Because parian originated in Ireland as"Belleek" This type of porcelain was called"American Belleek" Very Rare. Actually! Willets Belleek. Coxon, Ceramics Art Company. Belleek Willets 1880 14 1/5" Vase BEAUTIFUL!
This beautiful vase is in REALLY great condition. Not cracked or chipped. It does have some parts of the paint(I believe) that are raised at the top. But we're just thinking that is part of the way it is painted.to add depth. It doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece. I'm selling this for some friends who have had this for years. It was passed down from relatives. I really had no idea the value of the piece until I looked on eBay. This is a great vase. It's not my style, or I would keep it! Very, very nice.

Because of the deep blue background color under the high quality glaze, it was impossible to get rid of reflections from the lighting and surroundings. The bright white spots are from the lighting. Rest assured that the quality of the outside and inside of the vase is excellent. The exterior has a mirror quality to it. In fact. When one looks at it on a table, the reflections from the windows and lights make the vase even more appealing. I've seen a few of these shaped Willets vases on ebay. Most pottery decoration is put into three categories: factory decoration(highest quality) Professional decoration(second best quality) and amateur decoration. To a trained eye the differences are obvious. From what I know of American Belleek, and I know quite a bit, this vase is 100% factory decorated, from the background color, to the decoration, to the gold gilt, and the glaze. Factory decorators usually did not sign their work(there are exceptions) Professional and amateur decorators nearly always did. There is no signature, nor are there any initials on this vase. Spectacular Willets Belleek Pedestal Jardiniere/Vase With Ornately Gilded Handles and Beautiful Red Roses Porcelain& Pottery:By Maker Or Type:Willetts Belleek Jardiniere/Vase(click picture for more details& pictures) This piece commands attention wherever it is displayed. It often sits on our dining table over the holidays filled with roses. Your eyes will immediately be drawn to the gilded handles and the bold Victorian colors of the floral compositions. Bouquets of deep red roses adorn both sides of the piece. They are painted against backdrop shades of green. Purple and muted yellow. The beautifully shaded and detailed foliage grounds each bouquet to the piece. The handles are huge, ornate, and spectacularly gilded with only the slightest wear on the high points. The signature Belleek crinkled rim is perfect.there are no chips ... moreand the gilding is intact. The pedestal base is highlighted by a 5/8th inch band of gold. Now for the bad news.there is a spider crack in the center of one side of the piece. It is pictured both from the inside and out and you would never even notice it on display. It is tight and secure.the piece still holds water and rings like a bell when tapped with a finger! If perfect, we would be asking more than double the price. The jardinière/vase stands a full 12 inches to the top of the handles, 10 ¼ inches to the top of the crinkled rim, 8 inches across its mouth and 5 ¼ inches across the pedestal base. It is stamped with a brown Willets Belleek mark as pictured that dates the piece from 1897-1909. This is a rare and unusual mold that does not come on the market very often. Available for your purchase is this absolutely stunning antique vase by Willets Belleek and hand painted and artist signed by Dunn(hallmark circa 1879-1912) The gold streaked background vase has three painted peacocks decorating the sides. The peacocks are in blue and white with feathers in gold with blue. White and soft orange highlights. The vase measures 12 1/2" high x 3 7/8" diameter top.
