Formerly held in a collection and kept ... morein ideal storage conditions this one emerges in superb vintage condition. Nice and clean with the exception of one spot that can be seen in the last photo. Nothing to stop you from enjoying this one. The striking pattern is full of tiny little details that make it most appealing to the eye. The paper tag on one corner is a sale tag from long ago. This coverlet has no sign of a makers tag. The overall size is 78 X 94 inches. This is a very well made and light weight cotton coverlet. Hard to tell which side is the best as it views nicely on both sides. The scalloped border is nicely finished with a square knot type stitched edge. Fine design detailing in the pattern. CONDITION: Just a few thread pulls that are hard to fnd and one spot that looks removable on one corner to worry about. Otherwise. It is in great condition and very soft and strong. It does not appear to have been used much. There are no rips, tears or areas of wear to note. Nice uniform consistency overall with no evidence of thinning or weakness in the fibers. The colors are uniform. The condition of the fabrics is excellent. There is a no odor to this coverlet and it does not appear to have been exposed to smoke. Pets or abuse. It looks as if it has been kept from over exposure to sunlight. It has been very well cared for over the years. It has been carefully stored away from pets and in a smoke free clean environment. I don't believe the quilt has ever been laundered and possibly never used. The white fabric of the quilt is muslin- more than likely feed/flour sacking. Overall size is 70-1/4" x 78" The star.Itself, measures 53" Making up the star,is a combination of solid cotton fabrics in a well-designed laid out colors scheme. It is a striking quilt. Each diamond shaped piece used in the star is 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" The stitching is 8 stitches to the inch. There are three patterns of quilting used on the quilt. The green border, measuring 5-1/8" wide, is quilted in a diamond pattern, as is the inner border of white. A pattern developed around the larger star, are four quilted smaller stars measuring 14-1/4" square. Each of these stars are situated on a"corner" Alternating with these stars and the points of the large star, are triangle shaped quilting motif. Take a good look at the qult as I think you will notice this lovely design. Edges of the quilt are turned inward and machine stitched. Condition: Although stored for many years, you will find a tad(just a tad) of oxidation and a tiny tiny damaged area in one of the colored blocks. In my opinion, I feel it was caught on something. Certainly does not appear to be weakness of fabric. This treasure from the past, I feel would not be a disappointment. Please contact me if more information is needed. Vintage Cotton TEXAS STAR of BETHLEHEM Coverlet Quilt Blanket Pink Antique Woven
This beautiful vintage woven coverlet from the 1930s has been in hiding for a very long time and needs to be seen. Formerly held in a collection and kept in ideal storage conditions this one emerges in superb vintage condition. Nice and clean with the exception of one spot that can be seen in the last photo. Nothing to stop you from enjoying this one. The striking pattern is full of tiny little details that make it most appealing to the eye. The paper tag on one corner is a sale tag from long ago. This coverlet has no sign of a makers tag. The overall size is 78 X 94 inches. This is a very well made and light weight cotton coverlet. Hard to tell which side is the best as it views nicely on both sides. The scalloped border is nicely finished with a square knot type stitched edge. Fine design detailing in the pattern. CONDITION: Just a few ... morethread pulls that are hard to fnd and one spot that looks removable on one corner to worry about. Otherwise. It is in great condition and very soft and strong. Just one diamond patch repeated forms the star. The quilt top is hand pieced as well as mostly machine sewn with fabrics from the 1930's. The stitches are precise and consistent. This quilt TOP is in very good unwashed condition. With a few old age brown oxidation storage spots, and no wear, no rips, no fabric splitting. Vintage Antique Texas Star Quilt Top Cotton Depression Era Fabric
STAR QUILT TOP This is a quilt top ready for you to finish. It looks to have been made in the 1930s or so. The pattern is a six-pointed star made of multi-colored pieces of cotton fabric in various patterns held together with right yellow diamond shaped pieces of cotton. This quilt top measures 78 x 94 1/2" and is shown on a queen size bed. It is lovely and could be expanded to fit any size bed by simply making the binding bigger. Please note: This is an unfinished quilt- only the top. The sides are not finished. To make a quilt. You'll need to add a back and filling then put binding around the edges. 