Vintage Antique Log Cabin Quilt Hand Pieced Beautiful Colors
Here we have a beautiful log cabin quilt with wonderful colors and a stunning pattern. I think the it dates to the teens or twenties. The fabrics are all light weight wools and cotton prints. It measures app. 80" x 82" overall. The pieces are all hand sewn and it has not been top quilted. The backing is a great paisley print and it feels like there is no batting inside. There are several tiny holes throughout the quilt. I have photographed the worst damage. The quilt is still vis ually stunning. The s titch ing is strong and it is holding together well. This DIVINE Vintage WEDDING RING Quilt is done in Classic Pastel Brights fabrics that serve as the piecework and an ivory-cream muslin that serves as the base cloth and backing All-cotton 1920's-40's prints are primarily florals with a handful of stripes. Plaids, checks, solids and geometrics thrown in for good measure. The quilt is hand-pieced and hand-quilted. Quilting was done at 7 spi in the forms of outline, a horizontal line dissecting all pieces in the ovals, a grid at the junctions of the circles, a double-leaf with a circle in the center on the oval pieces, and a large double circular flower with four half-triangles and four leaves. The gold binding was applied by hand. The quilt measures 75" xx 64" and has thin cotton batting. Only a handful of blemishes to be found.They include a couple pinhead-size specks of ... morerust, one rust spot the size of a pencil-tip-eraser, a 1.5" x.3" cluster of light spots, a 1.5" streak along a seam and four VERY light spots the size of a quarter or more. There is some overall irregular light yellowing throughout and there are two ovals that appear a little darker than the others.one is in the center and one is on a corner. The quilt backing also has some light irregular yellowing throughout along with a 1.5" square rust area, two nickel-size rust areas, a one-inch square rust are and a pinhead-size spot. The spots are not dark. There is no wear evident. I am not certain of the age of this WONDERFUL quilt.anytime 1930's-40's is likely. NICELY QUILTED Hand Stitched Vintage 30's Dresden Plate Antique Quilt! This BEAUTIFUL cotton 20's/30's dresden plate quilt is hand pieced and quilted. With beautiful vintage prints. It measures Approx 78" X 89" and is in Very Good condition. A few small, light stains. I have not tried to clean it. Smells nice and clean. The quilting is SUPERB. With quilting around the perimeter of each piece and in grid and deco/floral designs in the background, all at an even 10 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched binding are solid Whit e. This quilt has seen better days. It is fraying around the edges and there are some large stains which may or may not come out. I have not tried any stain removal and will leave that up to the buyer. It has great feed sack fabric. But is worn through in some places. The backing is solid purple. The edges are scalloped. The hand quilting is quite fine, tiny stitches. I believe feedsacks as well but am no expert and will let you be the judge. Striping in blue with red squares. It is all hand quilted. Backed in a wonderful cotton fabric in white. Navy blue and red with birds leaves and geometric medallion designs. It is a medium or heavy weight winter quilt. The quilt top is in excellent condition, I noticed just a couple of small faint spots. The back has some repairs around the edge. The repairs are machine stitched and it looks as though it was done before the back was put on. The edge stitching was not undone anywhere and the machine repair stitching does not go threw to the front. There are also a a few small holes just started around ... morethe edge. CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This vintage Dresden Plate quilt is probably from the 1930's& all hand sewn. It has a beautiful layout& design. does not appear used. Quarter sections are shown, to see the details better. It measures 88" by 88" overall, pink is the main color. There are 25 plates, that were sewn inside 16" squares. It was hand quilted at 5-8 spi, with beautiful crosshatch& swirl designs. The back is white, the binding was hand sewn. There is a 5" ice cream cone border, that goes all around. It has thin batting. It has been washed& lays flat. Excellent condition with no flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. A beautiful antique quilt. Not sure how old, put together on white and yellow fabric forming squares, with hand stitching and some needlework in the details of each Sue. We made pics of almost each block, maybe 3 or 4 are missing. then we also made several detailed, close-up photos of the Sunbonnet Sue that is on the right foreground corner on our general photo below, so you can see the details of the sewing and the needlework on this particular piece(but each Sue has the same needlework, so that you know) Each large block is 17" by 17" Give or take. Each Sue is 13" tall. The quilt is approximately 90" by 72" The bed used for the pics is a queen size that measures, give or take, 80" by 60" The quilt has some damage on the top. Some on the back. Antique Vintage Hand Quilted Flower Basket Quilt Dated
