The base is painted black. It's 5" tall and 3" at its widest diameter. It's in very nice condition with no chips. Cracks or breaks. There's just some light wear to the gold paint one the corner edges of the handles with the most wear from handling. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its exact age but approx. 1920s/1930s is my best guess. I cannot read the mark on the bottom. We found several examples very similar to this in the Mc Coy pottery line. The bottom has some firing marks, but the glaze is deep and true. One of the handles show signs of a restoration, however it does not appear to have come loose at any point. The vase measures approx. 8 3/4" x 13 1/4" We are calling this shabby chic due to the handle repair and some very minor scratches and rubs commensurate with age. Good Luck! 1940s Pearl China 10-1/2" creamy iridescent white urn style vase, gold handles
Offered for your consideration is this mid-century vintage Pearl China Company large urn style vase in a beautiful iridescent creamy white with hand-decorated gold trim. The vase is 10½" tall and 7½" wide including the two gold-encrusted handles. There are incisions on the main bowl that give the piece a paneled effect. These incisions end in a scalloped design at the foot of the vase. The 4¾" diameter opening is trimmed in gold and there is a gold band around the narrowest part of the vase near the bottom. The footing is 4¾" in diameter. In excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing and no wear to the gold trim. The iridescent luster shows off all the colors of the rainbow in the light. The handles are hand painted with gold. The handles have a small amount of gold worn off. See photos. There is a beautiful iridescence on this gorgeous Vintage Luster Pearl Lusterware vase. The vase measures 7 3/8" inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter at the top and base. The widest portion of the vase is at the bottom of the handles and from end to end measures 4 1/2. Marked 105 on bottom. A very beautiful collection item.