1930's Depression Era Quilt Texas Lone Star Hand Stitched Quilt Here is a wonderful Depression(1930's-1940's) era hand quilted quilt in the Texas Star- Lone Star pattern. I don't believe the quilt has ever been laundered and possibly never used. The white fabric of the quilt is muslin- more than likely feed/flour sacking. Overall size is 70-1/4" x 78" The star.Itself, measures 53" Making up the star,is a combination of solid cotton fabrics in a well-designed laid out colors scheme. It is a striking quilt. Each diamond shaped piece used in the star is 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" The stitching is 8 stitches to the inch. There are three patterns of quilting used on the quilt. The green border, measuring 5-1/8" wide, is quilted in a diamond pattern, as is the inner border of white. A pattern developed around ... morethe larger star, are four quilted smaller stars measuring 14-1/4" square. Each of these stars are situated on a"corner" Alternating with these stars and the points of the large star, are triangle shaped quilting motif. Take a good look at the qult as I think you will notice this lovely design. Edges of the quilt are turned inward and machine stitched. Condition: Although stored for many years, you will find a tad(just a tad) of oxidation and a tiny tiny damaged area in one of the colored blocks. In my opinion, I feel it was caught on something. I am also including a few of my quilts from my personal collection! Most of these came out of an antique cedar chest and had been tucked away from the world for years. There were crazy quilts. This quilt dates pre civil war era and the quality of the stitching is just stunning. I believe that this quilt has several names but some would call it the"Rising Star" Pride of Texas" Star of Stars" ... moreThe large feathered stars are made up of the prettiest colors- all very typical of the 1800's time period. Bright turkey reds. Mustard yellows, calico pinks and green fabrics as well as a soft tan in tiny triangles are put together to form the stars. There are square blocks inbetween each star that has the exquisite Trapunto quilting. There are flowers, leaves, berries and ferns all stuffed and superbly quilted. Tiny Tiny Stitches that are 10-12 per inch. The other beautiful thing about this quilt- it is HUGE! It measures a generous 96" x 96" Eight feet Square! Wow- Please check out the border too- it features a small flower with a faded chambray base and a turkey red flower. All this surrounded by the beautiful trapunto quilting. This quilt has been cleaned and soaked. It has some light staining as pictured which does not detract from the overall beauty of the quilt. It has some fabrics that show wear- mostly the tan and green fabrics. The tan is in the center of each star and the green was used on the outside parameter of the star. You are viewing a vintage Lone Star of Texas quilt. This quilt measures approximately 72 inches by 72 inches. And it is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted. The background is a cream color, and the star is vibrant shades of gold, greens, pinks, lavenders. A few of the gold pieces in the center need to be replaced, and easy fix for you quilters out there. The edges are trimmed with matching fabrics of those in the star itself. The quilt is heavily hand quilted with close, tight stitches. Aside from the few pieces that need to be replaced, this quilt is in excellent condition. It is about 72" x 80" the colors remind me of Mexican tile accented with rich blue, terra cotta offset blocks and earthtone brown binding and back. I could find no signs of wear, no holes, tears, spots, stains, great crisp texture, fresh and clean. It is 8 squares by 9 squares, and the blocks are 9" squares. The machine quilting is done is a swirling design that is so extensive, a lot of swirls, it must have been done by a true perfectionist. This is a true show-stopper. Measuring 72 x 73. All vintage scraps including lots of sweet feedsacks for the star. The star is prairie-style pieced into a huge attention-demanding lone star that really"pops" out at you against the solid white background framed in royal blue. Fun lot of 34 antique Star. Cotton quilt blocks done in dots or white with great variety of old indigo color cottons. All are hand stitched and came from an Iowa estate auction This pattern goes by several names including Texas Star. Tippecanoe and Tyler Too, Texas, Eastern Star and Shoofly to name a few. Fabric is sturdy and strong. Colors bright with no fading or wear 26 of the squares are 9 1/2 x 9 1/2" and have a creamy color tiny polka dot cotton along with various designs of indigo. They have stitching marks on the edges. Some have faint storage soil. One has white cotton squares attached on two sides. 8 of the squares have a plain white cotton background along with the various indigoes. Large ca 1870 Texas or Bethlehem Star quilt, hand quilted @ 10 SPI, no reserve
Offered here without reserve is this large(92" x 91" Texas or Bethlehem Star quilt. All hand quilted at 10 SPI. The fabrics, all dating to ca 1870, are in perfect condition. no rips, holes, tears or repairs. There is one small stain as shown in my 8th picture and the hint of storage discoloration to the top side- essentially too subtle for me to capture with my camera. There is, though, somewhat more obvious discoloration from storage to the backside, so the quilt could probably use a cleaning- something I'm not equipped or knowledgeable enough to do on my own. Make no mistake, however: This is a truly spectacular quilt and can readily be shown and displayed as is. So again, there is no reserve but buyer pays $20 for domestic USPS shipping.

