DESCRIPTION This is from an Estate sale. I have several up for auction from same estate. I've been told they were all made in the 20's into the 30's. These have been well used over time. I have not washed any of these old pieces. This is more of a throw size. This one is made of wool. It has two pieces sewn together with a mulitoolor stiching. I have no idea if this is a'pattern' or not. Looks like the inner pieces are lighter than the outter ones. Other than that I'm cluess. One side is more browns and the other more reds. Needs TLC for repairing or used as a cutter for crafting as some of the yarn stiching is coming apart. Thanks for looking! Size: 69" x 45" Mails Parcel selects. Priority Mail or ground mail. I had always invisioned displaying it on my wall in a room as I think it visually STRIKING and pleasing to the eye! It is DOUBLE sided. So if you are planning on using it on a bed from a display aspect you are getting 2 quilts in one. Display 2 completely different Striking and BOLD beautiful looks on your bed, one is STAR pattern and flip it over and you have different pattern which is Bow Tie. I bought this quilt about 15 years ago on Ebay. It was sold as late 1800's to early 1900's. Mostly dark wool pieces, and bright color fabrics, tartin and plaid fabrics. It is very colorful and put together skillfully to create a pleasing artistic work of art. I always thought I would put some work into repairing the areas that need repair. I ... moream now reluctant to do this as I might mess it up and not repair it the way the final owner would like it. Therefore I have decided to put it on Ebay in it's original condition to see if someone wants to use it"as is" for it's historic beauty or spend some time on it to get it repaired to it's true beautiful potential. The majority of the quilt is in good condition. Some areas need some repair. I have tried to photograph the areas that need some tender loving care/repair. See the photos and zoom in. There are several areas that have some small holes in the black wool pieces. Several fabric pieces that need replacement as they are showing their age(zoom in on pics) and lastly an area on the black and purple that is stained. Large lot Used Wool Scraps for Quilts - Blankets or craft project.
Picked this up at an estate auction. Edges were uneven. Pieces sewn together were made to fit and had lots of gathers. Decided to start over and then my daughter decided she didn't really want a wool quilt after all. Laundered when still together. Dried in dryer. Cut some pieces apart and pulled some apart at seam- some I left together. Originally this would have fit on a full size bed with some over the edge. There are a variety of thickness to the wool pieces. Also found a few pieces of other fabric besides wool. Such a nice variation of colors it should be attractive if put together neatly. Lots of little threads still on fabric where they were pulled apart. There are 4 lbs of fabric. Feel free to ask questions.

PRIMITIVE OLD WOOL HOMESPUN PILLOW WITH BLACK CAT ON QUILTS ~ ORIGINAL FOLK ART
A unique little pillow with a black plush wool felt cat on"quilts"handstitched on old wool homespun. It measures about 8"x9" and backed with muslin. I used polyfil for stuffing. Looks great propped on a shelf. Wicker chair or on a country bench with other cat pillows. A nice gift or keepsake.
