Vintage 30's Nile Green Double Wedding Ring QUILT Novelty Feedsack
This is a beautiful hand stitched vintage quilt in a double wedding ring pattern. The edges are scalloped and the back has a couple of thinned tears shown in the pictures. The colors are fantastic. Especially for this time of year! It measures 85 x 72 inches. The applied pattern appears to be from old feed sacks. Although beautiful, the pattern hides it's imperfections which are multiple frayed areas to some of the feed sack fabric. I took some pictures to show a close up example even though as a whole it displays very nicely. I know very little about antique quilts and am learning as I go. So please ask any questions and I appreciate any an all information given to me by avid collectors!

Vintage Handmade Hand Quilted Blue Flower Basket Feedsack Full Cotton Quilt Description. Vintage hand made flower basket quilt. All cotton fabrics in solids and prints. I believe feedsacks as well but am no expert and will let you be the judge. Striping in blue with red squares. It is all hand quilted. Backed in a wonderful cotton fabric in white. Navy blue and red with birds leaves and geometric medallion designs. It is a medium or heavy weight winter quilt. The quilt top is in excellent condition, I noticed just a couple of small faint spots. The back has some repairs around the edge. The repairs are machine stitched and it looks as though it was done before the back was put on. The edge stitching was not undone anywhere and the machine repair stitching does not go threw to the front. There are also a a few small holes just started around ... morethe edge. The QUILTS are early 20th century. Probably 1920s through 1940s. They are made of vintage fabric, from old clothes, suits, dresses, shirts, and feedsack prints and solids, made in a time when we were not a"throw-away" society. The quilts had been well-used by the owners and were dirty and odorous, and obviously had been stored for many years. The QUILTS have all been laundered and clothesline-dried. They smell fresh now. And I have a smoke free home. The condition of each varies, but considering these were used everyday they show signs of wear: tears, shredding of squares, stains, and batting coming out of holes. QUILT USING VINTAGE BUTTERFLY BLOCKS* FEEDSACK FABRICS
This quilt measures 35" x 48" and has 6 vintage quilt blocks with a Butterfly pattern. The butterflies have been hand sewn onto natural muslin with brown embroidery floss in small even buttonhole stitches. The fabrics are all cotton and there are lots of feedsack fabrics. There is a 1" inner border of feedsack fabric and a 1.5" sashing of solid yellow cotton fabric that is new. The 5" outer border is turquoise with small swirls. Also new cotton. The batting is Warm and Natural cotton and the backing is natural cotton muslin. Machine quilting in a light pastel variegated cotton thread follows an all over loop pattern. Quarter sections are shown, to see the details better. It measures 88" by 88" overall, pink is the main color. There are 25 plates, that were sewn inside 16" squares. It was hand quilted at 5-8 spi, with beautiful crosshatch& swirl designs. The back is white, the binding was hand sewn. There is a 5" ice cream cone border, that goes all around. It has thin batting. It has been washed& lays flat. Excellent condition with no flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. Vintage feedsack crib quilt hand quilted has wear 1930's era Double Nine Patch
Sweet. Vintage Double Nine Patch crib quilt from the 1930's made mostly of feed sack cotton. It measures 38 x 42" and is hand quilted Batting is thin. Backing is white cotton. Hand quilted in squares at 4 to 5"up" stitches to the inch. Most of the fabric is feedsack cotton including a cute novelty print of a mother cat and kittens. Quilt has been used and is faded. No stains. No holes all the way thru. Binding edges are worn. Early Vintage Unused Hand-pieced PATCHWORK QUILT TOP Feedsack Search Antique Feedsack Quilt Top This vintage patchwork quilt top came from an estate auction in Ephrata. Pennsylvania, it is machine stitched and made of a variety of old fabrics-there are old stripes. Tiny plaids, ginghams, checks, floral, ticking, even some old flannel and more. There is no rhyme or reason to the patches in each of the 30 large blocks of the quilt; however the pieces inside each block do complement each other and have a separate pattern than each of the other blocks. It was constructed using old newspaper patterns as some bits of the paper were sewn into the seams and some of it is still stuck in the stitching and can be seen on the reverse side. Made with feed sack and other cotton pieces. The main color is green. Not blue as it appears on my computer. This appears to be entirely hand stitched. It's all cotton. Thin and light weight. Backing is white cotton. It's hand quilted at 9 stitches per inch. Counting one side only, so it was well made. Unfortunately, it has seen much use. One block in particular is in bad shape, with five smaller blocks within it having shattered fabric. There are two places on opposite sides that have a small tear. I have circled all of this in the pictures below and you can click to enlarge any of them. The rest of the quilt seems to be in pretty good condition, with only a small ... morestain here or there. Vintage Hand Stitched 9 Patch Quilt Top Make a Quilt or Use for Craft& Christmas Projects Age and quilter are unknown Quilt Top is hand pieced quilt with large squares being machine sewn to gray. I believe the majority of the 9 patch squares are feedsack with some shirting and assorted cottons. Now some of the feedsack looks really old- like the darker reds and some navy. App 80" x 68" squares measure just over 3x3 with full 9 patch square at app 10x10 I held the top up to the sunlight to search for holes and found none! There are some strings here and there that look like wrinkles in the quilt top but the wind made it so hard to get smooth photos. There is some age staining but I didn't laundered the top& it has no odor The last photo should show the back of the quilt with some hangover from the clothesline. Vintage Handmade Feedsack Quilt Cutter Crafts 80x66
