Vintage Six Pointed Star Doll Quilt, multicolored, made in 1955/56
This auction is for a vintage six pointed star doll quilt made in 1955/56. It measures 20" X 19" There is overall fading due to the age but no tears or holes. It includes paperwork from the Washington State Historical Society. During the 1980 the Washington State Historical Society documented hundreds of quilts. This is one of them. The quilt was made by Euphemia Ellen Evans Seeley Howard. The quilt is in good condition except for the fading. This is a wonderful piece of history.

Vintage 8 pt star block quilt-Dk Green/Gold--walnut hull dyed backing-70x80"
It is a shame that someone did not think enough of this old quilt to protect it. I t was f ound in an attic. Folded and the sun has faded part of it. No one ever bound it either. The top has some good blocks in it that could be used for framing. You can see some of them has the faded places on them but the majority of them are good. The backing was walnut hull d ye d and most of it is gone. It was hand pieced and has very nice hand quilting. It has ol d brown cotton batting. This is a local West Tenn. attic find. Hope whoever buys this will give it the love it deserves. Beautiful colors in this old quilt. All items I sell are vintage and will reflect that condition. Primitive Folk Art Patriotic Table Mat Rustic Star Patchwork Pieced and quilted table mat was stitched entirely by hand. Made using cotton and homespun that has been aged by over dying. Warm and Natural(cotton) batting was sandwiched between the patchwork top and the cotton backing. Could be used all year. But appropriate for the upcoming patriotic holidays. VINTAGE LONE STAR QUILT
This is a nice 1940's lone star quilt. Good mix of solid and print cottons and a few feedsacks. Lots of color. Still quite vibrant, reds are bright, cheddars are sharp. The diamonds are hand pieced and every other row is hand quilted along two sides. The rest of the quilt is hand quilted in lines 1" apart. 7spi. The front of the quilt isnt a common green. Not chartruese, more of a pea soup green or yellowish green? Backing is peach cotton. Batting is cotton. A seperate thin peach binding was hand cut and closed by hand. No wear to the binding or any of the fabrics. Very clean, just a few pin head spots here and there. Very Nice Antique Lemoyne Star Quilt! 1895-1905, Soft, Subtle Fabrics & Colors
Classic Antique Lemoyne Star Quilt. 1895– 1905. Soft Subtle Fabrics& Colors This beautiful old quilt is 62 x 78 inches in size. It is hand stitched and hand quilted with an average of 7 SPI. The background fabric on the front is cream colored with a tiny cinnamon shirting type print. The border fabric. Also used on the bars between the rows of stars and between each star is a ditsy print in cinnamon and pink. The fabrics used for the 101 squares- and stars within- are a wonderful mixture of many different vintage small prints in various shades of red and pink plus gray. Black, gold, brown, cream and just a little blue and green The backing is natural muslin The binding is a small print in maroon and green. In most respects this quilt is in very nice condition for its age. There is some light color fading in the binding fabric. But no ... morefraying. There are a few small age or storage spots which are difficult to see because of the many prints. There is also some fabric popping in about 12 of the small squares with stars. This seems to have occurred mostly with one particular brown& black mourning print. It looks like this quilt was hung on display at some stage in its history because there is a fabric rod pocket attached to the back of one end. This could easily be removed. But if I had a large enough wall I would love to see this quilt hanging again. Even with the small imperfections it is still a great beauty

Condition: I can't find much wrong with this quilt outside of a faded fold line down the center& a few very small spots or light stains. This comes out of a Century Home Estate Auction. Each 7 point star has a maximum diameter of 19 1/2" and there are at least 25-35 different fabrics that were used to produce each star. I believe that many of the pieces are from old Feedsacks. Every available scrap that the quilter had available to her was obviously incorporated into the construction of these stars. They are machine sewn and upon careful scrutiny of the back of each star. I found tiny bits and pieces of newspaper that she would have used to make her templates/pattern. Unfortunately none of the scraps of paper had dates on them from which would have helped me accurately determine the date the quilter had pieced these together, judging from most of the fabric I'm dating this between 1930s to 1940s. However I'm not an expert on textiles so there is always the chance ... moreI'm wrong. Nevertheless it is a nice collection of six rather large stars that would incorporate well into a quilt top. Linens should be washed in warm water and gentle detergent with a final cold rinse. Bleach may be used on whites to brighten. Antique linens-use very sparingly& soak. One tablespoon of bleach will sanitize a full wash load. Soaking whites for an hour in detergent& a bit of bleach will help remove stains and then give a gentle wash. Repeated washing sometimes helps lighten stubborn stains with gentle agitation. A 1/5 mix of Fibergard Javex mixed with water and dabbed with a Qtip on tiny spots sometimes helps. Oxy Clean sometimes works wonders but do not use on thin or fine linens. Be careful. Stain removers and rubbing will destroy your vintage linens. Antique fabrics such as lace should Not be washed. LOVELY 1920-1930s QUILT~STAR AND CONE PATTERN~FEEDSACK FABRICS & JUVENILE PRINTS
This is a sweet little quilt which I would date from about 1920 to 1930s. This light weight quilt. The"Star and Cone" pattern, measures approximately 79 inches by 66 inches. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with approximately 6 stitches per inch. The stars a made from neat feedsack and juvenile print fabrics. I especially love the red printed pieces with the kitty and the birdies around him! I saw no holes, spots, or stains on the front. The back of the quilt is of the same white fabric as used for the solid white on the front. That backing is turned towards the front and machine stitched on to form the binding. 2 SIDED Antique STAR & Patchwork Quilt BLOCK - Cutter Piece PC - 29 X 32" -
This lovely old quilt piece was cut from a quilt with some damaged areas. The quilt had a piece on the back that was just stitched on at the edges. When I opened it I found a very old quilt in side. It is a tied quilt. The star area was hand quilted just through the top layer of the back of the older quilt. The older quilt has very early tiny blue prints in it. Both were pieced by machine. It is in good condition except for splits in one block on the older side. It is clean, odor free and 29 by 32 inches. I am now listing many antique quilt and coverlet pieces and I am always happy to combine shipping.