Very interesting flower basket quilt. All blocks have a name stitched on it. Some have the date 1934. I would assume some ladies had some fun while they put this together. Second picture shows an age spot. Quilt is in pretty good shape other than fading. The back is pink and is faded. All the quilts I have listed are totally hand stitched. My what time it took! Vintage feedsack crib quilt hand quilted has wear 1930's era Double Nine Patch
Sweet. Vintage Double Nine Patch crib quilt from the 1930's made mostly of feed sack cotton. It measures 38 x 42" and is hand quilted Batting is thin. Backing is white cotton. Hand quilted in squares at 4 to 5"up" stitches to the inch. Most of the fabric is feedsack cotton including a cute novelty print of a mother cat and kittens. Quilt has been used and is faded. No stains. No holes all the way thru. Binding edges are worn. See one small 9 patch square where fabric has worn away to the batting and one large double nine patch square in a corner where a lot has worn to the batting- see second to last photo. Antique/Vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden Hand Stitched Handmade 82"x80" Quilt
Up fo r auction is this wonderful Vintage/Antique hand stitched/handmade quilt. The quilt is done in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It measures 82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. Offered is a set of three(3) heart hangers I've made from a beautiful 1880s crazy quilt. I've chosen some beautiful hand painted and whimsical hand embroidered scenes with a"summer" feel to them. Each heart measures approximately 8 inches wide by about 7 inches tall. And has a black satin ribbon hanger.they are each firmly plumped with new premium filberfil. The backs of the hearts are from the same crazy quilt, and just as beautiful! There are two(2) hearts that have exceptional and detailed hand painting.these ladies that lived over 130 years ago were so very talented! To the heart with the detailed hand painted heron I've tacked on a hang tag that reads"Summertime and the Livin' is Easy" This can easily be snipped off if it is not to your liking. To the other heart with the exquisite hand painted water ... morelily. I've added a vintage little turtle pin. He is sitting on a lily pad, also hand painted, and slowly making his way to the flower! This turtle has a light brown enameled textured shell and sparkly green rhinestone eyes. His head, feet, and tail are a gold tone metal. This darling pin measures about 1.5 inches by 1 inch, and is not signed. If you'd like to set the turtle free, you can remove it and wear it yourself, or give as a gift! VINTAGE Textile patchwork Silk& Satin Quilt Measures approx.73” x 85” Each square started as 12" but is now 11 1/2" Some top hand embroidery(feather stitch) but not as much as a true crazy quilt.Wonderful vivid colors. This came straight from an estate sale so I have not washed or ironed this piece especially since it is mostly made of silks& satin. Many vintage pieces of satin. And other fancy silks that were so popular in the late Victorian era have been treasured and preserved. Many of the silk fabrics used in quilts are weighted with mineral salts and other substances. This means the fabrics have been coated with, or have actually absorbed, these substances to give them more weight and a stiffer texture. Unfortunately, weighting substances also speed up the fabric's deterioration. Silk is extremely susceptible to ... morelight damage. Which can be seen in brittleness, splits, and the eventual powdering of the yarns. Sometimes, even though a piece of silk may appear in perfect condition, it can be extremely fragile. Vintage 1930s Irish Chain Baby Quilt Top Just Adorable! What a sweet quilt top! Lots of work went into this treasure with all the tiny pieces. The top measures approx. 34" long x 24" wide. You may want to add sashing and borders to make it bigger. All hand-pieced. Many tiny squares were neatly sewn together in a 9-patch design to make an Irish Chain pattern. A colorful variety of delicate pastel prints and solids coordinate beautifully against an off-white background. Check out the pictures to see for yourself! Each 9-patch block measures 3" And the tiny squares are 7/8" VERY SMALL! There are some issues. It has been packed away. And there are a few storage stains and small flecks. In one area there are 2 large water spots where it may have gotten wet. Maybe a good soak would remove some of this. Fabulous Antque Quilt This charming quilt was a gift many many years ago but I have decided to simplify my life and so I am offering it up for sale The quilt is complely handsewn and hand quilted. The squares measure about 1 5/8"by 1 5/8" and there are aproximently 8/10 stiches per inch. The backing on the quilt is one solid piece of vintage cotton material. The color of the backing is a deep cranberry red with a very small black design. The quilt measures 75" by 84" This size would be perfect for a double or maybe a queen size bed. The condition of the quilt top is excellent. The condition of the quilt backing is good but not perfect. There is one medium/small stain and a small bit of material damage in that area(picture included) I do not know the exact age of this quilt but I guesstimate it to be 100 years old. Offered for sale is a beautiful hand-pieced and hand quilted square quilt with blocks made in the"Pinwheel" design. Beautifully pieced and hand quilted with tiny stitches. This quilt is a stunner! It has plenty of