We are selling a ROYAL VIENNA URN SHAPE VASE with DOUBLE HANDLES. The vase has a classic urn shape with double gold handles. Green background on the neck with Greek key design along with gold raised jewelling. Below the neck of the vase is a hand painted seated maiden with cupid behind her holding a bow signed Wagner at the base of her foot. An antique porcelain vase showing a lovely center portrait of the Woman in Daisy Crown which is considered a scarce portrait on Prussia porcelain items. The top part of the vase has gold handles at the shoulders and a wonderful scalloped rim with gold detailing at the top. A pearl luster finish. A heavy gold border, and gold enameling that frames the portrait area.On the back there is wreath of fine gold leaves. The woman must have been someone very important, because there is another vase of the same period with her portrait.It is gorgeous piece for someone who values the hand painted vase.Measures( 11.5 in high and 6.5) at widest part with the porcelain to be in fabulous condition. Residing in Long Island and New York, who married Emily Gilbert(Peggy) the beauty who embodied his vision of womanhood, and became the model for his“glamour girl” illustrations. He is famous for his postcard designs; I think this image is based on his watercolour“Forever” which was dated 1907. The vase is probably Bohemian, 11 cms tall. The print is in good condition with no damage; the rim of the vase has a very small discoloured glaze spot and a very small(5 mm) discoloured hair line– neither are visible from the front. Features beautiful pink roses in a garland around the portrait topped with a blue bow. Little flowers(may be blue forget-me-nots) and garlands of raised gilt gold leaf delicate roses around the vase. The initials RVI and a crown are inside a wreath of leaves on the reverse side of the vase. The top part of the vase has the effect of being gathered or pinched and done in a dark sage color. Incredible hand done enameling of the real gold gilt. The footed base and interior of the neck is gold leafed. In all. The artistry is top quality! Marked on the bottom"Doulton. Burslem, England" Item is in excellent condition for the most part. A tight break on one handle that was repaired a long time ago. Hard to see. We only found it with a jewelers loupe. Some slight specs of gold finish missing on the edge of the top rim. There is a 1.5" hairline on the back(a few slight hairlines. Which are hard to see, emanate off) and another 1.75" hairline which is in the crease at the bases foot. Another little one comes off of it. which is age related and this does not take away from the beauty or integrity of the piece. Please see the pictures for any other slight issues not

This grandiose and beautiful lidded portrait urn is from workshop of Franz Anton Mehlem of Bonn, Germany, circa 1870. This is a wonderful and richly coloured Pompadour rose pink vase embellished with elaborate ornamentation in the classical manner of the mid 1800's. Using magnificent bands of exquisite polychrome hand-painted decoration. Possessing delicate floral encrusted and gilt handles. The body of this urn features a portrait MASTERPIECE of Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, exquisitely painted in fine detail and set in a gilded cartouche which has been signed by the artist(P. Juhmer) At the back, a flourish of gilded flowers and musical instruments in heavy impasto gilt are sensationally ... moredisplayed. Four miniature gilt florets frame each side of the body, both front and back. In the second photo one of these florets appears as a smudge but it is indeed a perfectly painted miniature flower in gold- so difficult to photograph this highly reflective vase: White and gold hand-painted acanthus leaves in high relief are featured on the base. Most items are vintage or antique and were found at estate sales. Local auctions or flea markets. Up for auction is a vintage or antique large porcelain portrait vase or urn by Victoria of Austria. The bottom is signed in blue Victoria Austria Carlsbad with the symbol of a winged creature and the painted number 24. There's also two impressed numbers or letters on the bottom. A large center medallion or cartouche with the hand embellished portrait of a lovely scantly clad female decorates the front. The overall background color is dark green with gold gilded flowers. A few very small surface scratches were seen in the green glaze. The condition is good. There are no cracks or ... morechips. Just some light wear marks(small scratches) on the bottom from normal use or age and some light loss to the gilding on the twisted rope cable style handles. Antique Old Paris porcelain cobalt portrait vase blue bird 1850
This is an old Paris porcelain cobalt vase with a hand painted portrait. The vase is cylinder in shape and flares out near the bottom. The vase is 10 5/8 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. It has a hand painted scene on it of a lovely lady in colorful dress with a bird on her shoulder. The vase has a cobalt matte glaze. The only mark on the bottom is a 27 that is written in ink. The vase is from France and dates circa 1850. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is some wear to the gilding and discoloration of the blue glaze.

