The border has 7/8" rod quilting and 3/4" grid quilting is thoughout the entire quilt. Over the blocks there is 1/4" double rod quilting. Very thin cotton batting with a lot of cotton seed fragments. Antique Hand Quilt Tree Of Life Turkey Red White Cutter Piece Primitive Block H8
This antique quilt piece is approximately 15" X 30" It is very aged looking with a lot of yellowing(see the last picture for an example in different lighting) There are areas of shredding(please see all pictures) This quilted piece is perfect for crafts. Candle mats, coasters, shelf decor, etc! Primitive Pillow 7 by 7 Red White Blue Star Antique Cutter Quilt Indigo
A fantastic primitive pillow made from a beautiful antique quilt square. The old fabrics are beautiful. The horseshoe print on the red fabric is really fun. The hand stitches on this quilt are amazing. I think you can see that in the photos. However. Too many worn spots mean the quilt can't be used-the fabric on the plain squares setting these blocks was completely shattered. So I've made pillows to be used as decorations-on your bed or chair, or in a basket. The pillow is about 7" by 7" The corners are slightly boxed, to give the pillow a nice shape. The pillows are stuffed with new bamboo fiberfill. The pillow has a complementary antique/vintage button sewn in the middle. Primitive OOAK cutter quilt piece~red, white, great for very prim crafts, sheep
This is a cutter quilt piece of red and white which is in wonderful condition. There is some tattering in the red. White but overall it has held together very nicely. On the other hand the larger square in the center is completely tattered but the batting has stayed intact and the very small amount of fabric that is in the square appears to be a brown. I think this would be a great piece for prim sheep, Santa beards, or even very prim snowmen. The quilt piece measures 24x26" All of my items are made from vintage quilts that are bought throughout the Southeast. Primitive handmade OOAK Stocking pillow~vintage cutter quilt~red, green~colorful
Listed tonight is a stocking pillow hanger. The pillow is red with a colorful stocking handstitched onto it. I stuffed the pillow firmly and then added greenery. Berries, and chenille candy cane into the stocking. At the top of the stocking is a piece of cotton chenille and a reproduced post card attached with a jingle bell. The pillow hangs by type gold tinsel. There are 2 rusty jingle bells attached to each side at the top of the pillow. This stocking pillow would be a complimentary addition to any type of Christmas decor. The pillow measures 13" long and 4.5" wide and has a red plaid homespun back. The hanger adds 4" to the length. Antique Drunkards Path Quilt Cutter or Repair Great Red cotton backing
For auction is this awesome antique Drunkard's Path pattern cutter or repair quilt. That is all hand stitched, and hand quilted, measuring 65" x 72" Quilt is all old cotton fabrics Vivid colors of orange. And sage green on front, backing is nice solid red cotton homespun. Quilt is in wonderful condition for its age, but does have wear in a few areas with cotton batting showing. As well as age spots. Age spots can be cleaned using proper cleaner for antique textiles. This quilt would be wonderful to use in the fall for autumn display, and then flip it over to the back and display the beautiful red backing. Cream & Red Quilt - excellent workmanship Use it or Cutter
Here for bid we have a wonderful old quilt. I don't know the pattern name. But I can tell you whoever made it knew what they were doing. The quilting is very neatly done. The construction of the quilt itself was done great too. The binding is still perfect without any fraying. The downside to this quilt would be the fading to the red. If the new owner doesn't mind the fading at places you would have yourself a wonderful old quilt. I would hate to see this happen but it could be a cutter. For all those craft people this would make some nice christmas ornaments, tree skirts, stockings, and more. I'll let the new owner decide. This has no holes, again the major issue is the fading. Measures 69 x 70 inches. Light batting between the quilt. I am liquidating an estate so check back weekly as I list things. This is a Block Quilt, and is all hand sewn, and hand quilted, pieced, and shows the feed sack used with the writing still legible. This measures about 70.5"x70.5" with the small squares measuring 2.5"x2.5" the Big Center Block measures 31" x 31" the red checkered border is 3.5" wide, and the big solid red Border is 5" wide. Up for bid is a cutter quilt piece all hand quilted. The cotton batting is thin and smooth. This piece is approximately 39 X 40. This quilted piece is perfect for crafts. Pillows, coasters, shelf decor, etc! This piece does not have worn holes except on the very edge There may be some small surface holes, and the edges show wear but not very much on ths piece. The setting square is a faded red small check/print. The stars are pieced and would be called a scrap quilt as they are all diferent. These pieces have been washed. Vintage primitive handstitched quilt Cutter red patched quilt very old make do
This awesome old red primitive quilt is very old and was used daily during the early 1900s. I was told it was Civil War era. But I do not know that. Completely hand pieced. Stitched, quilted. The name"Maud" is sewn on one square. It has much wear. There are several repairs with scraps and surprisingly little stain! It has a nice clean fresh smell. I have owned this for decades and used it in primitive or country displays. It makes a wonderful back drop. It would make a great cutter also. The quilt measures 68x84 and is shown on a full bed as well as some of the displays as an example. The light weight makes it ideal for using in an antique booth display. Most of the blocks are worn faint but the outside edges have good color and less wear. I counted 20 blocks that are not worn out completely. Thanks for looking.
