The top side looks very good with no marks or stains. The bottom has a few light spots. I have not washed this quilt. I will leave that to the buyers discretion. The colors are slightly pastel and the blue and yellow are a great combination. Of course there are many other colors. Please take a close look. I also found a piece of purple fabric that I assume could be used as a template for the space between the 4-patches. I've never put this pattern together? All clean and pressed. They are ready to go. My grandmother made this quilt. I am 65. So that gives you an idea of how old it is. It is colorful and hand sewn. The photos. Make it look better than it is. There are no holes. Beautiful HAND MADE & SEWN QUILT w/ "Stairs" Pattern, 87" x 78"
A beautiful handmade and sewn quilt in the"Endless Stairs" pattern. In four shades of green, plus white. Please check our pics for details, including the measurement of the longer or wider step on the stairs, so you have an idea of size. The quilt was placed on a queen size bed that measures 80" by 60" give or take. The quilt itself measures 87" by 78" approximately. It seems to us it would look fine on either a full size bed. Or a queen size bed, but please you check our pics and be the judge of that. The top of the quilt has no stains or any problem that we can see. The bottom has two stains. And we made a photo of the most visible for you to see. This is nothing major, but you must be of course informed. The quilt was stitched by hand. As you'll see on our close-ups, including the white edge that goes ... moreall around the quilt. No machine sewing here. But we think the quilt is not really that vintage, it is probably from the 60's~70's or so, as the quilt in general doesn't have the look of being a very old thing. The fabric it seems to us is cotton, not permanent press. It has some batting. But not much. The quilt weighs close to 4 lbs, so it is not very heavy, but it is not a lightweight item either. Very lovely quilt hand stitched. Scalloped edge with pink trim. Good condition. Although it has a few dirt marks that I have not tried to remove. I have included some pictures of the type of marks. This is mainly a BOW TIE pattern. Along with a secondary pattern, Old Italian Block, and I am told there is also an unidentified third pattern. Fabrics are gingham. Rayon and cotton with different color ways, i.e. same pattern but different colors. It has a muslin backing and high-loft batting. Predominant colors of the feedsack material are blue and pink. With amethyst or lavender fabric border. Measures approx. 70 by 84 inches. This item was obtained at an estate sale and described as a utilitarian quilt. Handstitched and pieced. It has been laundered and has a small tear in the binding near one corner. Please examine auction photos. Next is another antique hand-sewn piece(shown in the image with a single block in the same pattern) The single block measures 14" square and the sewn piece measures 14" wide by 92" long. We are not sure of the name of this pattern. But the basic idea is the same as the Dresden Plate, so we call it a Dresden Plate variation. It is really impressive, as you'll see below. This quilt is really old and some of the white fabric is starting to fray a little bit. We made pics of all the frayed areas and all the other flaws we found on this quilt. So please check all our photos to have a good idea. The quilt is very thin, with no batting, as you can see below at the points where the fabric has frayed and the bottom of the quilt is visible(no batting as far as we can tell between the top and the backing) The quilt measures 82" by 74' but please notice it has an irregular edge. This is an old quilt. Hand cut and hand stitched, and it has been used and washed. It has some stains, as you'll see below, but it still is in good, usable condition for its age, and it has an interesting pattern made with swatches of old cotton fabric, maybe from actual feed sacks and maybe others as well. Made of what we think is all cotton swatches. Hand sewn, in good condition but with some flaws that you'll see below, a vintage grandmother's style quilt top in the flower garden hexagonal pattern, with many fresh, bright colors, but in an irregular shape as the quilt top was never finished. Antique quilt top, hand sewn, some embroidery, Measures 52" x 72"
Vintage/antique quilt top. Not sure of age but it was my great aunt's and she has been gone since 1953. From what I can gather it belonged to her mother or maybe even grandmother. Never finished. The red bird is embroidered and the blue part is some kind of hand sewing. The blocks are sewed together by hand not by a machine. It's unusual the way they put the blocks together but you have to remember that they didn't have a lot of access to material. If I knew quilting I would finish it myself but decided to share and let someone else enjoy. I have several quilts made by my grandmother so that will do for keepsakes. Check out my! Beautiful Antique / Vintage Hand Sewn Wedding Ring Quilt
Here is a truly wonderful antique or early vintage hand pieced and hand quilted classic American wedding ring quilt. The background and backing are a deep rich age earned ecru. The rings are a colorful assortment of calico prints. The binding is mint green. The borders are scalloped on all sides. The condition is very good antique, with only three small holes that do not go through the quilt seen, and very minor soiling or storage marks. There is nothing that detracts from this this lovely old quilt. This spring or summer quilt has no batting. The measurements are aprox. 86” by 70”

