Vintage Six Appliqued Doll Quilt, multicolored, made in 1955/56
This auction is for a vintage appliquéd doll quilt made in 1955/56. It measures 19" X 18" There is overall fading due to the age but no tears or holes. This is an interesting quilt as embellishment of beads was unusual during that time. It states on the paperwork that the dog and dog house was made from pockets of a dress. It includes paperwork from the Washington State Historical Society. During the 1980 the Washington State Historical Society documented hundreds of quilts. This is one of them. The quilt was made by Euphemia Ellen Evans Seeley Howard. The quilt is in good condition except for the fading. This is a wonderful piece of history.

EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE APPLIQUED COVERLET 2 PIECE BED/PILLOWS QUILT ROSE OF SHARON?
This is a beautiful hand appliqued 2 piece summer weight coverlet and double pillow sham with large flower designs(rose of sharon? The bed cover is 69" X 84" and the pillow cover is 35" X 69" It is edged with a pink binding I have not found any worn or torn places on these pieces. But there are several small rust colored stains as shown in pic# 7, 8, 9. The creases on the pillow cover appear to be slightly soiled, also. I do not believe that these pieces have ever been laundered(and rarely used) Although I expect that the slightly soiled areas where this was folded would come clean, I have not tried and would not guarantee it. Pic# 4-8 were taken lying on atile floor, which shows through the material. Please examine the pictures closely and ask any questions or request additional pictures. This is a beautiful hand appliqued and hand quilted pink roses quilt. There are roses and rose buds in various shades of pink& peach with a touch of yellow& red. The flowers. Buds and leaves are accented with embroidery. There is some slight discoloration on a few of the folds and a tiny stain in the bottom corner of the back(see photo) These may come out with washing(the quilt has been washed before) It's pastel palete gives it a great shabby chic look and it is in wonderful condition. 1930s HAND APPLIQUED FLORAL QUILT~LOVELY FLORAL DESIGN WITH OUTSTANDING VINING~
This beauty is from the 1930s and comes out of Lancaster County. Pennsylvania. This light weight quilt measures approximately 87 inches by 63 inches, and was most likely made from a kit. The pattern is similar to that of the"Ohio Rose" but don't hold me to that. The more I look through my reference books, the more similar designs I find. This quilt is entirely hand appliqued, except for the narrow yellow chrome colored print border that goes around the interior flowers.that border is machine stitched. The rest of the applique work is meticulously hand done with about 11 to 12 tiny stitches per inch. The quilt was then hand quilted with approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch. There are flowers from solid pink fabrics and chrome yellow prints, including forest green leaves. To set off all of this lovely hand applique, there is ... moreoutstanding floral vining all around, also hand appliqued. The narrow pink binding is machine stitched to the front and hand stitched onto the back. There was no damage seen on the binding. The back is of the same white fabric as used on the front. There is no damage to the backing that I saw.no spots. Stains, holes or tears. I don't think this quilt was used much. If at all. I saw no damage to the top, back, or the binding.no stains, spots, tears, or holes. In my opinion, it is in pristine condition. I have carefully laundered this quilt and it will come to you from a smoke free home.it's ready for immediate use.you won't be disappointed. 1800s Worn Drunkards Path(like) and Stars Quilt AMAZING. I had it viewed at a speciality antique textile auction(Clars) and was told it dates late 1850s-60's. Turkey red. White, cream and orangey beige. It has been re-bound and the expert agreed that the re-binding is likely of the 1920's or 1930s. Measures 66" x 77" This quilt is in very worn shape. But wouldn't you be too if you were 140-160+ years old? It is mostly evenly worn, but I zero'ed in on the worst damage. See pic's. Sweet vintage child's quilt features 13 appliqued bunnies with hand embroidered details. One bunny is hand appliqued. The rest are machine appliqued. Tied with yellow, blue and pink yarn. The bunny blocks are about 9 inches tall and 7.5 inches wide, they are set with pink rectangles 9 x 5" measurements vary slightly within the quilt. There is a brownish beige stain in the upper left hand corner that goes thru all the layers. This quilt has some wear and fading but is still in very good shape for the age.

