For auction is: Antique c1900 Samson Style Nelson Armorial Heavy Paste Porcelain 9 3/8" Vase Gorgeous(heavy) vase that I cannot find much. No chips or cracks- Makes a nice ringing noise. I assume this is a copy of the pattern of a large service made for Lord Nelson that was in the possession of a Lady Hamilton at the time of his death and that porcelain was thought to be French. Mottahedeh also made pieces that pay homage to this pattern but this piece is not marked on the base and seems considerably older than those modern pieces. Beautifully decorated with the two color laurel leaves and gold acorns and bearing the blue swags enscribed in gold Nelson 22 April(on the front) and San Josef(on the back) Complex armorial design which read the legend PALMAM QUI MERVIT FERAT.