Up for auction is a vintage hand stitched quilt that measures a large 80" x 66" The colorful blue pieces are made from flour/feed sacks and the white pieces were made from a cotton eyelet fabric. The overall background is white(off white) The back of the quilt is also an off white cotton feed sack fabric. In the pictures you can see that one of the backing feed sacks had writing and a picture of a clock with an eagle in the middle. I have shown pictures of fraying and hand stitching. Lot of 40 Vintage 50s and Older Quilt Blocks and Small Quilt Top with Feedsack
Up for bidding is a lot of 40 vintage quilt blocks and a small quilt top. 1. 6 yellow flower applique quilt blocks. 17.75 x 17.75 inches-One of them is sewn by a different person and is not as neat as the others. All of them have a small pinhole in the lower right corner where someone pinned them together with a big safety pin(see picture 4) All of them need washed. 2. 18 black and blue octagon quilt blocks. 12 x 12 inches. These blocks look older than the others. They look machine-sewn by an old treadle sewing machine. They do not have very many spots. 3. 16 1950s star quilt blocks. 10 x 10 inches. These blocks are pretty clean with only a few scattered spots. The worst spot is shown in the close-up. These are all hand sewn. 4. Small quilt top. About 31.5 X 39.5 inches. In green floral fabric as well as stripes in very pal shades of tan& blue. Each dresden plate square is 13.5" x 13.5" The most damage is along the bottom and left side(see photos) as well as a few other small ones. Also has a few repair spots(see photo) but most of the squares are salvageable. It has been washed& line dried. Hand stitched quilted and green border is machine stitched. Vintage QUILT TOP Grandmother's Flower Garden unfinished feedsack hexagons hand
Unfinished Vintage Quilt Top I purchased this unfinished quilt top at an antique store 10+ years ago with great intentions of finishing it for a tablecloth. I got as far as replacing the one missing hexagon then packed it away. Now it's ready to be taken on as a project for someone with more sewing drive than I have. I don't know much about fabrics or quilts but I think these are feedsack or at least feedsack like patterns. It is mostly handstitched with a few areas that have been machine done as if it may have been worked on at quite different times. It has soft colors. Somewhat less brilliant than the photos. SIZE: It's a bit difficult to measure because it has uneven edges but is about 74" X 81" It is shown on a full size mattress and hangs evenly on both sides. CONDITION: Unfinished edges with some fraying. I found ... moreonly two places where the fabric has torn. Shown in the last two photos. The background colors vary. Handmade Vintage Feedsack Quilt 68 by 80 Inches 1930s
For auction is a Vintage old feedsack quilt dating back to at least 1930s. It is in great condition. Just saw a few faded very faded old spots which are only seen in direct sunlight. This has appliqued 8 point stars and feedsacks were used to make the top of the quilt and the appliques were sewn on over them. You can see the printing of the feedsacks which were turned over to make the quilt top all over the quilt. I got this quilt at an estate sale probably 30 years ago. I was told this was made during the 30s when material was hard to find and scraps were used to make warm quilts for the winters. There is no fraying on the edging that I can see. This old quilt is still in great useable condition. The back of the quilt is feedsack also and it was yarn tied. I really don't think it was used much, but it has been used. vintage 78" x 72" feedsack handmade trip around the world quilt
very old trip around the world feedsack sqaures quilt 78" long x 72" some of the 3"x3" squares. Particularly the pale blue that I photoed upclose are threadbare the edge is also worn and seperated in many areas I took upclose pictures of any areas I found with issues. Vintage Hand Made Whirling Log Pinwheel Good Luck Feedsack Patchwork Quilt For your consideration is a vintage hand made whirling log pinwheel good luck feedsack patchwork quilt. This item measures 79 inches by 81 inches. It is in good condition though there are a few small holes. They probably wouldn't be too hard to repair if you were handy with this sort of thing. There are a few light spots on the back of the quilt and a couple repairs on the back, these areas are all shown in the pictures. I have not washed this quilt though I think it probably could be washed on gentle cycle if you wanted to. This is a beautiful old quilt, it would be a great addition to your home. Please note: All of my items are from estate and or yard sales or thrift stores and I do not know their past history of being around pets or smoke.
