The vase is decorated with alternating florals and cupid scenes. The medallions appear to be transfers with hand painted highlights. The body of the vase is hand painted with enamel and gilded highlights. It is in excellent condition. No chips. Dings or nicks. The lid is marked Austria with beehive as photo shows. You are bidding on a rare and antique squatty squat vase from the late 1800's. It features beautifully hand painted purple flowers with elegant gold accents around the rolled rim. It is signed on the bottom- Vienna. Austria. The mark is that of Peter H. Leonard, a New York importer who purchased items from Count Thun's factory in Klasterec, from 1880 to 1898. This is in excellent condition with only some minor gold paint loss around the rolled rim. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. The vase measures 5 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches in height. AWESOME Vienna Austria Floral Painted Large Vase. It's about 9" tall to top of fancy filigree and approx. 9 3/4" wide from handle to handle and about 5" deep at the largest part of the vase. This beautiful vase is marked Vienna Austria with three more graphics in green. The detail on this vase is super. Gorgeous shades of pink roses with one yellow rose and greenery on one side and 3 pink roses on the other side. The vase has pale green background typical of Victorian era items. The color is just a bit off with the flash; it's a true pale green background. The fancy handles are gold and there is gold around the fancy scalloped top. This beautiful vase has a very small opening. 3/8" and the gilt decorated mouth is 1 1/2" in diameter. Would fit one perfect rose. Vase measures 6 1/4" tall and approximately 7" in diameter. Antique Leonard Vienna Austria 14 3/4" Bisque Vase w/Pink Flowers & Gold Trim
Up for auction is a beautiful Leonard Vienna Austria Vase with pink flowers and gold decoration and trim. The flowers look like asters or chrysanthemums. The vase is a pastel bluish green at the top and bottom with the rest of the vase being white. It has a matte or bisque finish. There is a dull gold finish around the rim and base. It has a brighter gold scroll and net decoration on other parts of the vase. The vase stands 14 3/4" high. Measures 4" across the opening at the top and 4 3/4" across the base. It is in excellent condition as I could find no problems whatsoever. There were no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. For some reason the vase was difficult to photograph and is much prettier than what the photos show. It might have been the matte finish or the pastel colors. Importers- New York City. New York(USA) Information from: Ginni's Collectors Circle& Bohemian Boutique According to Henderson. Four New York importers used the double shield and crown mark, they were PH Leonard, Bawo& Dotter, Charles L Dwenger, and Paul A Straub& Co. It was used on the Vienna China line from Count Thun's factory in Klášterec. The documentation is somewhat confusing. PH Leonard was the first to use the mark, and then Bawo& Dotter after Leonard went broke in 1898, next was Dwenger, and then Straub sometime after 1915. I believe the only thing one can be sure of is that the mark represents a Count Thun factory line of china from the late 1800's to the early 1900's. This particular line was supposed to be similar to the porcelain coming from the former Imperial and Royal Porcelain Factory, ... moreVienna. The vase measures 8 ½ inches or 21.5 cm high. And is 1 ½ inches or 3.8 cm in diameter at the base. The vase features a tall cylindrical shape with two small curved handles at the shoulders. The neck is straight and both the top rim and handles are further enhanced with heavy applied gold highlights. The body of the vase is glazed in a light green color with pink flowers on a trailing green vine.