It is an antique crazy quilt, which incorporates fan and star patterns, done primarily with satin? or silk? and velvet fabrics and with extensive embroidery. For the last 40 years, at least, it has been in a smoke free and pet free home. It measures 69" X 79" and is in very good vintage condition. There is one edge of the bright blue background which has slightly faded(pic# 7) and there are a small number of pieces in the star design where the fabric has deteriorated. Bold and spectacular ca 1900 patchwork red & white star quilt, 7 SPI
Offered here without reserve is this bold and graphic ca 1900 patchwork star quilt that measures 79 1/2" x 71 1/2" and quilted at 7 SPI. The red is solid and unfaded. Nor are there any repairs to this piece. Indeed, I suspect from its suppleness, that she's never been washed. However, although there are no holes, repairs, or tears, there is s ome subtle staining(loo ks to me to be water staining. Definitely not blood) and thus she could use a cleaning(see my last 4 pictures) But again, though, there is no reserve, although buyer pays $16 for priority USPS domestic shipping.

Gorgeous 1900's Hand Pieced& Quilted 8 Point Star Quilt! Excellent Condition! Take a look at this beautiful. Antique quilt. It is done in red, white, yellow and blue. I believe this quilt dates to the turn of the 1900's or older. It consists of 8 point stars made with 16 pieces in yellow& blue on a background of red and white 2" squares and larger rectangles in a delightful design. On a few of the stars she substituted for a different shade of blue& yellow, she probably ran out of the other. As far as I can tell, it is hand pieced except the last outside row looks machine sewn. It is completely hand quilted in nice precise stitches. The condition is amazing, I didn't see any holes, spots, stains or loose stitches, the fabric is strong with no rot. I didn't see any spots but there may be a pin dot spot or two, ... moreit is hard to see very well in this winter lighting. It is nice and clean. Both for the vintage fabrics but also for the newspaper that the strips of fabric are se wn on. The paper is clearly dated. Dec. 22 1935. The articles and photos are fascinating. There are comics. Advertisements, war pictures, girlie pics etc. etc. The top itself features a crazy spider web strip pattern. The fabrics are great novelty prints, it is in good condition, I noticed light spotting on one tip of a star, this is a large piece it measures approximately 65" x 74" it would lay flat if paper were removed, I did not want to dist urb it too much. Vintage Cotton TEXAS STAR of BETHLEHEM Coverlet Quilt Blanket Pink Antique Woven
This beautiful vintage woven coverlet from the 1930s has been in hiding for a very long time and needs to be seen. Formerly held in a collection and kept in ideal storage conditions this one emerges in superb vintage condition. Nice and clean with the exception of one spot that can be seen in the last photo. Nothing to stop you from enjoying this one. The striking pattern is full of tiny little details that make it most appealing to the eye. The paper tag on one corner is a sale tag from long ago. This coverlet has no sign of a makers tag. The overall size is 78 X 94 inches. This is a very well made and light weight cotton coverlet. Hard to tell which side is the best as it views nicely on both sides. The scalloped border is nicely finished with a square knot type stitched edge. Fine design detailing in the pattern. CONDITION: Just a few ... morethread pulls that are hard to fnd and one spot that looks removable on one corner to worry about. Otherwise. It is in great condition and very soft and strong. Exceptional Feathered Double Star Quilt. Circa 1920's- This is simply a beautiful- and very soft- timeless American quilt from another era in quilt making. Hand Pieced using deep pink. Rich green, and bright white cotton for the pieced blocks. Green and white cottons were also used for the sashing and borders. Measuring 88" x 86" The quilt has a thin cotton batting and a hidden binding(worn as shown) and a white backing. Hand quilted with outline quilting inside the pieces. Chevron and floral quilting on the blocks background, rope quilting on the sashing, and running scallop quilting on the borders at six stitches per inch. Professionally hand laundered. Condition- Excellent for the vintage. We found a couple of tiny fabric splits on the border and there is some wear and a small seam slit on the binding. SWEET double-pink chocolate brown OHIO STAR ca1900 antique quilt w/ provenance

