As near as I can tell from my brief research, this dish was made by a company called Beyer ... more& Bock. The mark says “Rudolstadt” and shows a crown above a capital B which is what signifies this maker. The raised star is what defines the period of time in which it was made. There are some flaws with this piece. The gold shows wear, there is a dark mark on the outside of the dish (a firing flaw?) and there is a light stain on one end of the inside. Otherwise it is a lovely piece, with beautiful deep rose and pink flowers bordering a pistachio-green colored top edge. Gold edging all around the top, with two oblong slits at the two pointed edges to serve as dainty “handles”.

Features fine detailing on the sides and bottom(see photo) as well as a pair of handles on each side. The pestle is a long, double-ended design with light decorations along the shaft. A mortar and pestle is a tool used to crush. Grind, and mix solid substances(trituration) The pestle is a heavy bat-shaped, sometimes dual ended object, the end of which is used for crushing and grinding. The mortar is a bowl, typically made of hard wood, ceramic, brass, or stone. The substance to be ground is placed in the mortar and ground, crushed or mixed with the pestle. Sometimes referred to as an"Apothecary Grinder" by individuals unfamiliar with its use, the proper historical name is"mortar and pestle" The mortar is 5 inches tall and has a 3 1/2 inch base. Being solid brass. It weighs 5 pounds, 11 ounces. This set is very old. And as such as the kind of wear one would expect from an item used like this. There are scrapes, dings, dents, and some patina. Antique Rudolstadt Vase made in Germany with Handles 8 3/4" tall
Up for sale is a beautiful 2 handle vase with flowers and gold gilt trim made by Rudolstadt of Germany. This vase has a stamp on the bottom that dates it between 1904 thru 1924. It is made of porcelain and has a cream color which is a trademark of theirs. On the bottom along with the stamp the number 7018 which I think may be mold number and the number 56 in ink. It does have some gold loss due to use and age. Check pic.9& 10, but does not have any cracks, chips or any other damage. The measurements are 8 3/4" tall and 5" wide. I will insure this vase for free. When I ship fragile items I build a wooden box then put that inside a box with packing for safe shipment and is insured. Thanks for looking.

Here's another lovely porcelain Rudolstadt Vase. With hand-painted in delicate florals and lots of gold trim on a cream colored ground. Circa 1900 Thuringina, Germany, hand-painted porcelain with ONE chip to the top edge(see photos) no cracks or repairs. Unmarked piece, but signed with gold hand-painted"26" and impressed with 4141 and 47 and 1. KOVELS: Rudolstadt was a faience factory in the Thuringia region of Germany from 1720 to about 1791. In 1854. Ernst Bohne began working in the area. From about 1887 to 1918, the New York and Rudolstadt Pottery made decorated porcelain marked with the RW and crown familiar to collectors. This porcelain was imported by Lewis Straus and Sons of New York, which later became Nathan Straus and Sons. The word Royal was included in their import mark. Vintage Hand Painted Horn Shaped Vase with Medallion, Royal Rudolstadt, Germany
A hand painted and hand modeled vintage vase. Horn shaped with a round medallion and decorative branch of roses by Royal Rudolstadt, Germany. The medallion has gold gilt framing lines and decorative outer border and is embellished with a bird sitting on a grapevine. Surrounded with flowers. Vase is in fair condition with several broken off or chipped pieces on the fine bisque rose petals and branch tips. The bottom rim has some black substance that has dried. It seems to be coming off when worked on but I have not tried too hard so as not to damage the item. Medallion and the remainder of the vase however shows no hairlines. Chipping or breakage. The top rim area also has very light wear. I did not see any damage but you may feel a couple sharp spots on the handle which I think is in the mold process and not damage.