One quarter section is shown, it's the same all over. It measures 52" by 70"overall& is all cotton. There are 1.5" squares, set on point. It was all hand sewn at an even 6-9 spi. It has been washed& lays flat. There are some loose stitches around the edges. With no other flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. Vtg 19th Century CRAZY QUILT Top Political Ribbons Hand Sewn Needlework Sampler DIMENSIONS About 50" x 50" Made of 16 decorated squares. Each just over 12" square. DESCRIPTION Nice old Crazy Quilt top ca. 1900. Each of the 16 squares is unique and completely hand decorated. Several types of fabric are used. There are cut out and applied shapes. Images, a sheep. Guitar, umbrella, padlock, tennis rackets, leaves, the moon, flowers, etc. Various type of needlework are also used as well as paint for some of the flowers. One square has two political ribbons. Sickles for senator and Perry for Senator, possibly referring to New York politician Daniel Sickles. 1819-1914. I have included over 50 photos showing everything in detail. This quilt top is being sold as found from a recent estate. It is currently mounted onto a thick piece ... moreof foam board with nylon string. The quilting is machine done. But the baskets have been hand-applied. There are a myriad of basket colors on a white with tiny, tiny flowers printed on it. I have sold many feedsacks before, and all of these pieces of fabric are feedsack-like. These baskets are place on hand-applied tan squares. Thirteen of the 36 baskets have some wear– to a very small pull on one to one I noticed that the wear goes into the batting underneath. The reverse side is a cream-colored fabric with little blue or black stars on them. The backing is in excellent condition– I’ve only found a few ... moreareas at the outside perimeter of the quilt that are frayed and there is a small stain on the back. Up for sale a beautiful vintage quilt made of all cotton fabric. Hand sewn, in the flower garden pattern. It has an irregular edge, as you'll see below. The damages are basically some stains and some patches that have frayed because they are so old. But the quilt is still in very good shape for its age. Completely usable with a minimum of TLC(in our opinion, but check the photos, please! This quilt has some batting. But it is a thin thing. Probably designed by the folk artists who made it as decoration or to be a bedspread of a girl's bed, or similar purpose, not to get protected from stiff cold. The measurements are approximated. Vintage Hand Sewn GRANDMOTHER'S Cotton QUILT TOP, Hundreds Small Squares 85"x75"
Up for sale this vintage quilt top in the"grandmother's" tradition. Made by hand, sewn by hand, all cotton fabric, some of them probably from real feed sacks, in a beautiful geometric pattern whose name we don't know, so we let it open to you quilters and experts out there to name it. The"hundreds of little squares" form large squares that are 14 1/2" on their sides. Each small square is thumbnail sized. 3/4' on their sides. The swatches of fabric separating the large squares are some of them violet in color, others a nice flowery fabric which looks mostly blue from a distance. Please check our pics for more details. Vintage 1940's or older, Crazy Quilt and sham, unfinished, mostly hand sewn
This pre 1940's Crazy Quilt is unfinished as it does not have batting or final backing. It appears to be mostly hand sewn. It is made of all types of fabrics and maybe some feed sacks. Several of the satin pieces are damaged and are shredding. It is stitched with'turkey tracks' The quilt measures 7 feet by 7 feet. It includes a large pillow sham. That is also unfinished. I inherited these from my great grandmother and have decided to part with them as I do not sew and can not finish them. They were probably made prior to 1942 based on the best memory of my grandmother. She said she remembered her mother quilting when they lived in Ohio. Which was until 1942. She does not remember her quilting after they moved to Texas and ultimately to California. Posted with

Vintage Antique Cotton Fabric QUILT TOP Hand Sewn Stitched
I stumbled across this quilt top and thought it was so pretty. i'm Spring cleaning) I don't know much about quilts. So I'll do my best to decribe. PLEASE bear with me. I'll probably be jumping all over the place to try and explain and type things as they come in my head. Here is a vintage antique quilt top. It's in excellant vintage condition. The fabric still feels kind of crispy. It has been folded with the bright side on the inside so the colors are still pretty bright. There are afew rust spots on the front in a block or two. You really cant' see it because of the colors. I don't know if these can be removed or not. On the back side is what I think is called light storage marks? It appears to be made of old flour sacks or old material. It measures about 75x84. There are 20 blocks that measure about 12-11/16x13 ... moreinches. The strips in between are alittle over 4 inches. All the edges seem to be pretty even. It all seems to be hand stitched. I mean everything. The stiches are so nice and pretty. Whoever put this together sure took pride in making it. There isn't any holes or tears that I can see. I don't even notice any major puckering. I DIDN'T iron this so it is wrinkled. That's what you see in the pictures. If I missed anything please forgive me. I tried my best. Remember. This is just the top part. The quilt isn't done. Would make a nice project to finish. Also. This is an old quilt top. Antique Postage Stamp Quilt Top Over 7,000 One Inch Blocks! Hand Sewn! Amazing!!
First. Let me be clear that I know very little about quilts. This quilt top, along with several other quilts I'm selling came from long term storage in a very nice victorian home sale. It measures 6'5" by 7'8" and at an inch per square, contains over 7,000 squares! Amazing piece of work! Looks to be all hand sewn to me. Here's the damage that I can find; There is a separation between some of the squares on one edge and just inside the edge, in 8 squares(8 inches) Also I found one square with a dark stain on the same side and in 9 squares(9 inches) These detractions are all on the same side and if you made the quilt 9 inches narrower these areas would be gone. Or sacrifice one square along the edge and repair/replace these areas. Please see the pictures of these areas. All else seems clean and in good repair, ready ... moreto be finished. I'm just so impressed with the amount of work put into this quilt top that if it doesn't sell, I'll have it professionally finished and keep it myself or sell it for a higher price. Seems to me that this should be a very valuable quilt top, considering it's age and the amount of work in it. Will be glad to combine shipping. Returns gladly accepted if you are not 100% satisfied.

And is all hand pieced and hand sewn. This quilt top is made with fabrics from the 1940's. It measures a generous approx. 93" x 87" and each hexagon is 2-1/8" from each corner and is in unwashed condition, and no wear, very few small stains, no rips, no fabric splitting or fading. Scattered about are few surface old age oxidation spots that will come out with its first washing. These spots are from decades of being stored and will come out with its first soaking. The stitching throughout are at 8 stitches per inch. The stitches are precise and consistent. This quilt top is ... morea wonderful sewn together work of art.