His sweet lightweight Ohio Star quilt features a lovely selection of mostly brown-toned late 1800's prints all prettily framed by wide sashing strips in a cheery double pink. It has some contained issues of fabric tearing(and because of them I didn't attempt to wash out the light storage spotting) but is very much redeemed by the lovely fabrics and the rare extra of two little hand-written notes pinned to a corner. One reads: Belonged to Ettie Hewitt Miller mother of Florence Miller Smith grandmother of Marian Smith Love around 1900. The second simply reads: Mrs. Miller. Size The quilt measures about 68 x 82 inches. The blocks are 8 1/2 inches square. Quilting The hand-quilting is nice. With 5-6 little stitches to the inch. Counting on the top side of the quilt ... moreonly. The star blocks are quilted in an inset-outlined plus in the ditch outlines of the nine smaller squares and then an X corner-to-corner on each. The sashing and borders are quilted in 1 to 1 1/4-inch diagonals. Construction The quilt is entirely handmade and the piecing is tight. Backing. Binding& Batting The backing is a strong. Crisp ivory solid with spotting and stains througout, plus towards the bottom, three areas with tearing and holes including the one coming through from the front. The lovely 3/16-inch self-binding is rolled from back to front and hand-stitched tight. Aside from staining and that 2-inch torn area along the top. A 1-inch tear around the same spot along the opposite edge and maybe a dozen little cuts and frayed spots around those same problem areas, it's really strong; along the sides it's quite perfect and strong. The batting is thin and even. Condition The unwashed quilt's condition is strong but with some definite issues. There are the two blocks along the bottom with torn fabrics. Beautiful vintage 8 point star quilt top-bright red sashing-hand stitched
Up for auction is this lovely vintage 8 point star quilt top. Hand stitched. Each star is made from 8 triangle shaped quilt pieces. There are 28 full stars and 2 partial stars on each end. Stars are very pretty-nice made with good points-some puckering. Bright red sashing. There is some puckering along one of the red seams-pic#8. Last pic shows a damaged corner-looks like it got caught in the vacuum sweeper. Measures 86" long x 72" wide pictured on a queen size bed. A really beautiful quilt top. Antique vtg Primitive Blazing Star Quilt Block c1860-80 Hand-Pc'd LAST ONE
Antique Vintage Primitive BLAZING STAR Quilt Block a.k.a. SUNFLOWER or SUNBURST also called NOONDAY. c.1860-80 CIVIL WAR ERA or earlier. This was bought from a Lancaster County. Pennsylvania antique dealer in the 1990's. Size: The quilt block is approx. 13 inches square or 19" on point as in pix#8. The Blazing Star circle is 10 inches across and the Chrome Yellow center circle is 4.5 inches across. The 16 WHITE diamonds are 2.5" long. This pattern is difficult to piece and it is beautifully sewn by HAND very precisely by an expert. Color: POISON GREEN is the 13.5" background block. After the CHROME YELLOW center of the STAR. There are 8 half diamonds of CINNAMON or DOUBLE PINK alternating with 8 Madder Brown that has a White stripe and polka dots of red, tan and white half diamonds. The large diamonds are WHITE with teeny ... moreblack Dots. The half-diamonds on the outside curved edge are a similar Madder print with dots of red, tan and white on a smaller scale. See an explanation of these fabrics in the pre-1830 section of Eileen Jahnke Trestain's book"DATING FABRICS A Color Guide 1800-1900" There are some small light storage specks barely visible. This is a wonderful old cotton quilt measuring 92" x 68" The quilt is in good cond. with no damages or stains or odors. The quilt pattern is some variation of stars done in mostly browns and blues civil war era fabrics. The colors are still very bright. Has approx. 10 stiches per inch hand sewn. The background colors are red. Tan and white. The patchwork square sections measure 9" Some of the background fabrics may have been sewn on a machine. Nice variety of madder browns in this quilt. One piece of civil war calico looks like it has a small faded spot, but it is actually a fabric flaw from the factory where the tiny flowers were not printed totally on every square inch of the fabric doesn't detract at all from the beauty of this quilt. Nice vibrant colorful patchwork with the same fabric repeated in a stripe at the top and bottom of the quilt. The quilt has a mauve lilac inside border and outside edge trim that is also used in the patchwork pattern as well as in the center of the star. Please note that the top and backing are a uniform yellow color which is a deeper yellow in person than what I was able to capture despite several attempts. not touched up at all) I am not a expert on quilts. But I believe this to be an older quilt; the batting is quite thin as I have seen in other older quilts; it is quilted by hand and has lots of it. Vintage Amish Handmade LONE STAR Quilt ~ 88" x 91" ~Folder ~Cutter?
