Ornate Antique Royal Bonn Germany Cherub Cupid Gondola Centerpiece ca.1870
Beautiful Antique Royal Bonn Germany Gondola Centerpiece Bowl measuring 17 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches.tall and 6 1/2 inches deep. This bowl is hand painted and remains brightly colored in cobalt blue and dusty greens. The cupid cherubim dance fancifully in the garden on one side and on the other side the cupids fly. Their musical instruments are pictured on the"corners" of the bowl. This is in fabulous condition for age. I believe this to be from the latter part of the 19th century. With one expert placing it ca. 1970. There is slight wear to the gilt trim and one chip at top side, as shown in picture#9. Any other white marks in pictures are reflected light. Royal Bonn small round vase; Made in Germany. Artist signed Bauer. Tones of green. Violet, blue, yellow. Delicate painted face. The vase is 5" tall and 4" across at the widest point. The diameter of the base is 2 and 1/8" There is some loss of gilding at the edge of the mouth of vase. Some crazing on surface. But no cracks. The gilding at the base is intact. The vase may need some cleaning. But I have left it alone. Also, there is a very small object inside that I can hear and tried to remove but the mouth of the vase is so narrow I wasn't able to get it. Perseverance will do it, though.

Beautiful. Large, Royal Bonn vase. Floral decoration with silver and green embellishments. Stands 14 1/2 inches high and is 24 inches in diameter around the widest part. Shows it's age but has no chips, cracks and very little crazing. It is absolutely gorgeous and the pictures certainly don't do it any justice. Royal Bonn is the nineteenth-and twentieth-century trade name used by Franz Anton Mehlem. Who had a pottery in Bonn, Germany, from 1836 to 1931. Porcelain and earthenware were made. Royal Bonn used a monogram-and-tower mark that appeared on exported pottery only with Germany added. The factory was purchased by Villeroy& Boch in 1921 and closed in 1931. Many marks were used. Most including the name Bonn. The initials FM. And a crown.

This vase has Lovely Colors throughout. This vase weighs 2 pounds and measures 9 and 1/4" tall by 3 and 3/4" across at the top by 6 and 1/2" across at the base.