Up for your consideration today is a VTG Hand Made/Sewn Texas Star/Butterfly Quilt Lap/Wall Hanging 47" X 47" I have been collecting vintage linens& items for decades and am starting to part with some of them! Please check out my other auctions for combined shipping! This is in good used vintage condition with No Holes. Rips or tears. There is some spotting on the back and on one of the butterflies(I have shown these in the pictures) This is hand pieced and machine quilted. I took pictures on my King size bed to help visualize the size. I have not cleaned this, I'll leave that to the new owner, please see tips below! Linens should be washed in warm water and gentle detergent with a final cold rinse. Bleach may be used on whites to brighten. Antique linens-use very sparingly& soak. One tablespoon of bleach will sanitize a full wash load. Soaking whites for an hour in detergent& a bit of bleach will help remove stains and then give a gentle wash. Repeated washing sometimes helps lighten stubborn stains with gentle agitation. A 1/5 mix of Fibergard Javex mixed with water and dabbed with a Qtip on tiny spots sometimes helps. Oxy Clean sometimes works wonders but do not use on thin or fine linens. Be careful. Stain removers and rubbing will destroy your vintage linens. Antique fabrics such as lace should Not be washed. It will speed up deterioration. Soak, no agitation. Rust specks: A very good rust remover is Whink, only available in the USA. Embroidered and crocheted linens need extra gentle care. Launder on gentle cycle only or hand wash. Gentleness will maintain the delicate embroidery stitches. Iron by pressing or gently stretch the damp fabric for a sm

For your consideration: Lot of 5 coordinating star blocks handmade expertly by machine with quality quilt shop fabrics. The colors are neutral beige& camel. Navy and a rusty red closer to cranberry then burgundy. The background white fabric has a pale gold floral pattern running through it. I have taken a close up of the border fabrics. Each block 13 1/4" square. Fabric appears to have been new and unwashed at time of construction. Blocks appears to have been well stored and are free of stains or holes. Gorgeous Vintage Texas Star All Cotton Quilt w Hand Stitched Quilting 82 x 82 in
This is a vintage all cotton Texas Star quilt measuring 82" x 82" It is all hand stitched except for the border. Which is machine stitched. It has a beautiful mixture of colors- orange, red, yellow, blue, a slight turquoise old fashion look green on white. This displays great at first glance but when closely examined it is only about fair shape and shows general moderate wear to the fabric. One block has a worn damaged hole in the block- it is maybe quarter size and is only on the top- doesn't extend to the underside of the quilt. The orange bias tape binding has fraying around the edges. There are a few soiled spots- the worst is a streak of soiling an inch or two long that look like it would spot out. Several other little spots from pinhead to eraser head size. The back of the quilt has an indistinct area of soiling- this ... moreis several inches in diameter-and some minor yellowing. Very pretty quilt just needs a little patching and quilting. Always happy to combine but if you would like to combine please wait to pay until you are all through and receive my final combined invoice. New bidders may combine for up to two weeks. Lovely Texas Star/Lone Star Quilt- Hand Made/Hand Quilted-Vibrant Colors
Gorgeous Texas Lone Star quilt. Vibrant colors. White background with large Texas Lone Star. Hand made. Hand quilted. Beautifully made with small. Uniform hand quilted stitches. Has a star quilted on the white fabric on the 4 corners. Most quilt pieces are cotton with some heavier fabric like a light weight denim. Light weight batting. Quilt doesn't look like it has been used hardly at all. But there is a stain on the top of the quilt-pic#11. And an age soiling line on the white backing where it was folded-last pic. I have not laundered it. Don't know the age of this quilt-not real old. Measures approximately 87" x 75" Pictured on a queen size bed. This is a lovely Texas Lone Star quilt. White background with large Texas Lone Star. Hand made. Hand quilted. All fabrics in the quilt are strong except for the fabric shown in pic#6. This is a silkier fabric and didn't stand up to the test of time. Quilt has an inside border. This fabric and the binding fabric are the same. Has little purple tulips on it. Binding is slightly frayed along all 4 sides of the quilt. Last picture shows the worst area. Border is also frayed in this area. This must have been the top of the quilt that received the most wear and tear from use. Measures approximately 92" x 89" Pictured on a queen size bed. White backing. Has been freshly laundered and line dried. Very pretty and colorful. Will make a great display. My pictures don't do it justice. THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Here is a vintage Texas Star quilt. This quilt comes in nice shape. No holes and shows little to no signs of use. The edge of this quilt is unique which sets this one apart from other Texas Star quilts. Note, the red center is made up of two different colors of red. I'm uncertain if the maker ran out of material or if this is a repair. The reds are close, but they are not a perfect match. This item is hand made, their may be minor imperfections as this is not brand new and not made in a factory setting. This item does have staining on the underneath side.