Vintage Amish Handmade Lone Star Quilt Cutter- Folder ~ Front Porch Worthy! If you like the shabby- country look. this quilt may be for you! We have a soft antique LONE STAR QUILT purchased years ago from an Amish estate sale. This striking quilt does show some signs of wear and a bit of deterioration. So we are classifying it as a cutter or folder quilt. There are no holes or missing fabric; but it's not perfect. It is hand-quilted and machine stitched around the quilt perimiter and boats a nice combination of old fabrics which are probably from the 1930's- 40's. The batting is thin and there is outling quilting and straight line quilting throughout the quilt at about 7 stitches per inch. It measures about 88" x 91" The edges of this binding are frayed in places. But could easily be replaced if this is of concern to ... moreyou. There is also a section along the edge where some of the cross-hatch stitching has deteriorated a bit. In addition, there is some yellowing of the creamy white fabric, but a nice bath should brighten this quilt right up. I've taken LOTS of photos. please ENJOY and bid accordingly. I've used this quilt as a display piece; however. It would also look nice folded at the end of the bed- or a cutter if you so choose. Up for auction is a vintage hand stitched quilt that measures a large 86" x 68" The four colorful stars are made of red. Orange and beige cotton pieces. I have shown in the pictures that the beige fabric is the part of the quilt that is torn. You can also see that the edge of the quilt have major wear. The overall background is white(off white) and the back of the quilt is also a white(off white) cotton fabric which is good condition. There are one or two small spots on the front. Antique vintage 4 Point Star Crazy quilt feedsacks
Four Point Star vintage quilt. 68" x 81" in size. The solid color stars are surrounded by crazy patchwork blocks in floral and novelty prints and solids. Lilac color sashings. The backside is a light peach. Salmon, or pink color I think. It looks a little bit faded in one area. This is not real noticeable. The yellow blocks in 3 corners have some light brown stain that was probably on the fabric when the quilt was made. Otherwise in good condition. A lot of feedsack prints are used on the front. Other fabrics are cotton.

Description: Up for sale is this beaut y of a quilt. It is done so well with the use of the different fabrics& colors. Each star has a solid green fabric inside& is done with small print green& white floral& then accented in a lighter green shade. The edge is done in all 3 colors. There are two different shades of green used in the center of the stars. But they are so close in color, it's hard to tell they are different. I have pictured each shade in the close ups of the stars. This quilt is all hand stitched at 9-10 SPI. There is some beautiful grid& floral stitching. This quilt was made around the 1930's. It measures 95-1/2 X 73-1/4. This i s a real beauty. Condition: I have shown pictures of a couple of very tiny spots on the front of the quilt. As well as a couple of places where there is very light staining. ... moreSome are very hard to see as in the last two pictures of the front, because they are so light. The other pictures are of the reverse side. So the worst of the stains is on the back. There are 4 pictures starting with the tiny little yellow spots that are all on the front. After that, they are all stains located on the reverse side. Minus one that isn't pictured, but is about the same as what's shown. The brownish stain on the reverse is the worst of them. And bright white cotton for the background and deep borders. The quilt measures 94" x 82" has a very thin cotton batting with cotton seed fragments, and a bright white back, which was brought around to the front and hand stitched to form the binding. HAND QUILTED with outline quilting inside each piece. Leaves and floral quilting on the background, and floral and shell quilting on the borders@ 8 stitches per inch. PROFESSIONALLY HAND LAUNDERED. We found a couple light storage spots but no rips, tears or odors. Unfortunately, the acidic dyes used in those days have eaten away the flowers on the Turkey Red with just the yellow leaves remaining, and on the blue fabric leaving small holes, but this quilt is still very sturdy and has many years of use left. 35 Vintage 1920/30's LoneStar Cotton Quilt Blocks This is a very old lot of hand-stitched diamonds. These beautiful blocks were meticulously and evenly stitched together with lots and lots of diamonds. Still quite lively and bright. There are many different prints and solids. Each block has 10 diamonds in a print or solid color, with red at the center, and 5 muslin half-diamonds along the outer edge. The completed blocks measure 10" across the top at their widest point. And 10" long. Because these are so old. They have the usual issues with brown storage spots, age-related darkening; and some of the red diamonds have a sort of black stamp imprint on them. I'm sure a good soak would help remove some of the staining and brighten them up.