Vintage 1930s Hand-Appliqued Quilt Large 97" x 80" two-sided cutter! This is a beautiful quilt done in a pink and green motif with blue background. There are 12 motifs that can be used for pillows or any other repurpose.easily cut from this quilt because it is divided into perfect squares. The designs are all hand-appliqued- lots and lots of work! And there is quite a bit of quilting. But if that's not enough. Turn it over and you'll see a very pretty pink and white stripe design on the back. You can choose which side you want. The quilt has the usual issues for a cutter- light fading in places. Offered is a sweet doll quilt from between the 1940 and 1950s which is done in a solid aqua and an aqua floral print fabric. All on a white ground. This light weight"The Colonial Lady" pattern quilt measures approximately 23 inches by 21 inches, with very nicely done applique work. The quilt is hand quilted with approximately 7 to 8 even stitches per inch. The center design measures approximately 10 inches by 8 inches, and to set her off, she is framed with a one inch wide checkerboard design. Her neck area, arms and the little nosegay flowers are hand painted. The border outside of the checkerboard design is hand quilted in a one inch grid while the area around the lady is quilted with a floral design. You are bidding on a handmade vintage used appliqued baby quilt/ crib cover in the Sun Bonnet Sue pattern. The quilt measures 63 X 42 inches. The dolls are made of pastel colored prints and the applique stitching is in very good condition. The quilt pieces were put together with a white muslin material and hand stitched quilting with white thread. There are a few stains and small cuts in the muslin which I have tried to show in the pictures. I would judge this collectible item to be in very good condition for the age and considering it was used. This was my baby quilt. It is 68 years old and has been in storage for many. Many, years. Vintage antique 1930's 1940's appliqued baby quilt- Girl & Boy Easter Bunnies-
For your consideration is this vintage baby quilt from the 1930's or 1940's. It is done in a white background with large appliqued Boy and Girl Easter Bunnies all over it. One little Girl Bunny is playing soccer. One Boy Bunny is jumping. Etc. The bunnies look to be made from a printed cotton fabric and were cut out and appliqued onto the quilt. As least that is what it looks like to me. The backing and the binding are done is a pale green cotton. The quilt is in clean and nice condition with no spots, stains, odors, tears, etc. The only issue that the quilt has is that the cotton batting inside has dissolved somewhat through the year and has migrated to the corners of the quilt somewhat. Not that the corners or the quilt are neccessarily lumpy but the quilt is more of a summer type quilt at this point. The quilt is hand pieced and hand sewn with fabrics from the 1850's. It measures a generous 89'x 89' square and is in good unwashed condition. With few old age brown spots scattered about, that will come out with its first soaking. A long soaking should be a good idea because this quilt has been stored away for decades. The stitching throughout is at 6 stitches per inch with straight line and grid stitching, and cable wreath motifs. There is fading to the once green appliques that now is olive in color. 23 vintage pieced and appliqued star quilt blocks 1930's era
Fun group of 23 star quilt blocks from the 1930's. Came from an Iowa estate auction Stars were pieced by machine and hand appliqued to 11 3/4" square pieces of cream color cotton. They were basted to the cotton before being appliqued and basting stitches are still there. Blocks have never been used or laundered. Some of the blocks have faint storage soil which a light soak will surely make short work of Applique work was quite nicely done in black thread I ship Mondays. The quilt top measures 68" by 84" The quilt top is four blocks wide and five blocks long. for a total of 20 hand- appliqued blocks in the Dresdren Plate pattern. You are buying a vintage Sunbonnet Sue appliqued finished quilt in as is condition. This quilt has beautiful colors. Lots of calicos and feedsack type prints, appears hand appliqued and hand quilted. It looks like each little girl is of a different fabric with what appears to be hand embroidery and applique. There is a small hole about as big around as a pencil(see picture of blue block photo 9) and one tiny stain smaller than a pencil eraser, on the front, one on the underside at edge. This is 79" x 94" It is well made and has real nice colors. It shows a little bit of wear. Especially around the edges, and there are some yellowish stains on it. I did not try to clean this at all. It measures 69" x 82" It features pretty Southern Bells that are hand appliqued with feedsack prints. They are each hand embroidered as well and their heels match the color of the dress! The sashing is purple and yellow. It is hand quilted at 7 stitches per inch. There is 1.5" grid work throughout the quilting. Freshly hand laundered. Beautiful antique, vintage hand appliqued and quilted colorful butterfly quilt