We are offering an antique majolica 12 inch vase. It is in urn styling with two elaborate handles. The urn has been handcrafted in majolica. Perhaps Italian. However the one underside marking"MOL. cannot be identified. We therefore can describe it. But with regard to it provenance, it is unknown to us. We hope that you will find this to be exactly what you want. The coloring and styling: The base color front and the entire back is glazed in cobalt. The front has applications: There are three(3) emblem or portrait areas. They have been hand painted in light blue tones with other accent areas in the yellow-green family. Burnished brown-reds ... moreand gold highlighting have been used to enhance the hand painted rose flower bouquets that are the center issues in the emblem areas. There are one large one in the front with ornate scrolling that joins with the floral style handle and border rim design. The base and side panels are also applied in the same manner. Like many majolica items. The the vase-urn has raised scrolling and elaborate raised work on rim, base, handle. The raised areas were probably formed as pat of the shape. Prior to painting and firing. These areas. Embossed, are on the back, but as stated, glazed in cobalt only. Summary of the Design Criteria: A hand painted floral and scroll motif in portrait areas in a overall cobalt background. It is beautiful and seemingly perfect except for the 1/2 inch very thin flake found on the underside unglazed area. Close to the rim. We did not find any other important issues. Antique Rosenthal Printemps moon flask portrait vase snake handles 1900
This porcelain Rosenthal vase is unique in that it is in the shape of a moonflask with snake handles. The vase is 11 inches tall. 9 inches wide and 2 ¾ inches deep. It is decorated in green with a child on one side and a lady with the hat on the other side. The vase is footed and has a greek key style decoration on the bottom. It has the Philip Rosenthal mark on the bottom that was used from 1897 to 1906. It is marked in red Printemps and also says Germany. It has some initials on the bottom, likely those of the artist. The vase is in very good condition, there is firing crack on one of the snake handles and a dot sized pop on the back. There is wear to the gilding.

The detailed French soldier in the portrait we believe to be painted by Meissonier as indicated by the signature at the bottom of the portrait. Along with this signature are some other words or names. We cannot make them out. If painted by Jean Louis Meissonier, 1815-1891, it would be in keeping with his subject matter as he painted Napoleon and other military themes. Antique 19th C. Old Paris Portrait Vase Urn Shaped 8.5' Bacchus Mask Handles
I am selling a 40 year collection of Antiques. All items are guaranteed antique and as described. Please check my other Auctions for other fine Antiques. This auction is for a very beautiful old paris vase that is in wonderful condition. There are no chips. Cracks or any repair to this urn shaped vase which dates from the 1860s. The urn is 9 1/4 inches tall 5 1/4 inches wide from handle to handle the base is 3 1/4 inches in diameter the top opening is 3 1/8 inches in diameter. The entire vase is hand painted including the cameo portrait medallion. The classical handles have been painted with heavy gold lines and fine blue tracery lines. The base of the handles are formed by unglazed bisque Bacchus masks with grapes in their hair. These heads have very fine details photo 2 and 3. The bright orange back ground color in the cameo medallion gives ... moredepth to the portrait and is of course a color that was much used during this period. This tiny portrait vase was discovered in 1949 at an estate sale at a lovely old stately home in Bath. England. The lovely lady whose portrait appears on it may have been an ancestor of the family who sold their possessions but we have lost track of any of this info. The fine porcelain vase stands 2 inches tall and has three handles decorated with gold. The portrait shows an elegant lady(of perhaps the 18th century) with a dog at her side. The frame which surrounds her picture has delicate gold scrollwork against green, and the top has a border of the same green. The portrait covers one of three sides, and a garland of delicate roses is painted on the other two sides. The beehive mark on the bottom is quite faded now but we believe it is the Royal Vienna mark and it is likely the item is about 200 years old. The handle has been reattached and this is shown in the significantly lower price for a Royal Saxe Portrait Vase. This pitcher/ewer/vase stands 6.5" tall and the base is 2" wide. The lady is a flirtatious young lady with a large blue bow atop her curly brown hair. The vase is 10.5" tall and in above vintage condition showing little to no age related wear. Rich shades of brown. It is decorated with the portrait of a beautiful woman on the front. I have read that the models for these Warwick portraits were prostitutes who were paid to work as models but I don’t know if this is fact or fiction! The vase is approximately 10 ½ tall and 6” across at its widest point. There are no chips or repairs but there is overall age crazing throughout the vase. There is also light paint wear; the most paint wear is to the gold trim around the top. The bottom is marked Ioga Warwick with the Warwick logo with the number A.17 in red. Antique Art Deco Warwick Portrait Vase- Buxom Maiden with Rose- Ca 1910- 10"H You are bidding on a beautiful Antique Art Deco Portrait Vase by Warwick made in the 1910 timeframe. The Vase. Which has a voluptous maiden in a very thin chiffon dress holding a rose, is 10.5 inches tall and 5.75 inches in diameter at the base is in very good condition with some minor wear to the gild around the top edge, minor paint loss at the base( no chips or cracks) and some crazing on the interior of the vase and bottom. The tapered vase varies from light brow to dark brown with twig handles. It is said that Warwick painted a series of vases known as the Wheeling Girls, women of the red light district who gave the vases as gifts to their clients. The vase has nice classic. Regal style to it. The vase is marked and signed- see pictures. It has no chips or crazing. There are slight marks/wear on the lip of the piece, minuscule scratches on the rim and couple marks on the vase; nothing that takes away from the piece.
