The top of the base has hand painted scattered flowers and the lid’s rim has a ring of individual flowers. There are no maker markings on the piece. I'm not completely sure if this a Italian. The research I did shows it to be. If you have any knowledge of the piece I'd sure appreciate it? When held up to lite it gives off that see threw bone china appearance. Looks to be hand painted in aqua lots of gold with lots of green rusts and yellow. Measures 9 inches in height and almost 5 inches across. It is in perfect shape. Note: There is shiny black trim on mouth of vase as well as on bottom of rim. Would make a lovely Christmas gift. EARLY 1900'S ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FRENCH ITALIAN STYLE TABLE VASE PORCELAIN
Here for your consideration is a gorgeous Victorian Italian/French style antique porcelain vase. Comes from an old estate that dates back to the early 1900's. Features a lovely floral design on the front framed within what appears to be a hand painted gold trim. And a rich dark burgandy surrounding. The lovely center is framed with one of most ornate metal finishings we have seen and rich patina that has developed throughout the decades. The metal is probably brass topped with another that we can't identify. The piece measures 20 3/4 inches in height by about 5.5 inches at the center vase and weighs a little over 5 pounds. Remember that you will not be able to insert flowers or such beyond about a 2 inch depth. Ceramiche Leonardo Antique Italian Vase with Handpainted Blue Flowers
Up for auction is an antique vintage white ceramic vase with handpainted blue flowers by Ceramiche Leonardo. I would place this vase at mid-to-late 20th century. It is a GORGEOUS piece with very few flaws. All minor. The glaze has some very minor hairline cracks. I tried to photograph them but could not get them to show. Again, these are slight hairline cracks, very superficial, just in the glaze. They do not affect the integrity of the vase. There is also one very small chip on the rim; you have to be looking for it to see it. It doesn't even affect the lines of the vse. This vase is octagonal. It is white with handpainted blue flowers on a trailing vine with green leaves. The bottom is stamped"Made in Italy by Ceramiche Leonardo.There is something else stamped into the ceramic, as well. This antique vase is absolutely stunning and one of the most eye catching items I have seen in some time. This vase measures about 13" tall. Handle to handle across is about 11" This vase is very substantial and has a huge presence! I purchased this very unique item at a large estate sale. It was prominently displayed in their dining room. It has such detail and looks like it was hand made. A local antique dealer told me it looks to be from Italy. He told me it is definetely from the turn of the century. Either late 1800s or early 1900s. It is heavily painted with 24K gold and decorated with flowers and multi colored stripe/gold design. There are chips on the handles and red roses around the vase. There is some gold wearing off the handles. I see a few minor spots of crazing or light cracking when looking into the vase towards the ... moretop. However. Inside the vase looks fantastic. Antique Italian Majolica Pottery Vase with Luster Glaze, c.1900
Inspired by Renaissance pottery. This vase has a lot of drama. The winged lion or griffon dominates one side while a cross decorates the other. Floral elements surround the designs. It stands 7" tall with the same diameter and is 10" wide at the serpent-like handles. It weighs 2 pounds. Condition is very good but. Typical of the soft Majolica clay, there are some flaws. The handle to the left of the cross has an good,old repair(it apparently broke off) and the other handle has a piece missing at the bottom. Inside there is a firing flaw that doesn't go through to the bottom. I researched the mark on the bottom(a rooster or bird in the sunset? but didn't find anything exactly like it.

40620 Italian Polychrome Enameled Majolica Vase Of twin handled baluster form. Early 20th century, on wrought iron stand. Antique Italian Faience Vase on Wrought Iron Stand. Height 30 in. x Width 17 in. x Depth 17 in. Maiolica is a technique developed in Italy in the 14th century where a terracotta body is covered by a glaze which includes tin oxide to give an opaque white ground. This technique was originally used to imitate Chinese porcelain before the secret of the method of making porcelain was discovered. During the 15th and 16th centuries this opaque white ground then allowed the Italian potters to produced extravagant painted Renaissance style designs in the manner of the great artists of the day. These pieces have become extremely collectable and so have been reproduced since the latter part of the 19th century. THIS HAS SOME WEIGHT TO IT AND HAS RAISED CRACKELED GOLD TONE SPECKS ON THE SIDES THAT THERE ARE NO ANGELS JUST BUTTERFLIES AND FLOWERS. BOTH HANDLES ARE GOLD TONE BUT THE ONE HAS SOME GOLD WEARING OFF. THE BOTTOM OF THE ONE HANDLE LOOKS LIKE THERE'S A TINY BIT OF CLEAR GLUE. NOT SURE IF THIS IS ORIGINAL OR IF SOMEONE ADDED THIS. OLD antique 19th Century Italian Fine MAJOLICA Art POTTERY Ceramic Vase GINORI $
Up for sale here is a wonderfully detailed. Antique, probably 19th Century, Ginori Italian Majolica Art Pottery Vase with Shell and Serpent Motifs. It is completely hand painted not lithographic transferred decoration. The vase measures 6 1/4 inches across by 3 inches deep at the base by about 5 3/4 inches high. The piece is marked with the old Ginori Crown mark under the glaze on the bottom. The piece is quite heavy for its size. There are a few things to note for condition. The glaze is missing on the lower part of the mouth on both of the serpents which may be the result of the design where the glaze became thin on the mouths as the piece was cured. There is one very tiny, tiny chip on the mouth of one of the serpents measuring about 1/32nd of an inch in diameter or less. There is also one tiny, small rough spot to the glaze on top of ... morethe shell where the glaze is cracked but not broken or repaired. There are no other cracks, chips and no restorations to the work. The piece sits in its original condition. For the most part the piece looks good. There is no glaze crackling to the shell or the serpents unless its microscopic. The foot is also in good shape with no chips or wear. For its age it would be tough to find a delicate form like this in the condition that it is in. Antique Italian Ginori majolica is highly collected around the world, not many of these older pieces show up here in the United States. If you collect hard to come by majolica this would make a nice addition to your collection. Thank you very much for checking out our ebay store.
