This superb Noritake. Nippon era vase has no chips, cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, stains or repairs of any kind. I'm grading this vase as being in"Excellent" condition because the only flaw it does have is some worn gold accent trim in several places. Please keep in mind that the gold trim was usually applied over the finished piece and with this vase being somewhere between 91 to 101 years old it's inevitible that some gold would be worn away. Another thing to keep in mind is that because the gold trim is applied last it can easily be restored if you desired for a minimal cost. There are still a good many porcelain artists out their who have the resources and skill to restore the missing gold on this vase easily and without much expense. The hand painted scenes on this vase are nothing short of stunning and the trim colors of white, cobalt blue, turquoise, green and gold work together extremely well. In all honesty I can't describe the colors and decorative patterns this vase has any better than what the pictures I've provided can d do, so please use the"Supersize" and"Zoom" features when you view this piece. I would definitely call this vase an acurate portrayal of the"Art Nouveau" era or period and it's a traditional Chinese or Japanese jar vase with two ninety degree butress handles which are reminiscent of the arts and crafts era pottery which was coming to an end when this vas

True Art Nouveau Drop Edge Candle Vase TURN-TEPLITZ Amphora Works Reissner Vase
You are buying here.a real Art Nouveau beauty! This piece is a drop edge candle vase from Amphora Works Reissner. 1903-1918 as per the hallmark book I have. the hallmark is faint but is impressed with a crown above the center logo and is for sure as I stated. A photo is hard to do. but in person the reflection reveals it correctly.you have to trust me on this one. The assigned number is 548 with a 42 below that. This piece in the true Art Nouveau flavor which is really sharp. It stands at 6 1/4" high by 5 1/2" wide by 3 14/ deep. The flowers are enamel with a bee and clouds with the handle cascading into two leaves on either side. In my research I have found via Worthpoint. Being sold on ebay. This item on ebay in 2011 sold as a buy it now for 1825.00. I am offering a nicer vase for less and pretty much the same condition range. ... moreThe one on Worthpoint is of the jeweled nature. Mine and the one on Worthpoint are exactly the same vase mold, mine having the grass and daisy center panel. and the bright gold handle verses dull handle and the leaves with a patina type color verses shiny. If you need more photos simply ask and they are yours. At the very top there is a small loop that has broken off. A very easy repair. Aside from the damaged loop, there is a small chip which as shown in the photos which lead to a surface flake peel on the inside back of one of the leaves again both are an easy repair, and rightfully should be done to preserve this fine example. No other chips or cracks. If your not happy with this item you can return it no problem just inform me asap, as well if you think this is nice then you should check out the other vase I have up. A museum quality piece. opium death bottle with human spinal column and 4 skulls absolutely stunning. never seen before. This is a super art nouveau. Bisque finish, ceramic(porcelain? vase” A little girl in her peasant dress has found a large dragonfly that has settled on a giant nautilus shell– pure art nouveau! This is 7” at the highest point of the shell, and 6 ¼” at its widest, a very manageable size for a shelf or a table top. The only marking on the bottom is a hand incised number– 767(5” From the style, and quality, it reminds me of the work of pre-Czech Amphora, and I believe from Bohemia. Possibly the Turn– Teplitz region, or perhaps Bavaria. Wherever it was made. It’s a wonderful piece with a charming subject, and as I say– pure art nouveau! It is in great shape. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a small area that has a light stain along the base edge(red arrow) There is a small indent made by a tool( in production along the bottom ... moreedge(red arrow) At first I thought it was a tiny flake, but under magnification, you can see it is a push in of the ceramic. ANTIQUE EDDA AMPHORA AUSTRIA CRABAPPLES VASE ART NOUVEAU
This stunning Amphora Edda vase is the epitome of classic art nouveau pottery. It was made sometime between 1886-1910. There is a frosting of iridescence throughout the cream. Peach and earth tones on the body of the piece along with a rich dusting across the high relief of the crabapples. Condition is excellent for its age and delicate design There is slight crazing on the body of the vase. But no discoloration. The extremely fragile branches and leaves are all intact. Close inspection with a loop has shown there are three fleabites or flakes to the edges of the two of the leaves. There is a very small chip on the backside of the leaf furthest to the right. The curving form with maiden's pastel pink and blue dresses incorporates into the soft green flower as if they were one.And then swirls one more time at the bottom to a garden pool aside which a lobster looks at the women in wonder! It it marked"JS Made in Austria" in reddish orange shield. And impressed with 4537 in oval and another impressed letter that looks like a 7. You may know amphora as a type of large two-handled Grecian vase originally designed for storage. But the name Amphora also refers to art pottery produced in the Turn-Teplitz region of Bohemia during the Art Nouveau era. Two handles are gilded as well as the base and the neck. Original screws hold the base and urn together. Found this in the attic. where it has been for over 40 years) and it was originally a pair, but the other was crushed to pieces. I believe there are minor imperfections from age; I found one on the lady's arm and another by the tree on the other side(see last two photos) At least that's what I believe they are. This beauty stings 6 1/2” tall and featured a wonderful Art Nouveau floral arrangement with raised golden outline. The gold gilt on the double handles have faded over time. This is an excellent example of the type of work Riessner. Stellmacher, and Kessel produced from the Amphora Porcelain works in the late 19th early 20th Century. Many RStK artists honed their skills at the Teplitz Imperial Technical School for Ceramics and Associated Applied Arts. Producing Amphora was time consuming and prohibitively expensive.