quilting on it- each edge is"feather stitched" which is a very elaborate quilting design. The edging is hand applied and is a pretty bright pink with small blue flowers. This quilt was kept in a trunk and is in beautiful condition! You can still make out the faint pencil lines for the quilting patterns. Early Vintage Unused Hand-pieced PATCHWORK QUILT TOP Feedsack Search Antique Feedsack Quilt Top This vintage patchwork quilt top came from an estate auction in Ephrata. Pennsylvania, it is machine stitched and made of a variety of old fabrics-there are old stripes. Tiny plaids, ginghams, checks, floral, ticking, even some old flannel and more. There is no rhyme or reason to the patches in each of the 30 large blocks of the quilt; however the pieces inside each block do complement each other and have a separate pattern than each of the other blocks. It was constructed using old newspaper patterns as some bits of the paper were sewn into the seams and some of it is still stuck in the stitching and can be seen on the reverse side. It is a generous 82" x 72" and has beautiful muted colors in great combinations. Fabric is crisp a nd ... morebright and is in fabulous condition with no rips. Tears or stains and will arrive clean and ready to be made into a great quilt. ANTIQUE OCEAN WAVES QUILT VINTAGE PRIMITIVE SHIRTINGS HAND QUILTED TURKEY RED
This is a beautiful antique. Primitive quilt. I believe it is a variation of the Ocean Waves pattern. If you know another name for it, please feel free to comment. The size is 72x76. It is pictured on a queen sized bed. It has been hand pieced and hand quilted, in a truly"make-do" fashion. Many of the triangles are, themselves, pieced. It is quilted with brown thread in single parallel lines, going the length(76" of the quilt. The quilting is utilitarian with long, widely spaced stitches, as this quilt is quite thick and heavy. It wouldn't surprise me if the"batting" is an even older worn out quilt. The fabrics are cotton. There are homespuns, shirtings and a couple of flannels. The backing is homespun. The binding was done by bringing the backing to the front and stitching it to the top. I will describe the condition ... moreas well as I can. There is some age fading of a couple of the red fabrics. There is a small paint smear on one square. There are a few repairs along some seams. There are a couple small holes in the border. It needs to be washed. These condition problems are minor. In my opinion, and do not distract from the overall impact and displayability of this quilt. The quilt and fabrics are still sturdy, and the colors are strong and vibrant. Please note. As stated above, this quilt is quite heavy. It weights 7 lbs. without box and packing) Also it is not from a non-smoking home, though I don't notice any odors.

Vintage Hand Stitched 9 Patch Quilt Top Make a Quilt or Use for Craft& Christmas Projects Age and quilter are unknown Quilt Top is hand pieced quilt with large squares being machine sewn to gray. I believe the majority of the 9 patch squares are feedsack with some shirting and assorted cottons. Now some of the feedsack looks really old- like the darker reds and some navy. App 80" x 68" squares measure just over 3x3 with full 9 patch square at app 10x10 I held the top up to the sunlight to search for holes and found none! There are some strings here and there that look like wrinkles in the quilt top but the wind made it so hard to get smooth photos. There is some age staining but I didn't laundered the top& it has no odor The last photo should show the back of the quilt with some hangover from the clothesline. Welcome to my auction. This auction is for a vintage Orange And Blue Bowtie quilt. It has nice bright colors. It is hand quilted and nicely made. It is a light weight quilt. It measures 73” x 83” The backing is white. It is in good condition with a few minor flaws. There is a tiny hole about ¼” in diameter and a few spots/stains. I have not tried to clean it. So I have no idea what might or might not wash out. The stains are more noticeable on the back of the quilt. The colors in the close up pictures are more true colors as the full picture of the quilt the sun makes It look washed out. It is not. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. Nice vibrant colorful patchwork with the same fabric repeated in a stripe at the top and bottom of the quilt. The quilt has a mauve lilac inside border and outside edge trim that is also used in the patchwork pattern as well as in the center of the star. Please note that the top and backing are a uniform yellow color which is a deeper yellow in person than what I was able to capture despite several attempts. not touched up at all) I am not a expert on quilts. But I believe this to be an older quilt; the batting is quite thin as I have seen in other older quilts; it is quilted by hand and has lots of it. Looks to be in very good, clean, condition ... morewith no odors or fraying noted; there appears to be two white spots on one end(shown in the photos) possibly bleach but it does not go through to the backing at all; small light mark which may wash out- as found and I did not try to remove it. see the photos with the penny- it is the same light mark) If you look really closely, you may find another mark as it is pre-owned, but certainly nothing major and nothing that I noticed.
