in red underneath it. Above the beehive in black are numbers 25735& the word WAGNER next to it. Up for bids is this Antique Royal Vienna Style Figural Putti Porcelain Console Bowl. The bottom of this piece is signed with a hand painted underglaze blue beehive mark but this piece was not made by Royal Vienna. This piece was made right around the year 1900 by an Austrian or German porcelain factory. The bowl has a boat shape to it with handles. There are two putti's on each side with their arms open and decorated with the most exquisite hand painted flowers and applied flowers in purple. Magenta, blue, yellow, sage green with gold accents. Inside the bowl there are 3 sprays of flowers on one side. There are five feet on the bowl. This piece measures 11" in length, 5" in depth, and stands 7 1/2" in height. This is a nice antique pair of Austrian Royal Vienna porcelain urn form vases with snake handles and are have the Three Graces decoration. Both are in pretty nice shape as he pics show with one having imperfections/ repairs to one lid. Both are signed by the artist on the Three Graces decoration and it appears to be H. Wek. On is marked on the underside Die Der Grazien and the other is faded and I can only make out the first 2 words which appear to be Adonis Unter. Both need a little tightening and besides the one lid being damaged both show very minimal signs of wear and they come exactly as shown. They measure 14 3/4" tall. On the front side ... morethere is a hand painted(not transfer printed) scene of a grist mill. It measures roughly 6 3/8" tall x 3 1/2" wide. It is marked on the underside of the base in green Royal Vienna along with a crown. It also has a blue beehive mark and the impressed number 5436 which is likely the form number. I am not sure if this is by the"official" Royal Vienna factory or one of the numerous other local factories who were misrepresenting their wares. It is an early piece and is nicely done. Other than wear to the gilt embellishing the condition is excellent. There are no chips. Cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. This is an item I purchased in early 1980s in NY. It really is a gorgeous classic Royal Vienna collectible. A 12" tall lidded cobalt blue hand painted Urn on a square bolted base. Made by Royal Vienna of Austria. See all photos for close up details. Age related wear to areas of gilt on top and rim, only one crack, a repair to front of urn made by previous owner. The buyer can work with restoring that area but it is out of my expertise, OR just leave as is. The inside of the vase is white gradating to palest robin-egg blue leading in to the two posies atop. We've not sold one with this decoration. Produced before 1920s from the mark and artist. The porcelain vase features gilt scalloped round foot which supports the elegant form vase. The vase is hand painted with the portrait of a beautiful woman with flowing gowns and anemones decorating her long ... moredark hair. The scene is painted with incredible attention to detail and at the back of the vase is the repeating decoration of the pale blue posy. The handles are elegant and arching with a scrolling openwork floral Art Nouveau motif. The vase is marked on the bottom with the beehive Royal Vienna mark dating the piece to the early 20th century.