Very beautiful antique or vintage quilt. The age guestimates from customers and friends at my Maryville TN antique shop estimated from the 1930s to 1950s. We did all agree that its all hand made. Hand appliqued and hand quilted. Its a thinner type cotton batting. There are some issues with this quilt. I noticed fabric damage to 3 of the blocks although all of the butterfly appliques appear to be fine. I showed the damage so look closely at pictures. Also, there is some color fade, I assume from the black fabric used on the butterflies in several places. I did not wash this quilt. It does not have any offensive smells. Measures approx 76 inches by 68 inches. Its very colorful. Has 25 blocks and lots of colors used. I am not an expert on quilts, but did try to describe it honestly. If you have questions please ask. The binding is straight, applied. Unsure of the batting, appraiser says probably polyester. The fabrics used are cotton prints. Colors predominant are black, red, green, white. We are offering at auction a striking white and red hand appliqued quilt. It is as found and the overall condition is vintage good. It has been lovingly used and has some minor age wear. It is clean and could be used as a bed cover on a vintage bed or it also could be used for display. The fabrics are cotton and the applique work is hand stitched and it is hand quilted with 8 stitches to the inch. The red flower print used for the applique blocks is wonderful. The back is a white cotton. It is truly a vintage treasure which has some vintage wear and minor spots from storage. There is also some minor fading in one of the blocks. This wear is shown in the pictures. These minor flaws are not detracting and to be expected for the early vintage. Antique/Vintage 1930's Pastel 6 Point Star Quilt Hand Appliqued & Quilted
This auction is for a beautiful multi color pastel applique 6 point star quilt from ca 1930 or 1940 that is all hand appliqued& quilted. It has white a background with that wonderful 1930's fabric for the stars and then blue binding. It measures 70"X82" and has damage in one corner. See pictures. Other than that, I can't find any wear or soil on this quilt. The quilting is amazing with 7 tiny, even stitches per inch that cover the entire quilt. It must have been safely stored in a trunk most of it's life, but it has been washed. I hate to let it go but I am running out of room. Antique? Vtg UFO 18" Pa.Dutch TULIP and HEART Quilt Block HAND-Appliqued+Quilted
Antique Vintage Primitive Folk-Art UFO HAND Applique Pennsylvania Dutch TULIP and HEART in a Scalloped Wreath. It was found in Lancaster County. Pa. over 20 years ago, but I'm not sure of it's actual age. This project consists of one 18 inch finished quilted block that just needs to be trimmed down and a binding of your choice put on. The hand-applique work is very nice and nearly invisible. The colors are RED. GREEN for the leaves, stems and scalloped wreath and BLUE accents on unbleached muslin. A light-weight poly batt was used. See the last pix for a close-up of the hand-quilting work on the back. There is one water spot on the back corner as shown in pix#8. International bidders welcome. Auction is for a beautiful Hand Quilted Quilt. I don't know the name of the pattern. Red and yellow print fabric on a muslin background. Backing is muslin. I am not sure. Because the stitching is so fine, but a think some of the design is appliqued. Quilt size is approximately 80" x 96" Quilt is hand-quilted and machine and hand stitched. Simply exquisite hand-quilting. Beautiful design. Quilting pencil marks are still visible. No holes. Not sure of the age of this quilt. Quilt has several areas of stain as indicated in pictures. You can see where quilt was folded and one area is much darker. Very thin batting. Overall. An amazing quilt. Quilt definitely needs a good cleaning/soaking but then.
